Perfect Eyes Eyebrow & Threading Salon

I’ve gone here off and on for years. They try to match my brows– but don’t quite get it right. Both of my brows are a different shape and so it takes a very special person to understand that and shape them to mirror each other. When walking in the salon is clean yes, however they’re attitudes are a bit awkward and not friendly or inviting at all. Secondly– I think it’s really strange that they always encourage me to get a wax done, yet the bathroom is always unavailable. For seven years their bathroom just doesn’t work?! That’s BS. What kind of hospitality is that to deny a paying customer to use your restroom, especially before a wax service! I’ve found other salons to do my brows and have been pleased with their work because they actually listen. Most importantly– they DO NOT offer their restroom before pushing a wax service. So I will not be going back.

Awful. No customers when I went in and now I know why. The technician kept tapping my hand to let go. Then would thread HARD on very soft skin area on my left eyelid, and I had to ask her twice «should I hold?» She didn’t know and would finally say «um, OK.» Then as I was holding very soft skin and she pressed down hard, knocked my hands out of the way, and kept threading, leading to CUT MY EYELID. When I sat up to check how bad the cut was, she had the nerve to offer me the dirty tissue she’d been using. Then she said «Its fine. I put powder on it later, it go away in few seconds. sit back down so I can do lip.» REALLY? A cut on skin will miraculously heal in a few seconds. Even after she was done, she put some gel on it (which stung), no powder. wish I could give zero stars. Stay away.

Perfect? Not by a long shot.
I was not impressed with the services I received at this establishment. I normally go to Excellence Eyebrow Threading Salon near my house in Brooklyn but I was in a rush after work and decided to stop in here. My eyebrow threading was alright, but after less than a week I can see my hairs returning. The place I normally go to, their threading lasts for almost three weeks. The technician missed several areas of hair on my upper and lower lip. I actually came back the following day to get those missed hairs removed — LOL. My underarm wax was decent but I normally have to point out stubborn hairs anyway. I was charged almost $ 50 for these services so I was kinda pissed since I normally receive better services back in Brooklyn for around $ 26.
While my card was being processed for payment, one of the ladies talked to me about how they are really good at Brazilian waxes and have many women who come in each day to take it all off. Yeah, okay lady. I won’t be one of those women.
I don’t think I’ll be back.

This place is good. Getting your eyebrows done is always an adventure even if you consistently go to the same person. If you go here ask for Heena. I believe shes the owner/​manager or whatever the case may be. She does the best job and she never makes them too thin! I wouldn’t try anyone else there.

Quick and ok service. I actually like it because they dint take long at all and did an ok job!

I came here to get my legs waxed a couple weeks ago. The woman who did them was very nice and chatty. No complaints about the employees (except that she watched me undress from the opening in the door and came right in when I was done. which was a bit uncomfortable).
The quality of the wax, however, was pretty bad. I walked out of there with incredibly stubbly legs. It wasn’t something I could ask her to fix because it was my entire leg. I don’t know if its because she went too quickly or if it was the wax/​method but it basically just broke the hairs off and left me with very stubbly legs with hair too short to go over again.
The price was extremely good for the area ($ 35 for the full leg) but its not worth it if it doesn’t really work.
I gave 2 stars because of the price and the employee I saw but I will NOT be going back here.

I love this place… I have been coming here for several years. I have tried others places but I always come back to them. I live uptown and I work in Long Island City, so it’s a little out of my way but I always make time for myself.
The place is very clean and well decorated. The ladies at this place makes me feels comfortable and they are really friendly. I love the attention I get here. I love the chocolate wax, it’s a whole new experience. It doesnt hurt as regular wax does.

Never have luck at this place. I’ve gotten my eyebrows threaded here several times and like clockwork, I’ll see my ‘brow hairs start growing the next day. Isn’t the point of getting a thread to not see growth for a week or so? Totally not the case whenever I come here.
It’s $ 6 so you get what you pay for: a lackluster ‘brow thread.
There’s a place down John St. that is much better and I don’t see hair growth until 6 – 7 days after I get them threaded.

Two words ladies «Chocolate wax»…
This is my cousin’s (Raquel M) favorite spot. I decided to give it a try after hearing for the one millionth time how great it is and how amazing chocolate wax is. I coordinated and went with her on her next visit. Wow, am I glad I did!
The salon is small, but very clean and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. After trying it all I have to say is: once you go chocolate wax you can never go back ^_​^
Loved the service, the cleanliness and the staff. Will be back.

Surprisingly cheaper than the one I went to back home in VA. Affordable threading but the space is small, cramped even. When I went (mid day during the week) there was a line, but the staff are super quick and efficient. There is a guy who just sits there which is kind of off putting because he doesn’t really do anything except take up space in the closet-​like salon. It does it’s job and I’ll probably come back because cheap + quick in NYC = good find :)

I have found it necessary to update this review and drop stars due to the distracting presence of the «boss man» who is dragging this business down. As far as I can tell, the boss man does little else than disturb the customer’s salon experience through either sleeping in the threading chairs (unsanitary) or loudly talking to the threaders while they are trying to work (distracting and unpleasant for the customer who is trying to relax and disruptive the threader who should be concentrating on the task at hand for which she is being paid). Not satisfied with merely ensuring that the customer’s experience is as unpleasant as possible, the boss man also attempts to nickle and dime customers either through questioning the free eyebrow threading earned after five visits clearly marked on the loyalty card or not honoring the promotion previously advertised on this site. Take your business to a few blocks further down Nassau to Thread.

$ 6.00 plus a loyalty card for threading, you cannot beat that! I always request one particular threader to do my eyebrows and they come out perfect every time. The ladies that work there are so sweet.

I was not impressed with this place. Went for full-​face threading. The woman doing my face rushed through the process and missed a number of hairs. She barely used any lotion afterwards. There was a great deal of confusion with their credit card machine — it wasn’t working properly and they had problems running the card through. They told me to ‘come back’ if I was charged twice. Thread Salon, a few blocks down Nassau Street, does a much better job.

It seems like $ 6** is the most competitive price to get eyebrows threaded in the city (let me know if you know of cheaper) and this place was conveniently located in the Financial District AND open on Saturdays!
The threading was quick, complete with one of those buy 5, get 1 free cards.
I’m not sure if other places usually do this, but they didn’t wipe off the neck of the chair after the person who went before me (excess oil, etc.). The way they have the chairs is that you rest your neck along the top.
**Now $ 7.

I don’t even know where to start… I should have known better than to get waxed at a place that doesn’t take appointments.

The only good thing I can say was that this place was clean and decorated nicely. It’s on a really crappy block of Nassau, but they’ve somehow managed to put together a cute shop. I started with an eyebrow threading (decent) and a lip wax (good). The same girl (NO clue what her name is) then led me back to the waxing room for my leg and bikini. I told her up front that I had sensitive skin, and she said «No problem, no problem, we have special wax.» When I went to disrobe, she told me just to pull up my dress. Huh??? Okay… so she did the half-​leg in record time and moved on to bikini. Again, she told me just to pull my panties aside. Double huh???
Once she finished up (I had to point out some spots that she’d missed, and had to re-​do), she did a half-​assed job cleaning up the wax (LOVE it when I go to get up and the entire table sticks to me) and that was that. Sorry, but a half-​leg and bikini shouldn’t take under 20 minutes. If you’re moving that fast, you’re not doing a good job.
Anyway, I left with wax ALL over my legs and bikini line, and she took some big scary chunks out of my lady-​parts hair and it now looks like I have alopecia on my noonie. Just horrible and totally unfixable.
When I went to pay, I was told that since I was using a credit card I’d have to pay the tax, so «Why don’t (I) go across the street and get cash and save the $ 4?» Um, b/​c I don’t want to pay a $ 3 ATM surcharge to take out $ 20. Then, the woman tells me about how the chocolate wax is special and it’s for sensitive skin and THAT’s why it’s «so expensive» because it’s worth it and blah blah blah. That was the first mention of any sort of upcharge. When I asked her HOW much more it was, she said $ 10! WTF??? I’ve been all over the city and I have NEVER paid more for sensitive skin wax, and I told her so.
Long story short, I got a really poor wax and threading for $ 60 in under 30 minutes. If you’re in the area and feel like being ripped off and abused, definitely stop in. Otherwise, save yourself and SKIP this place. You can get much better work done elsewhere for the same, if not less. I’m going back to Avalon Salon — lesson learned.

There are few good places to go for eyebrow threading in the Financial District. Perfect Eyes is probably the best of the lot. They definitely have the best prices ($ 6 for brows) and one of those cards where you get a free threading after five visits.
Although they’ve never messed up my brows horribly, Salina does the best job. Definitely wait around for her if you have to.

I found this place when I started my new job a year ago, and it’s been great. The staff is friendly and the service is so efficient. Most important, they do a great job with eyebrows, and have one of those «5 eyebrows, get 1 free» promotions year-​round.
Definitely convenient for people who work in the financial district or tribeca area.
Like others have said — definitely not a fancy place, but gets the job done, for the right price.

Like the previous reviewers have said, it’s a simple salon but they do a great job — efficient and quick — and they beautifully shaped my brows.
I recommend them and not because there is a lack of options, but they are really good and SO cheap — $ 6 for brows!
They also said I should come back to get waxed and that they have several types of wax depending on your skin sensitivity. I just might!

I love this place. It’s clean, cheap and the women are so friendly. I have got my eyebrows threaded, my legs waxed & I’ve even gotten my Brazilian bikini wax done here.
