Penelope’s People specializes in child and senior care placements. Our childcare placements include nannies, babysitters, babynurses and housekeepers. Our senior companions are available to keep seniors company, run errands, cook meals (kosher, vegetarian and/or vegan), accompany them to appointments and more!

All caregivers have gone through our extensive screening process, which includes (but is not limited to) 3 rounds of interviews, reference, credit and background checks, as well as personal matching to meet our clients’ needs.

History

Established in 2009.

Penelope’s People was founded in 2009 by New York City grandparents. Although a new company, our founders have 20 years of experience in Home Care. They both grew up in the New York Metropolitan area, and went on to raise three children. Now that their children are settling into growing families of their own, the grandparents are reminded of the pressures of having a baby in a big city.

The number one stressor for many families in New York City is safety, whether you have young children or elderly parents. If you have children, you understand exactly how ominous it could be to leave them with a stranger. This is why we focus on our extensive screening process and select only the best caregivers.

When creating Penelope’s People, the thought was to create a boutique placement agency that centered around making families feel comfortable to give them peace of mind, making their lives easier.
