History

Established in 1988.

Our history begins with our flagship West Village location on Christopher Street back in 1988. Opening our doors for the first time, we made a commitment to always bring the highest level of customer care and reliable ²⁴⁄₇ locksmith services to our fellow New Yorkers.

Our growth was almost immediate. Within a year we acquired University Locksmith. As well as Citi Locksmith and Ultra Locksmith several years later. Demonstrating a proven track record for excellence in integrated security solutions, we continued expanding with nine additional locations servicing NYC’s 5 boroughs.

For the last 20+ years, Paragon has remained true to our commitment and core values. We practice them everyday in the office, with colleagues, over the phone, with customers and our daily being. As a service company, we strive for 100% satisfaction in bringing families, businesses and property managers peace of mind by making their worlds safer and more secure.

Yaniv Z.

Business Owner

When Yaniv and his high school sweetheart, Zohar first traveled from Israel to New York City back in 1988, they were just looking to stay a few days and take in some sights. What resulted was a true testament to hard work, passion, and the American Dream. Having always had a natural gift for mechanical reasoning, Yaniv found his passion in the locksmithing and security. While Zohar made her mark in one of NYC’s most prestigious culinary schools, eventually working the kitchens of famous chefs, such as Daniel Boulud, Rocco DiSpirito, and David Bouley.

Within only one year of arriving in the states, Yaniv had opened the doors of Paragon Locksmith in Manhattan’s West Village. Now 20+ years later, Yaniv prides himself on making Paragon the leading provider of complete security and locksmith solutions to residents and commercial establishments of all sizes and types in the New York City area.
