Cheap, decent fare but powdered guacamole is not authentic Mexican cuisine.

Seriously delicious Mexican cuisine. And inexpensive. You can either order from their tiny take out place or their sit down restaurant. In the Spring and Summer I recommend sitting in their courtyard. Waiter service is quick and attentive. But not pushy.

4 stars. Ordered a beef burrito which was one of the best burritos I have had in NY. The prices are inexpensive, the portions are big and the food is authentic.

Paquito’s is the delivery lunch that always comes through in the end. Their burritos are mammoth and delicious and they are lightening fast. One burrito = two lunches. One order of maduros = happy officemates. I have called, made an order, called again to add something and it has already been out the door. Yes, friends, YES.

Had a huge Cinco De Mayo party at the office and ordered catering from Paquito’s. They were 30 minutes late but it was no big deal to us(feel like I should mention this just in case that won’t fly for you all). Trays and trays ensued. The vat of guacamole was quite popular considering how many people were huddled around it. The burritos were muy bien, having tasted the pork and chorizo myself. Everyone kept praising the food, so you know it’s that good when you have 50+ people telling you so. A lot of food for a reasonable price. will be ordering again.

Cheap and tasty. That’s what this place offers. For $ 7 you get rice, beans, beef or chicken and chopped lettuce & tomatoes. Good portion. The crispy shrimp tacos and packed with shrimp and it’s very tasty. $ 3.50 each. Get 2 of those bad boys and you are set. My friend got a chicken salad and it was not good at all, though. Lots of bland chicken and huge chunks of onions. My main concern with this joint is the actual quality of the food. I get worried when meat and seafood products are unusually cheap and plentiful. This is the only reason why I only eat here rarely.

I’ve only gotten the Shrimp Burrito but it’s amazing. Big filling portions. Ordered at the restaurant once. Clean place, good service. Had it delivered another time. They went from 3rd Ave to Ave C in 12MINUTES! This is my go to Mexican delivery now.

Welcome to small grungy mexicana. I love cheap mexican food, its tasty and big in portion sizes so when I’m really hungry this is the kind of place I look for. I ordered the chicken fajita which was greatttt my friend ordered the enchilada and he claims it was better than mine. The service was quick. portions were huge. We were stuffed by the end of it(we also polished off our plates which wasn’t the best idea). Don’t expect anything of the ambiance, you’re not going here for a great dining experience– simply for the FOOD.

The food was solid. I had a cheese enchilada and my wife had an Acapulco burrito with black beans. Both were good. Not amazing, but good. But this place gets four stars because: –it’s not crowded on a Friday night at 8:30. –the service is friendly. –it’s BYOB. So get some brews from the bodega next door and make a night of it. We hung out for an hour or so. Quality food, good service, reasonable prices, and a space that’s not overflowing with Gramercy madness.

I was new to NY when i asked my coworkers for a mexican place for lunch. it blew my mind when no one in my in 20 plus office didn’t have a suggestion. i remembered walking by this place and thought why not. Thank God i did. I love this place. it is always clean and smells great walking in. I have tried every burrito on the menu. My favorite is the Maria and shrimp burrito. if you are looking for a huge burrito and a drink all for less than 10 bucks than this is the place for you. Only con it is a cash only place.

Maybe my expectations were too high from the other reviews… After reading their website and reviews, my friends and I decided to try it! Coming from California, I expected it to be the Mexican food I enjoyed growing up, especially when their site says«Cal-Mex». I liked that the chips were thin, crispy, and crunchy and food was out quickly. BUT, I didn’t like that it was cash only, the drink fridge was broken, and overall, the food was bland and soft/mushy. This was my first experience in Mexican food in NYC, so maybe it is the best? I’ve had WAY better, at least in other parts of the country.

I have only eaten at Paquito’s once. I ordered their Shrimp fajita combination. There was a lot of food on my plate. Overall, I find my meal to be A-ok…nothing spectacular. I hope to try it again soon and hopefully, I will like it better.

Very solid, and fairly low prices for cooked fresh and fast Mexican style food. The atmosphere is very basic and a total hole in the wall, but the service is fast and the basic soft tacos are something like $ 2.50 each and are fairly large for the price. I usually get a simple rice beans and grilled meet platter and it’s always tasty and fresh. Also I’m a fan of their Tamales and salsa Verde that’s kicked up with a lot of fresh lime and spices, very tasty. Definitely a quick and easy place to grab a quick bite… Oh and CASHONLY.

I live two blocks away from Paquito’s but it still took me over a year to discover it. I now eat there once or twice a week and usually order the spinach enchiladas. My boyfriend’s favorite is the cactus burrito. The rice and beans are tasty. This place is definitely fast food, but the sauces make the dishes better than average and the prices are more than fair. Give Paquito’s a try.

Stephhhhh, Stephhhhhhh… That is my roommates chanting my name after i fell into a food coma after consuming this gargantuan combo burritto. Unlike smart roommate a) who saved half of this beast, I ate the whole thing. A mix of rice beans, sour cream, guac, chicken, carne asada — the taste was that of the expected burritto messy mix(you know what I’m talking about) but for $ 7, speedy delivery — this burritto really fulliflled my gloomy and hungry Sunday as a cheap and satisfying coma inducing sedative. I will return on another random Sunday, when i’m too hungover to be awake or if yup — I’m really really hungry

I love love LOVE this place! First off, burritos are MASSIVE and are a way better deal than Chipotle. i’ve tried the chicken, pork, and chorizo burritos and all were solid. I’m a big eater and I’m always pleased to be damn full after paying only seven dollars. Tortilla chips here are very good as well. The guac here is pretty good but I’ve had it delivered once and it was just doused in lime juice and tasted nasty. I’d highly recommend eating in over delivery.

I’ve only been here once, the atmosphere is like the chicken spot of mexican food. This is why: It’s damn good you may not want to stay there and eat it’s messy food is amazing. The good is hella good, messiness aside, that’s part of what I enjoyed about sitting down and eating at this spot. I wish that it was a bit speedier(I was late getting back to work) but they work hard to make sure you enjoy it. The atmosphere is so convincing you feel like you just stepped in to the bottom house business of someone in mexico. Small though, so it gets crowded or appears to be when there’s more than say…8 people in there. I will definitely start making the trek from union sq to this tasty repast more often. Thumbs up!

I can forgive the fact that chips don’t come with the guacamole(and cost extra!) because the carne asada taco was decent. I can forgive the fact that the cactus taco fell apart because it was nice and spicy. I can forgive the grimy atmosphere because a Jackie Chan movie was playing on the TV. But your soap smells weird. I washed my hands, and they smell weird. And I can’t stop smelling them. It’s not good.

Tried the tacos, nachos and a burrito — all good and cheap. Friendly, speedy service found in this small spot. Good find.
