Come Celebrate our 30th Anniversary

Noticing the potential for growth and a lack of good food, a young restaurateur named Vijay Gupta opened Pappardella Cucina Tipica Italiana to the public in 1982 as the first Nothern Italian restaurant in the area. Quickly establishing itself as one of the finest Italian eateries in the area, Pappardella attracted a loyal following of the Upper West Side residents, including many of the most beloved celebrities and artists.

Thirty years later, Pappardella has established itself as an Upper West Side institution for the freshest possible pasta as well as a place to call home away from home. We welcome everybody to join our family!
