Established in 2003.

Since its inception in 2003, Ovando has blossomed into a full-​service floral design & event production company, celebrated for a modern style which inspires sculptural arrangements. Sandra de Ovando’s unique approach & design savvy have snagged her clients to the likes of Hermes, Donna Karan, and Saks Fifth Avenue, as well as a host of other New York celebrities, restaurants, and boutique hotels. From stunning bouquets and moody lighting to the full-​scale construction of breathtaking environments, Ovando is a dazzling celebration of form, function, and flowers.

Unquestionably so, Sandra de Ovando was fated to become an influential force in New York’s design milieu. Born in Mexico City to Spanish and Russian parents, Sandra fell in love with nature, flowers and bold colors at a very young age when she often spent weekends gardening with her mother. «I was fascinated with the intrinsic beauty of flowers and loved to spend hours mixing together different colors, shapes and blossoms!» she remembers. Later, in her travels throughout Europe and Asia, Sandra discovered exotic flowers, plants and fruits which she began incorporating into her designs — hence was born the signature style that today defines Ovando’s dynamic compositions.

Intent on indulging her bright passion for flowers and design, Sandra moved to NY where she soon after opened Ovando in 2003. Clients raved about her knack for creating dramatic compositions that reveal a love of color as well as a deep appreciation for the purity and natural sophistication of plants & flowers.
