Our Lady of Sorrows Church – Lower East Side

last month i had no faith, no hope and not much to say about our lady off sorrow on pitt street. i married to a wonderful woman there on june 23 14 years ago. as time went by i lost my faith, felt empty and hopeless. my marriage on the brink of a disaster. so out of desperation, i found myself making very bad choices and decisions, i walked by the church, asked to speak with father Tom, heck what do i have to do and lose. he opened up his door to me, and listened to me ramble about my life, and how much pain i had caused a family that i was blessed with. he hugged me and asked me to pray and told me that god has a way of working into peoples hearts. i not know what happened to me that day, but i tell you one thing, father Tom without saying much, said a whole lot. he made me feel wanted, and needed. thanks father Tom.
