One World Observatory

What an amazing experience!
I purchased my tickets online beforehand and it was extremely easy and convenient as we walked right in. Because it was not crowded when we went we got our own elevator ride to the top. It worked out quite well as I cam here with my date. The elevator ride was amazing. It was less than a minute long and besides for our ears popping it was spectacular.
The 360 degree views were stunning. You can literally walk around in a cirlce and see all of Manhattan. It almost felt like we were on an amusement park ride.
When you get to the top they take a photograph of you which was a nice except it costs $ 20 or 30 bucks which is a rip off.
Other than that 5 stars experience for sure !

I purposefully didn’t read the other reviews because I feel everyone should have their own experience here.
I am a native New Yorker. Being the Towers to then to Ground Zero, then the ⁹⁄₁₁ Memorial, then to see the ⁹⁄₁₁ Museum… I knew the One World Observatory would be something I needed to see and feel.
My review is going to be pretty detailed…
Being lucky enough to watch the structure being built over the grueling years, was just so spectacular. Truly mind blowing. Something that made me happy and yet sad at the same time.
Every time I ever went downtown, I always morphed into a little kid just peering up to the sky and taking in the beautiful architecture and the immense love and pride I had in my city.
My family and I got tickets in advance but, it was for the day that the blizzard of 2016 was supposed to hit. In the days preparing for the storm, I emailed and asked if we could postpone our tickets to the following weekend. I received a response the next day saying I could and just pick a day within 14 days to reschedule. The email correspondence was person to person which was really great. No «auto-​response» email. I just really didn’t want to lose my opportunity to visit The Observatory.
The following weekend was beautiful! Even a no-​hat/​glove/​scarf January day! We got there easily via subway. As we walked up the stairs to the front doors, I couldn’t help but look up. The top of the building got lost in the clouds like it had its own heavenly nook up there. I was enamored. I was scared and excited to see the world through the new Observatory’s windows/​eyes!
Obviously, there is security. But don’t you almost look forward to walk through security? Please, scan the hell out of me! I appreciate it.
I must say, every single one of the staff members were engaged, friendly, hyped-​up, and happy to just be there. They made me feel that they were proud to work at One World Trade.
As we made our way up, we all stood in front of these rectangular screens. We waited for a movie to begin. It was basically was the building of the tower. The screens then lifted and unveiled the view we were about to embark on. I heard people choking back tears as the screens lowered. This… was…emotional. Emotional indeed.
We were to «enjoy the day» by the upbeat employees as we entered the elevator banks. Elevators, which are over 1,000ft up… As I stepped on, I automatically was scared. It was that feeling in your mind, of a ride on a roller coaster before the final drop. The ride was nothing like that though. There was a lot of history in these 12 seconds, as we were darted up over 900 feet to the top of this tower.
Some of my fam were a bit woozy after the elevator ride but, and there are plenty of benches to sit on. I needed to walk around and see this city I live in 2016. I had been to the Twin Towers a long time ago and put my forehead on the window to look down. This was the first thing I did as a 34 year old girl. To just touch the glass with both hands… so brought me back.
Although, it isn’t the actual Twin Towers it made me feel as if «The Freedom Tower» looks over the places of where her «Twins» proudly once stood. She now stands tall for every single life that was lost.
It is hard to rationalize that. But it gives me hope, a little.
As we made our way to the breathtaking views, it was a bit of a painkiller. What I really kinda accepted and halfhearted appreciated, was this skyscraper is the non-​memorialized feeling of it. As much as I expected the ⁹⁄₁₁ remembrance, there really was nothing of that… it has the One World new beginning which I get. It is one of those experiences I will NEVER FORGET!
The only thing I didn’t get was the fact that we had no idea what we were looking out at.

I absolutely had an amazing time. We barely had a wait since our scheduled time had passed so they let us in before everyone else. Once inside we went through security and stood in line for all of maybe 15−20min until we all got into the elevator. The elevator ride up was amazing and the presentation they did before you saw the view of the city was spectacular. The view absolutely speaks for itself. However, I did feel a little bit «off» being so high up. My equilibrium had me a little uneasy but I pushed through it. I highly recommend stopping here while in NYC. You won’t be disappointed.

A Truly Emotional Experience!
The Observatory at One World Trade Center is a must see for anyone visiting New York City. What has been done with an area destroyed by one of the worst events in the history of the world is truly amazing. I visited as the Center opened at 9am and there weren’t many people in line. Several people have talked about priority access but that must be for weekends and other crowed times. On a weekday in the morning, there don’t appear to be too many people.
Walk into the new One World Trade Center from the PATH transit crossing and you will see the newly designed entrance to the building. You can tell there has been a lot of thought put into the building design and attraction presentation. The ride up is wonderful and there’s nothing really to spoil. You can see videos of the ride up on Youtube. However the only real way to experience it is live!
There is a $ 30 cost to visit the Observatory and yes they will try to take your picture and sell you packages at the end. You can avoid that by simply avoiding the pictures and walking left instead of right as you’re approaching the photographer.
The views are truly amazing from what is deemed as the Tallest Building in the Western Hemisphere. I would like to visit at different times of the day as the sun rising from the East is not the best lighting for the view towards Central Park. Late afternoon would be the best for that.
There is also a café and restaurant at the top that would make for a great place to sit, relax and enjoy a meal in the sky.

The best views of NYC!!! The observatory on the top of the One World Trade Center provides panoramic views of the city. So amazing! We purchased priority access tickets online and avoided the lines. This was definitely the way to go!
The elevator ride up and down were so cool. Its walls turned into screens and on our way up, we were treated to a video rendition of what the NY skyline looked like many years ago. Going down was just outright cool! It made me forget about how I dislike crowded elevators and long rides in them.
When we got up to the observatory, we were able to soak in the different views. I remember thinking we were so high in the sky!!! It was crowded and everyone was taking pictures, but I didn’t mind that. We took tons of pictures ourselves. We even sat at a cute restaurant, had a glass of wine and ate lunch.
We did rent that iPad which helps you locate certain landmarks in the NY skyline. Honestly, we thought it was a waste of money.
This is a must-​see if you are visiting NY. We went there after touring the 9 – 11 Museum, which is nearby. The building is such a lovely addition to the NY skyline…

Breathtaking views of New York City. They did such a wonderful job with making everyone who visits the observatory get hyped up for it. The presentation is so AMAZING! I will not give any spoilers away lol. My husband and I visited today (Tuesday) and there were absolutely no lines. The tickets were also purchased ahead of time. The only little downside was the security check… It took forever!!! I wanted to reject the x ray because of the baby, but they said it was safe.
The views are amazing, although you’ll have those particular type of people hogging the views lol! Be patient my fellow Unilocalers.
We also have a bite at the ONE restaurant, but there isn’t much of a selection to choose from for entrees. We just shared a calamari, and that was a HUGE portion.
Definitely come view this place. It is so amazing… Just remember to purchase your tickets ahead of time, and if you are coming during a busy season for NYC, purchase the priority-​no doubt.

WOW.
This might be the best attraction in the city! For starters it was only 38 bucks for the ticket, they charge more than that to go to the top of some of the shorter towers. The whole experience was just very well thought out, you could tell a lot of planning went into everything. Plus you get the best views in the whole city in the tallest tower on this side of the world. I’m going to tell everyone about it and plan on doing it again next time I’m in the city! This is a must see!!!

What an incredible experience, I recommend it to everyone from a tourist to a seasoned New Yorker. We went at 7:15, right before they close, on a Friday night. It was perfect because not many people were there– no lines, crowds, etc. We could really enjoy the views uninterrupted.
The «wow!» moments start before you even get to the top, as you walk through hallways of bedrock all the way at the bottom on your way to the elevator. The elevator experience was spectacular, not only was it faster than I expected but the vertical timeline on the wall-​sized screens blew me away. As for the 360 degree views… You have to see it for yourself.

I’ve lived in New York for more than ten years now. I have had the opportunity to visit the Top of the Rock, and the Empire State Building. When it comes to observatories, this one takes the cake!
With One World Trade (formerly Freedom Tower) being a brand new building and all, the creators had the opportunity to turn your plain old observatory visit into a full experience from the moment you step inside.
By step inside, I should clarify: Your timed entry ticket gets you thru the initial staff. You’re let into the building slowly, line by line. Down the escalator and to the main Observatory entrance. Only then once your ticket is scanned and you pass thru the metal detectors does your experience actually begin.
Without providing any spoilers, my only advice is to pay attention to what’s around you. There’s hallways with various screens and rock formations, providing lots of information on the building construction and more. Once you’re up top, you’re led thru a few more pieces (iPad presentation — cost extra $ to take with you, and a photo op to pick up at the exit) before they finally let you roam free throughout the two floors of the observatory. While there is no outside deck, you can get up and close to the windows for unobstructed views at every angle that truly look surreal.
On the upper level of the observatory, there’s a café as well as a full bar/​restaurant. If you’ve got some time to relax, I highly recommend having a glass of champagne at the bar.
Exiting, once downstairs, is super easy and quick. Oh, and by the way, be sure to pay attention in the elevators on the way up and down. You’ll be surprised how quick the ride is!

This is the observatory everyone has been waiting for, but did it live up to the hype?
The observatory has its own entry on the West Street side of the building. Tickets can be purchased inside, or you can buy them in advance online. Entries are timed every 15 minutes, but you can stay as long as you want once inside. Tickets are $ 32 each.
You initially take an escalator down to the main entrance where they’ll scan your ticket and you will have to go through a security checkpoint similar to TSA at the airport, but you get to keep your shoes on. Just beyond security is a huge wall map with ever-​changing stats on the amount of visitors and miles travelled to get there, as well as a live indicator of where those entering hail from. From there you walk through a corridor of stone acknowledging the bedrock of the building’s foundation. There are some factoids projected on some of the rocks, but they only stay on for a little while, then fade away. That’s fine if you’re waiting in a long slow line, but not when it’s moving quickly (as ours was). If you stop to wait for it to appear again you hold up the whole line.
Next, you’re directed into your elevator to take you to the observatory. Three of the elevator’s walls are floor to ceiling monitors that show a digital depiction of the evolution of the neighboring area. This is well done, but the elevator ride is just too quick to truly appreciate it. Stepping off the elevator you are guided to a narrow but wide corridor where a brief welcome video is projected on the wall. At the end of it the wall lifts up in sections to reveal the view of the city below.
Your next stop is going to be a sales pitch that you’re stuck listening to. They have iPads you can rent for $ 15.00 that are calibrated with the view from wherever you’re standing and you can learn more about items in that view by touching them on the screen. It’s pretty clever and can be useful if you’re not familiar with New York City.
Now you finally get to go to the 360 degree observation deck view, but not without taking the obligatory picture-​for-​purchase first.
The views are amazing, including several states, 8 bridges and almost all of Manhattan. It seemed a little hazy when we went, but «…on a clear day you can see forever…». It’s a bit surreal when you think about just how high in the air you are.
At the north and south sides there are rings of ‘City Pulse’ television monitors (that kind of resemble a stargate). Employees will periodically do presentations within these rings discussing some of what you’re seeing. Somewhat interesting.
One big negative when taking photos is that there is often a reflection and/​or glare in the windows, so frame your shots accordingly.
There’s an elevated platform called a «Skyportal» where you stand on a glass floor over support beams with more television monitors underneath with a video of the traffic below. Unfortunately, it’s just a video and isn’t even remotely comparable to the Willis Tower Skydeck in Chicago.
There’s a restaurant and café up one floor where you can grab a quick snack or a nice, sit-​down meal. Expect to pay higher prices than normal because you’re a captive audience with one of the best views in town.
Of course, there’s a gift shop with expectedly overpriced souvenirs you’ll pass through before you can head back down so be prepared.
The elevator ride down has more cool images on the walls, but the ride is just too quick.
Having also been to the Empire State Building as well as Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center), I was a bit disappointed here. The other two have quite a bit of information about their construction and history, as well as outdoor observation decks, but this does not. I think most of that is reserved for the ⁹⁄₁₁ memorial and museum (both must-​dos). Also, if you have to choose between only one of the three, ask yourself what you want to see and experience. This is the most expensive of the three and, because you’re standing in the Freedom Tower, you won’t be able to get a picture of the Freedom Tower in the skyline.

Nun war ich hier am ehemaligen Ground Zero. Diesen Onw World Center wurde auch als «Freedom Tower» bezeichnet. Man muss entweder online oder vor Ort Tickets buchen für bestimmten Zeit. Da ich nicht wüßte, habe ich daher ein Ticket für den nächsten Tag besorgt. So, angekommen, hat der Sicherheitsfrau uns informiert, dass man oben null Sicht hat und auf anderen Tag umbuchen kann. Das haben wir auch getan und bekamen Tickets an Silvester-​Tag. Das Ticket kostet 32 Dollar, für Senioren 30 Dollar.
Als wir im Aufzug standen, staunten wir nicht schlecht. 1. gab es an die Wände einen Film, wie New York aufgebaut wurde. Das war der Hammer. und dazu ist der Aufzug unheimlich schnell. ca. 1 Minute bis zur 102. Stockwerk.
Oben angekommen, haben wir tollen Blick über ganz NY und NJ. Woah ist unster 1. Ausdruck. Ich selbst war 1999 im alten WTC ganz oben. Nun bin ich nach 16 Jahren wieder ganz oben. Da habe ich selbst Gänsehaut bekommen.
An allen Seiten hat man Superblick. Hier gibt es auch ein Shop, leider sehr teuer. Und eine kleine Kneipe, den wir auch besuchten. Haben Brooklyn Lager getrunken. War sehr lecker. Hier gibt es sogar Free Wifi.
Auf dem Weg nach unten gibt es wieder einen Film an die Wände und zwar NY über nacht. Es ist noch schneller, ca. 50 Sekunden.
32 Dollar ist happig, aber es lohnt auf jeden Fall sehr.

Since One World Trade Centre opened, my partner & I have wanted to go visit the site. We absolutely loved the ⁹⁄₁₁ Museum as we thought it was such a just tribute, so thought that One WTC would be such a powerful observatory to compete with Empire State and the Rock.
We purchased our tickets online with priority entry and OMG I am so glad that we did. We probably skipped approximately 2 hours worth of lines.
The elevator ride & the presentation up the top (sorry, I won’t give away any surprises) was amazing with the visual displays. I do find it a little unfortunate that the staff have to cram everyone in like sardines as it makes seeing the visual effects so much harder to see and get the full experience. They need not be so greedy for ticket sales and allow people to get a enjoyable and less crowded experience.
The view up the top isn’t bad. They were good views, however I did tend to prefer the experiences at it’s competition uptown.
Also, the pricing to go up is probably a little over the top. But if you still want to go up, please pay more for the priority access.

J’étais déjà allé à la Willis Tower de Chicago avec leur attraction «The Ledge» et j’hésitais à consacrer 30 $ pour remonter dans une tour. Mais lors de ma visite du financial district j’ai craqué et je me suis retrouvé au 102eme étage de la tour la plus haute des États unis (en comptant l’antenne, sinon ça reste la Willis la plus grande, bref la gueguerre Chicago-​NY). Et ça en valait la peine. J’y suis allé de nuit pour voir les lumières de la ville et aussi pour éviter le monde (tickets pour 20h: 15 minutes d’attente avant de monter). L’ascenseur propose une rapide vue de l’évolution de la Skyline, puis on nous révèle la vue avant de nous proposer un guide sur iPad pour compléter la visite. 15 $ quand même, je passé mon chemin. Ensuite on passé devant le restaurant puis enfin on y est, on peu profiter de la vue ! Magnifique de voir NYC de nuit. cependant contrairement à l’Empire state on né verra pas central parc et on né verra les autres buildings que de loin mais quand même, c’est beau. Deux guident animent deux anneaux d’écrans et donnent des infos et fun facts sur les monuments et NY en général, c’est sympa mais bon ça gâche les deux meilleurs points de vue. Très belle expérience !

Yes it’s touristy and busy, but it’s good fun.

Totally worth the price of admission. The sixty second ride up an elevator with a 270 degrees movie of Manhattan «rising» gets you to the Observation Floor. In addition to breathtaking views, there is a nifty iPad rental option for 15 bucks to give you a Google Maps type of interactive display. A lot of the reviewers complained that the glass would reflect their flash and ruin their pictures. I found that pictures came out fine with the flash off. There is gift shop, and café with frest fruit, yogurt, etc.

My last trip to the Twin Towers prior to the tragic events of 9 – 11 was October 1998. My friends and I were in town for Game 2 of the World Series to watch my Yankees win game 2 of the World Series at the Stadium the night before. We stayed at the Marriott. I still remember the breathtaking views afforded from the indoor observatory and outdoor observation deck at the south tower. In addition to those views one cannot forget the view from Windows on the World, the restaurant located in the north tower. Needless to say I was eagerly anticipating the day One World Observatory became open to the public.
I visited the new observatory with my Mom in July. I don’t know what it is with sports, the World Trade Center, and me but it was the same day of the parade celebrating the US Women’s Soccer Team World Cup Championship. I was able to make a reservation for my Mom and me two days prior at $ 32 per person. I agree with everyone else, I strongly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance. It took no time for us to line up at our reservation time, get through security, and in the elevators.
I do feel there is a bit of a gimmicky financial tone to the entire process. For starters I am not interested in stopping and taking photos against a backdrop as if I am entering Magic Kingdom or a cruise ship. I understand One World Observatory is now an attraction but giving the circumstances I feel it is a bit cheesy, and irrational to charge another significant amount of money for souvenir. The iPad rental charge is a little outrageous. The gift shop based on location and value is pointless. Majority of the items are priced excessively. I can’t help but feel as if the entire process is benefiting financially from a tragedy.
There are some interesting displays along the way such as understanding the foundation the building is on, and the history of the lower Manhattan area. The elevator ride up provides you with a video timeline of the lower Manhattan area as it shuttles up to the 102^nd floor. It reminds me of the elevators in the old towers that rocketed up to the observatory. The only difference is that you don’t feel it as much and the video serves as a distraction. As for the views there is not much to complain or rave about. Find a spot where no one is sitting along the windows, and not much glare and you will see that the view is quite amazing.
The World Trade Center wasn’t just a tourist destination for me. Growing up in NYC I shared many moments there from shopping, and having lunch with my parents during the summer months when my Dad worked at the Exchange. I guess you can say I am still holding onto those moments, which is why I feel that the current attraction disappointed me by not respecting and using the events to price-​gouge tourist and locals alike.

What … a … view! You can call it breathtaking, spectacular, amazing, but no words could really describe how awesome the view was from this observatory. I’ve been to a few observatories over the past few years — The Willis Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, Space Needle to name a few — and this one tops them all in my mind.
As a native New Yorker, I try to avoid doing as many ‘touristy’ things as possible, but this was one I couldn’t pass up. My girlfriend and I purchased tickets for 3:30pm to visit on a random Sunday afternoon in November. We came just before sunset and thankfully we did purchase tickets at that timeslot because there were quite a few things to see before going to the top. Based on our experience, here are a few tips:
— On the elevator ride up, there’s a cool video that they play on all of the walls of the elevator. Basically, it’s a video of the downtown Manhattan area being built from the ground up so get your cameras out!
— Try to purchase tickets for a weekday or Sunday when there’s less foot traffic. On the Sunday afternoon we visited, there were a decent amount of people so during sunset there was a clamor to stand next to the windows to get the perfect shot. However, people did move once they got their photos, but others just stayed in place throughout.
— Choose a time about 1 – 1.5 hours before sunset. There are a few reasons for this:
(1) Not only will you have enough time to take daylight photos outside, inside and at the top, but you’ll also be able to get to experience a view of the city during the day and night.
(2) There is much to read, see and even a quick movie to watch prior to heading to the top so you don’t want to have to rush through it all. Take it all in leisurely.
(3) You don’t need more than 1.5−2 hours here so once the city goes dark you can get a few night photos in and be on the way in time for dinner!
(4) And of course, you’ll get to see a beautiful sunset over NYC! About 10 minutes prior to sunset, there are a few ideal spots to stand at – the side facing New Jersey because that is where the sun will set or the side facing uptown/​the Empire State Building because you will see the sun slowly setting on all of Manhattan.
On the day we visited, we really lucked out as the weather cooperated and the sun set beautifully on the city. When the sun set, I can’t count how many gasps I heard from tourists and it was truly jaw-​dropping as I had never had such a view of NYC. At the end of the day, the entire experience was something that I felt not only tourists should check out, but all New Yorkers too so get to it!

$ 32 for the most spectacular view on high that you’ll ever find. A 360 degree viewpoint gave me a different perspective of NY, and it will you, too. But, it’s a lot less about 9/​11, and more of a historical, an homage to NYC, per say.
The grounds that surround the building give more to ⁹⁄₁₁ than this building does, and I suppose, that was the plan.
Pick a clear day, and you can see forever. Worthy? Yes. Go everyday? No.

Espectacular experiencia (prestar atención y subir en un ascensor con poca gente), desde el ascensor hasta el auditorio del piso 102, vistas impresionantes, y lo bueno es que no compiten con top of the rock por ejemplo. Genial para un día despejado, cerca del medio día, para que no salga la sombra de la torre en las fotos. Muy bueno todo. Bastante gente, se puede reservar el acceso para minimizar la cola, es bastante «corta la visita» lo cual, también esta bueno si se quiere aprovechar el día.

Wow. That sums up the feeling you get when you get up to the top. You really can’t beat the views from up here — their slogan/​tag line is «See Forever» and you kind of feel like you can! Fantastic views of the Brooklyn Bridge, GWB, Statue of Liberty (and Jersey City/​Hoboken/​Weehawken, NJ) on one side — and Midtown and well beyond on the other. If you ever visited the observation deck in the South Tower at the original WTC you can expect a similar panorama here except this deck is completely indoors. In my opinion, that takes away from the experience a little bit as I think the outdoor element of the original observation deck was the most exciting part.
The elevator ride up to the deck here is very cool. The only thing I didn’t care for was that once you are up there, you have to wait to not just get people into the actual area where you can freely walk around and look out — AND you have to listen to a little sales pitch trying to get you to rent an iPad like device that you can point at the windows and it tells you what you are looking at. While I think the device is cool and so is the idea, the «salesy» manner in which it was presented was a turn off. Also everything up there — from souvenirs to the food/​drinks — are a bit pricey. Not surprising since it IS a tourist attraction — but if you are budget conscious, keep this in mind.
Overall the price of admission is worth it for the view, I would say — it’s definitely one you will not get anywhere else in the city.

Made the reservations online, the day before the visit. I highly recommend doing this, if you know what day and time you would like to go. The line for buying tickets on the spot was very long, when we reached there. Those who have online reservations printed, do not need to wait in line, just go straight to the elevator line.
The short movie they show, after you get down from the elevator was just ok, but in the end they raise the curtain and you get your first look at the city from 102 floor. That was just WOW. Then you go to floor 101, which is the actual 360 degree observatory.
Go on a clear day!

One of the best observatories I’ve been to. Actually, the only one.
As you go up in the elevator, you totally forget how fast you’re going and how many floors you’ve already passed. The elevator shows you the beginning of the city. As a swamp, a colony, through the industrialized era, all the way to today.
Okay this paragraph will sound a tad bit creepy but read it to the end. As you exit out of the elevator, you are put into a dark room, everyone lined up, shoulder to shoulder. A video is projected onto the wall. Shows you everything great about NYC. As the video ends, the wall rises to the ceiling and uptown view is revealed. (Dang, I wrote that like an erotic fiction, LOL)
The observatory is totally 360. Walk around and enjoy the view. Take lots of photos. There will be no reception but WiFi is free! Facetime with your loved ones and show off where you’re at.
TIPS:
Go on a Wednesday/​Thursday afternoon 2 – 3 pm — easy line, no wait to go up.
Bring gum to chew cause elevation will change quick.
Eat before hand (there might be a wait).

The construction in the nearby area. But who cares?!

EVERYTHING. The experience, the architecture, the views!!!
Would come back. Definitely.

PARKING: Parking in the street is a challenge. We had to drive around for a while to find a spot where we could park long enough without getting a ticket. I wish they had a parking garage!
TICKETS: $ 32 per adult plus tax. Buy tickets online it is faster so you don’t have to wait in line to buy them. Just be sure to screen shot each ticket bar code on your phone and they will scan your phone. No need to print them. Just choose the closest time you think you’ll be there. UP: You watch a super short video presentation then go up an elevator to floor 102 which also has a presentation inside the elevator. I love it so it passes the time in the elevator. Very smart of them. Then you walk down two floors to floor 100 which is the actual 360 degree indoor observatory of NYC! They offer a tablet that shows you where everything is but you have to pay to use it. I didn’t see anybody pay to use it. They take a picture of you and green screen a day and night view behind you. About $ 30 per picture or a package deal if you want to buy both.
VIEWS: Foggy days give little visibility but you can wait it out and still see a 360 degree view. Once you go up there is no refund, but the security guy offered a point of no return before we went up to trade our tickets for a different time or day. We took his suggestion to spend as much time as we want because many times the fog clears. Indeed the fog would clear then come back then clear then come back. But we weren’t about to leave and come back to look for parking. We made the best of it. I like that you’re indoors and protected from the cold rainy weather. Or in the summer it’ll be protection from the heat. Good restrooms by the gift shop areas.

OVERALL: I recommend this spot for views of NYC! I’ve seen Top of the Rock which was cool too, but definitely froze my butt off at that one. So if you’re sensitive to weather then definitely check this one out. It’s new just opened May 2015 so everything is clean and fresh modern feeling.

Estoy totalmente de acuerdo con las otras reseñas en español acerca de este lugar, sin embargo yo no he subido a los otros dos observatorios, por lo que este me pareció incre y definitivamente altísimo. Para ver Central Park y así he subido a las oficinas de Sony o para ver Soho lo he hecho desde las de EMI.
Lo que tiene de bueno este lugar es el show que dan para una simple subida a un mirador: uno camina entre videos de héroes del ⁹⁄₁₁ y rocas (falsas) y cimientos para subir por un elevador sus 104 pisos y 541 mestros en 47 segundos con un 3D que simula la construcción con los años de la ciudad y concluyendo con el mismo edificio; después lo pasan a uno a una sala donde con multimedia lo impregnan a uno del sabor de Nueva York para terminar con un ligero vistazo (luz y sonido a todo) de toda la manzana. Ya después uno pasa al lugar que es cerrado, cierto, pero de 360 grados. Tiene restorán, bar, tiendita de souvenirs y por 15 usd unos dudes te rentan un ipad con información en realidad aumentada de todos los edificios de NY.
Al final no me sentí timado (el video de bajada en el elevador es diferente al de subida) y lo que me atrae de este lugar es de-​fi-​ni-​ti-​va-​men-​te estar en un lugar cargado de sentido histórico. No hay un sólo ser de esta generación sobre este planeta que no sepa de este preciso lugar. Al salir puedes visitar el museo del ⁹⁄₁₁ y/​o pasarte a comprar a Century 21.

An der ehemaligen Stelle wo früher die Twin Tower standen wurde jetzt ein neuer Tower errichtet. Für € 32 is die Höhe des Eintritts schon recht happig, aber wenn man schon mal in NY ist, dann nimmt Man das auch mal mit.
Der Ride mit dem Fahrstuhl nach oben geht unverschämt schnell und ist nett animiert, die gesamte Fahrstuhlwand ist Animationsfläche der Umgebung, die man zunehmend aus der Vogelperspektive sieht.
Oben angekommen läuft noch ein kleiner Film und dann gehen die Verblendungen hoch und man hat freie Sicht auf die Skyline von Manhattan. Sieht schon cool aus, auch wenn es teuer ist, lohnt sich das schon! Man kann natürlich komplett einmal rumgehen und hat ein 360 Grad Panorama, sieht schon nett aus!
Essen, Trinken, Souvenirs kaufen — all das kann man natürlich auch machen! Also, hoch da, es lohnt sich, auch wenn’s teuer ist!

Es simplemente una belleza. Realmente te devuelven lo que pagas. Es un sitio que hay que visitar para ver Nueva York desde varios ángulos. El ascensor es una maravilla. Subes 102 pisos sin que te des cuenta por lo atractivo que lo hicieron para el turista y cuando llegas la gran sorpresa maravillosa la vista, la vista que no dejas de maravillarte con tan espectacular obra de arquitectura, hay un bar donde te puedes tomar un prosseco y venden unos sándwiches espectaculares. La pase genial con mi bella familia. Lo recomiendo ampliamente cuando estén en NY

Si vous devez choisir un observatoire sur les trois plus importants que propose New York (Empire, top of the rock et celui là) eh bien je vous dirais… de faire les trois !
Alors que le TOR permet une vue à partir de midtown donc très proche des autres buildings, ainsi que de central park, ainsi qu’une partie «outdoor» pour s’imprégner des sons de la ville, One World Observatory est différent.
La tour, downtown, surplombe les deux bassins à la mémoiré du 11 septembre, nous rappelant à quel point on est proche de leur ancien emplacement. Elle est la plus haute de New York et on le sent, quand on monte dans l’ascenseur supersonique et quand on regarde à quel point on est loin au dessus de tous les buildings aux alentours. La vue panoramique (uniquement vitrée malheureusement) permet d’admirer Brooklyn, l’Atlantique, les rivières, le new Jersey et bien sûr la star Manhattan qui s’étend à vos pieds.
D’abord les quartiers bas, les villages, Soho, Chelsea, tribeca, puis ça monte, midtown, on entrevoit timesquare, on voit l’empire qui se détache clairement des autres, ainsi que le chrysler qui semble tout petit.
Toute la dramatisation un peu «forcée» (film dans l’ascenseur, à l’arrivée, interventions des guides qui proposent des iPad en se gardant de dire que c’est 15 $) est un peu lourde mais il faut bien admettre que l’animation dans l’ascenseur qui montre New York en construction au fil des siècles est bien chouette ainsi que l’après film sur l’écran à l’arrivée qui vous réservera une impressionnante surprise.
Je crois que l’étoile en moins traduit vraiment ma déception de n’avoir pas pu être en extérieur !

Se que soy una ortiva total por tirarle un normal, pero comparado con otras vistas como la del Rockefeller o el Empire State, este lugar no tiene mucho mas que ofrecer.
Sinceramente no conocí la vista que tenian las torres gemelas, pero supongo que era algo parecido. La vista desde el One World es increible, sobretodo porque es 360º y hay unas vistas divinas del Hudson y de Brooklyn. Entonces porque soy tan densa que le doy solo 3 estrellitas?
Porque para mi lo más hermoso de Manhattan esta en el Midtown, no en Distrito Financiero, y el Central Park y los demás emblemas de esta hermosa ciudad se aprecian mucho mejor desde el Rockefeller, por ejemplo.
La entrada sale U$S 35 y lo que más me gusto fue el ascensor, si, perdón por la decepción jaja el ascensor y una pequeña introducción que te hacen antes de subir a ver la vista son muy lindos! Si tengo que elegir, vuelvo a alguno de los edificios que mencione anteriormente, que además son parcialmente descubiertos! Este es completamente cerrado, ufa!

Tuve la suerte de estar en Nueva york el fin de semana que inauguró el observatorio de la One World y aprovechamos para conocerlo.
Simplemente genial! ya habíamos estado en los miradopres del Rockefeller Center y del Empire State y este nuevo te da una perspectiva muy distinta de Nueva York.
Después de acceder al edificio bajas una escalera mecánica donde está el lobby, en el que se ve un mapa de todo el mundo que va tirando datos sobre los visitantes y un contador de las personas que van entrando al sitio (nosotros estuvimos entre las primeras 12 000).
Ahí te metes en las entrañas (?) del edificio, donde hay carteles que te explican cómo es el suelo en la isla de Manhattan. Despues de caminar por un pasillo de paredes símil piedra llegas a los ascensores que merecerían una reseña aparte. Subís 102 pisos en un minuto! en las paredes el piso y el techo vas viendo un video que ya te empieza a dar una idea de que es lo que te espera al llegar arriba.
Cuando llegás arriba, hay una breve y ESPECTACULAR introducción en video que te deja diciendo WOOOOWW!!!
El mirador en si es un espacio vidriado circular dónde podés caminar disfrutando de la vista única que te da al estar en la parte sur de la isla. Se ven perfectamente Manhattan, Brooklyn, y Nueva Jersey y a lo lejos Queens y el Bronx. Con la Estatua de la Libertad ahí nomas.
Es muy loco que podés ver a los helicópteros sobrevolando la ciudad más bajo de lo que estás vos.
En los puntos Norte y Sur hay personal que habla sobre Nueva York acompañado por unas pantallas interactivas de gran definición.
Una contra es que los vidrios del mirador son muy gruesos y no dejan sacar muy buenas fotos.
Cuando te cansaste de sacarte fotos y de señalar todo diciendo «Ah! mirá, allá está esto, ahí está aquello» y después de pasar por el shop (infaltable en todas las atracciones de EEUU) entras al ascensor que te devuelve al nivel del suelo y que, como los videos te vuelve a dejar manija, con ganas de volver a subir y sentir esa la sensación de estar volando.

Amazing view. Cela va devenir un must do a NYC. La vue est à couper le soufflé rien a voir avec le TOR et l’empire state building que j’ai déjà fait lors de précédent voyage. Seul petit bémol 40 minutes de retard dans l’organisation j’ai loupé le coucher de soleil mais bon c’était le premier jour
