OMG this place is a godsend! back in 2014 i was a struggling actor barely getting buy with my generic waiter job in a restaurant, when i suddenly stumbled upon this site and quickly made an account… with 2 business days i received a call from their establishment
asking ME! to come in for an interview, they gave us this shpeel about 2 of their success stories, then they took photos of me with this awesome moderately prices cameras, i gave an interview with this Abercrombie looking reject and guess what. he liked me!, i came back the next day for my 2^nd interview and happily gave them a blank check for all the headshot expenses they needed. fast forward to a year later i am a huge hollywood actor, i’ve starred in such awesome movies as «Nightcrawler». «Titanic», «Star Wars», «The Avengers», «Spider-​man» 1 and 2, 50 Shades of Grey”, «The Artist». «The Wolf Of Wallstreet» just to name a few. Life is great, i have a huge mansion in beverly hills, my neighbors consists of sandra bullock, justin bieber, and jake gyllenhaal. Thanks one source talent agency!
.but seriously, i went there, listened to them speak for about 1 hour, did an interview, got a callback for a second interview, then BAM! «give me $ 500!!!» …needless to say i left $ 5 poorer that day from taking the train.

totally a scam. I am an established actor with lead roles in movies and TV. I have been on Broadway and I am also a recognized singer signed with a label. I have been in Vogue, Cosmo, and many other magazines and I have also modeled for GQ and Macys catalogs. They have the nerve to want me to pay for «headshots». This is a total scam. take my advice as a successful entertainer.

It is sad to know that a place with so many bad reviews and an agency known by so many people, is still open. Scanning more and more naïve people every day. Please close down and stop sending me emails! I am not interested. I rather spend $ 400 on a really good headshot by a really great photographer than on this «talent agency».

STEER CLEAR! THEY DID THE BAIT AND SWITCH ON ME!
They tell you one price to get you in. $ 500 one time fee and 39.95 monthly. I asked her «Tina”(Indian looking girl) repeatedly if this included a photo shoot… «mmmhhmmm» is what she said. I paid it and she scheduled me for another appointment which I asked continuosly is that the appointment for the photo-​shoot? she said «yes mmmhhhmmm, everything will be explained to you when you arrive. Two weeks later I arrived with a suit case with clothes and all, only for the front desk person to tell me there is no photo shoot in that location and my representative would not be in until 12:00pm on a Saturday. I was very disappointed. I knew what it was. Thank goodness I have American Express which will mostly likely side with me when I dispute the charge for being mislead.
I am not saying this company is not real and I am not saying they are but they do lie and perform the bait and switch !

I received a phone call from this company a while ago completely by surprise. They told me that they had seen my profile on LinkedIn (which does have my phone number so I figured that made some sense) and were interested in me coming in for an interview to become a model. I’m a dancer so I thought it was somewhat of a good idea to do this.
They asked me to come in the next day for the interview and it was the only day off I had for a while, so I decided to say sure. I didn’t end up going because it was just irritating to catch a train to the city that day. I called them to cancel and they were annoyed with me but asked to reschedule to the next day. I declined because they then went on to explain that my mother would need to come with me. I’m 20 years old. Clearly, they just wanted mom’s checkbook to come with me.
From then, they called me multiple times a day for about two-​three weeks leaving voicemails… clearly very desperate for me to be a client. I finally responded and asked that they stop calling me because I was no longer interested. At this point, I had read the reviews on this company was appalled by them.
This was about 6 months ago. Since then, I have received 8 emails, each of which saying the exact same thing from someone named Olivia Young. It explains that they «received the application I submitted and we’re interested in moving onto the next step». I never sent an application. They called me. It also lists the appointment times that are available within the next few days and asks that I pick one. I have responded every single time, asking that they do not email me anymore. They have never answered me, however. After around the fourth, I started to tell them if that they continued to email me, I would find everywhere to write negative reviews on them. I received yet another five minutes ago and have finally decided to write my review after emailing back in all caps requesting that they do not email me again.

I’m kinda pissed right now. I went through the process with One Source Talent. I had an initial interview yesterday and was called back to meet with them again today.
Here is a fast-​forward, short version of the process I went through.
Day 1 there was a presentation, they took some point and shoot photos – for their files I was told’ – there was a short meeting of only a minute or two, and I was done.
Day 2 After a talk, the person I met with took some shots of me with a cheap point and shoot she didn’t even know how to operate, and I did a reading – so there was a screen test. I’ve never had anyone take a photo of me at an audition before, so this was already suspicious, and it was the shortest reading in the history of auditions.
For those of you who don’t know, a typical audition for a film, there are two or three people and a camera. You hand them your resume and headshot, then act out a scene and role they chose for you. They might ask you to do it a few different times, a few different ways, to see if you can follow direction.
Then she went to talk to someone else about whether they want to move forward with me or not.
She came back, said congratulations, that they can start sending me off for auditions and gigs next week.
But then she puts a paper in front of me she wants me to initial each item on and sign at the bottom, agreeing to sign up with their agency. The only problem is, I did contracts for a living for several years, and I read it.
It said I agree to let them take photos of me and use them for marketing purposes, they would create an actors resume, a headshot, and a card for modeling gigs as well. .. for $ 495. In addition, I would agree to pay $ 38.95 monthly for them to maintain my actor website, and I would be locked in for a certain period. And there was a non-​disclosure clause which would have prevented me from, for example, writing this review.
So I asked, suddenly going into Wall Street mode, «When would all this money be due?»
«Today.»
“That’s absurd,” I said.
So then she starts like she’s selling me a time share. She tells me that if I don’t pay it today I can’t interview again for this ‘opportunity’ for two years. Why the two years? Why not just say, ‘come back when you’re ready with the money’? She really wanted me to sign and pay up right there and then. Then she says she’s going to leave the room and give me a few minutes to think about it.
Of course at this point I’m feeling pretty angry that I wasted subway fare coming here two days in a row. So instead of leaving right then, I decided to wait until she came back.
I told her that for $ 500 I can take my pick of headshot photographers instead of whoever they happen to have (or, as a photographer, I may even make my own shots until I can find a carefully selected pro I’m willing to spend between $ 250 and $ 1,000 on), and I can create my own webpage for free or at least less than they’re charging. And then I asked, «Why would I, an actor living in New York City, agree to this? What service are you providing that I can’t find virtually anywhere in New York City without being locked into an agreement which solely advantages you?» And I left.
What a scam. It cost me $ 10 in subway fare, going out in the broiling heat, to get scammed.
I should have seen them for what they are yesterday.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE AND DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE.
Check out several headshot photographers who know the standards for your industry and market – even if you’re an absolute beginner. They all offer various packages ranging from about $ 250 to $ 1000 typically based on how much work you want them to do – different outfits and settings, hair and makeup, do you need them for a whole day, and how much ‘retouching’ are you willing to pay for. These are the same photographers who work with theater, television, and movie stars.
Any decent headshot (or fashion) photographer is going to work with you. These aren’t just portrait photographers. They don’t just take your photo and send it to you in the mail.
As a photographer myself, that set off the alarm more than anything, that they wanted me to pay them $ 495 for whatever photography services they might have. In fact, I think the deal was that they were going to take the shots that evening.
This is a scam. It cost nothing to go through their process, unless you’re dumb enough to sign their contract and pay them. Just * Don’t * Do It.

Hello All,
I was asked by a talent agent about my 18 year old daughter when we were on vacation in New York City, I was a little skeptical at first and as we started to talk to the guy trying to recruit my daughter I just became more comfortable and he convinced us to go and check them out.
We ended up going through there process and signing her up to there site, they had a photographer they use do pictures of her and it was a great thing because my daughter starting getting calls in like 4 – 5 days and they were not just Mickey Mouse jobs either. She is beautiful so that helps but there are so many opportunities that we didn’t know about that we were exposed to after meeting with one source Talent.
I would recommend this as a starting point for any talent carreer, they were very professional and really helped in the in’s and outs of the industry they are very experienced and it was great to have them do this for us.

I was visiting my sister when I did a google search and found one source talent. If it wasn’t such a far drive for me to go for a interview it wouldn’t have been so bad. I liked what OST had to offer but the drive from PA to NY was a way longer than I expected. I was greeted at the door by the really good looking receptionist. They took down my basic information and after seeing the open call I was invited back for a 2^nd interview. Let’s see how it goes…
I will post an update when I find out if I am accepted.

I wish there was negative stars to give! I booked an appointment a few days ago but after checking them out on here I decided to cancel and not reschedule. I ended up speaking to a guy and telling him to please cancel my appointment and I would not be rescheduling. I then asked him to take me out of their system because I was not interested in receiving any further invitations and calls to go to their office for any future appointments… I also asked him how was it that they got my number because I had not applied to anything in many months and I was very confused by the random phonecall? He told me that there is no way we randomly get peoples information and someone had to have applied at some point (in a very rude tone). He continued to rant on about how its not like we have your social number and hunted you down, you must have done it and dont remember… I was very quiet and waited until he was done ranting, my thought was ok when he’s done throwing a fit I will ask him if I am now completely out of their system in a polite fashion, which I was polite from the beginning anyway… dont you know he just hung up on me! lmfao, I was like wow was i the straw that broke the camels back? Did this a-​hole have tons of cancellations and I was the one that put him over the edge? So I called back and spoke to a girl about what happened, she apologized for him but it does not excuse his behavior. I told her that he was so unprofessional and I cancelled my appointment because I read reviews on Unilocal and it is not the type of company I need to be working with… he proved me right! I told her that they needed to have some big meeting with everyone to get themselves together because this is not how you get clients! If anyone is smart they will research a company to know what they are getting and I was happy I did not go in for my appointment, it would have been a waste of time and money, which by the way they get you to go in by telling you that you will not need to pay for anything but in the longrun of course you will!

I wish I saw these views or even knew of Unilocal when I was 16. Huge waste of money. Didn’t get any jobs, but they tried to push me further to pay more money for different features. I guess it’s good that they are still in «business». Bc if they weren’t they’d probably open up a new place under a new name and be scamming even more people.

Good I read the reviews before letting the rude girl taking any pictures to my daughter.
They call and lie saying that they have the photo of my daughter in their file and they want to see her.
When I got there, this RUDE girl says let me take her a photo. I said NO, and asked her to first tell me how much is going to cost? and Why she did not say she needs photos?
She than replied: Well mom what DO YOU THINK YOU COME FOR AN AUDITION AND YOU DO NOT PAY FOR PHOTOS? «
I asked her to show me the photos she has on file. She than replied she does not have them.
I asked her where is the exit and SUPRISE the exit was right next to the elevator, so I do not get to meet the other poor people who were waiting to meet the CROOKS AND LIARS.

first i must start by saying how disappointed my daughter and I were. I received a call back about the picture they received of my daughter. So they set up an interview saying darlene would be the person I met with. Ok great so i took a day off of work because this is my daughters dream. Who doesnt want to help their child with their dreams.
Ok so we get there we fill out an application then about 30 minutes later The lady Darlene came in and spoke to everyone in a group. She spoke so fast it was like this was something she rehearesed everyday. So they tell us we will be taking pictures and evaulating everyone and you will know if you are asked to come back.
Ok my daughter took the pictures and they «loved her». So the lady Michelle said we would need her to come back tomorrow before 3pm. Ok school has just started and to have to miss school wasnt going to happen. So I called and told them I couldnt get her out of school because they would mark her absent. They say well «today is the last day for kid auditions» my response was ok I guess I will try another agency.
Half an hour later I receive a call asking what day would be convient for me. I said Monday works fine we are off that day (no school no work).
Monday afternoon, we get there they snap more pictures of here and say we have to see if Darlene is still interested. So half an hour later the lady comes back with a contract in hand stating i need to sign here, here here and how would i like to pay??? I say pay? no one mentioned anything about paying anything today. She says but I told you this was the final interview. i never expected to pay right then and there so I ask ok how much is it. She tells me $ 544 plus $ 39.99 on the spot.
I say this is ridicolus I have a photographer who can take her pictures she says I have to use theirs. Long story short me and my daughter went to another agaency and she was accepted and it only cost me $ 150 thats with a digital cd as well as her comp card. One source talent are a bunch of crooks. I will expose them to they are no longer in business. Its a shame how people try to abuse up and coming actors/​models. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS

I was there this weekend with my daughter who was very excited to become a model. After the 2^nd addition they were very pleased with her and wanted to «sign» her, but there was a catch. They wanted $ 600.00 ($ 150 starting fee, $ 40 monthly fee and $ 400 for professional pictures). I was not told I had to pay this large mount let alone that it had to be paid in full at that very moment. I asked for a week extension for the professional pictures and the person who was interviewing us said flat out no.
After going back and forth he gave me until Wednesday which really didn’t help. I apologies and told him that I wasn’t able to do it at this time and he caught an attitude and became very rude. I was surprise to see his change; he went from being a very nice and sweet person to a total jerk.
If I would had known that I needed to have $ 600 I would had rescheduled for 2 weeks and not had wasted mine or their time but after seeing how nasty the people there can be I’m actually glad I didn’t make a BIG mistake.
Bottom line is if you are planning to go to this agency be ready to spend at least $ 600.00.

They claim to submit you to castings and such and take NO percentage, however they charge $ 495 membership fee and $ 39.95 monthly. I only feel sorry for the naïve people, be it aspiring actors (especially PARENTS who are trying to get their kids in the ‘biz’ as they claim to ‘represent’ all types and ages) or models.
Upon arriving you will be given a form to fill out and told to wait in a room filled with about 50 other naïve actors/​models (but most noticeably PARENTS with their kids) that are desperately seeking their big break. After which you are called to come into a room and have a polaroid taken.
As you are sent back to the waiting room, a representative will enter and give their presentation. This is where it gets REALLY fishy. In the roughly 30 minute lecture, this guy practically convinces you that to make it in the modeling and acting business you must be willing to try ANYTHING, and by anything he means GIVE UP YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! He will show you pictures of actors who’s careers they supposedly helped launch. He speaks so fast and convincingly that you barely hear him when he delivers the throwaway line «for $ 495 plus $ 39.95 a month» While I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, I can honestly tell you there are LEGIT agencies (especially in new York city) that can help launch your career WITHOUT charging you almost a grand for a year of ‘representation’
