On Time Cleaner

Extremely hard to communicate especially when it comes to discussing tailoring needs, the owner is rude, unprofessional and unfriendly. Save yourself the hassle as there are plenty of good places in the neighborhood. I would not even give them one star but there is no option for that.

What would I do without this place?
First of all, I am always in dire need of getting my clothes done and washed last minute, (being that my work requires me to dress professionally) and this place shamelessly gets my stuff done the next day, if not on the same day I bring it in. This place is my go-​to for my dry cleaning. It’s pretty big and up-​scale compared to the local ones in the neighborhood. (I’ve tried out the local ones b/​c I live in the neighborhood)
I get my tailoring for my dress/​suits/​pants and the gentlemen in the front literally gets stuff tailored just the way I want it and it is ON POINT. You may want to go earlier in the day to catch him, once i went to see him a little before closing time and he wasn’t available.
They also get rid of the toughest stains.
I think my dry cleaning and my wash and folds have been pretty decent too.

Definitely try this place out if you’re looking for dry cleaning services.

Dry cleaning is safe, but beware when you drop off laundry, and them to add insult to injury, they shake their heads and take zero
Responsibility when you tell them a nice T

I have just returned with 5 hang dry items
(which I paid for) that all smell strongly
Of mildew! (and it’s a CLEANERS)
Game over.

I’ve been going to this dry cleaner for three years and I think it is finally time to move on. They do a decent job with the clothes (quality has gone downhill over the years). They prices are also fairly steep.
Their BIGGEST problem, though, is their customer service. I always let them choose the pickup date; however, this morning I asked if I could have a few shirts dry cleaned and ready same day. The young man I dealt with rolled his eyes and said «wow.» So much for loyalty. Furthermore, this same gentleman insists on slowly unbuttoning every shirt and unrolling every sleeve in front of me when I drop off my dry cleaning in the morning on the way to work. This may sound petty, but every minute in the morning is important and I don’t want to waste extra minutes at the dry cleaner.
I am tired of their poor customer service and will not be back.

Like this place — can count on them to remove the toughest stains. I would say there are a couple of downfalls –one is that their prices are not competitive — they are more pricey than the others. And given the location, there are tons of dry cleaners in this area with more opening up that offer the same advantages. At least build some kind of loyalty program for existing customers or even some seasonal discounts. (Will never find a coupon for this place in your inbox/​mail).
The other downfall is the hours. It closes way too early (7pm) especially when trying to rush after work to drop off or pick up. Other dry cleaners stay open a lot later.

Do not use them for wash and fold. I didn’t try their other services so this is only based on te wash and fold.
I just moved to the area and it was the first place I tried because they come pick up in my building every morning. The clothes come back with wrinkles like you’ve never seen. The clothes, even t shirts are unwearable. I honestly don’t think that I could get more wrinkles in clothes if I tried. I went three times, twice the clothes were this super crazy wrinkled, one time only crazy wrinkled. Additionally, they don’t match socks.
I’ve used about 4 other cleaners in other areas of manhattan and they were all much better.

Ever since I moved jobs and didn’t have to drive to NJ during the week, I had to find a new everything… new bagel place with sun dried tomato cream cheese, new dry cleaners, new self esteem, new life, etc. Popping my NYC dry cleaning experience here made me miss my old one SO much.
First off the pricing isn’t too horrendous but more expensive than NJ or outside of Manhattan — dropped off 5 dress pants and a blazer and it came out to ~$ 40. Also, had 3 jeans hemmed and those were $ 15 or $ 20 per item depending on if you wanted to keep the original bottom stitching or not.
I was willing to pay premium pricing if they did a good job but they didn’t on my dress pants AND blazer:
1) They ripped off one of the clasps on my dress pants. Thankfully, there’s a button next to it so I don’t walk around flashing innocent people.
2) There were little white particles all over my dark dress pants which I’m assuming is dry cleaning solvent.
3) The big stain on my blazer didn’t come out.
4) This one is just for shits and giggles but they kept spelling my name wrong and after the 3^rd time I thought they got it right but when I looked at the ticket it said Jaen. It’s JEN! #@!#$@#
The silver lining in this is that the jeans came out hemmed evenly. They’re too inconsistent to keep my business and I’ve left my flashing days behind me.

Tailoring: I have a bad habit of waiting to the last minute to get dresses hemmed for special events. They have always managed to give me a 24hr turnaround time after shameless pleading, don’t charge me extra for it, and do a fantastic job. There is an older Asian gentleman who has done all 3 of my dresses (silk, with linings) and the work is phenomenal (doesn’t run, doesn’t pull, looks just like the original hem). I think it’s about 35 dollars.
Dry Cleaning: They are GOOD. We’re doctors, so our clothes are stained with anything from blood to vomit and they can actually get it out of white coats (first cleaners to do so, and I’ve tried many before them).
I considered taking a star away because they’re mad expensive (compared to non-​NYC prices), but considering I’ve had to take unsuccessfully cleaned clothes to other dry cleaners from only slightly less expensive places and ended up paying almost double, they’re more than worth the money. And it’s midtown NYC. Everything is mad expensive. At least they do it right (and on time!).

This place does a great job and is very fast. Same day delivery without even asking (I just said «whenever»).
Deducted a star only because it is a little pricey.

After getting lip gloss, deodorant, and olive oil on my new silk top, I thought, «there’s nothing a little dish soap and water can’t get out.» Needless to say, I ended up with four different types of stains. Then, I threw it in my closet and forgot about it for 3 months.
Enter On Time Cleaner. I hand over my delicate silk top, with set-​in stains of all varieties. My hopes of saving this shirt were almost non-​existent.
Two days later, I pick up my things. All hail the gods of dry cleaning, because the top was SPOTLESS.
Minus one star because it’s expensive, but still cheaper than buying new clothes.

4.5, rounded down because it costs mad-​dollars.
I’ve gotten three garments hemmed here: a pair of thick wintery legging-​pants (which are now ankle grazers), a vintage seersucker skirt with lining, and a beautiful dress that I wore as a bridesmaid and had shortened to party-​length.
The people here are professional, fast, and friendly. It costs $ 8 – 10 more than I really like paying, but I’ll cut them some slack because it’s super convenient and every time I’ve dropped by early, my garments are already done and ready to go.

My boyfriend has sent me there for some of his clothes to be dry clean and everything came out as it should and … of course on time.

When I lived in the neighborhood, I went to them all the time. There wasn’t a stain they couldn’t remove. They also did small mending jobs (replace buttons, repair seams). They were always very nice and «on time». Prices were very good too. I wished they delivered to the UES.
