History

Established in 2012.

After working in the some of the best studios around the world we decided to come to NY in 2010 to establish NYCREC as an Audio Music business where clients get the best possible service in Music Production and Sound Mixing.

Meet the Business Owner

John W.

Business Owner

John Wallace started in the Music and Audio industries back in 2001 in London UK, where he graduated from Music Technology with a First Class degree and got a full grant to do a Masters in Audio Technology in 2005. Back then he was involved in Music recordings at Ealing studios producing and mixing indie bands like The Subways and Klektivo. In 2006 I worked with Alex Da Kid, former classmate (producer of Rihanna Eminem, Imagine Dragons) beatmaking for several commercials that were broadcasted in Europe .

On the side he developed a passion for Audio in the film industry and worked in several projects as a Sound Mixer doing his first feature film in 2007 in NYC in the 32 times awarded ‘Crimson Mask’. He then move to NY and started doing production sound and post mixing for Viacom (MTV & Nickelodeon) and NBCUniversal at Oxygen, in TV programs like Rebel Music and Sisterhood of Hiphop. John was also involved in several commercials for MTV, HP, Walmart and Target in between others.
