Absolutely atrocious. From start to finish. First off, the sales guy who came to the apartment was pushy and annoyed that I didn’t want to spend $ 300 to get my $ 400 area rug clean. A real unpleasant experience to start with(fail for me for not bailing at this point). Secondly, on Monday when they picked up the rug, I am told it will be on Friday. I call on Friday, they say it won’t be ready until Monday. I call on Monday, they say it won’t be done until Wednesday. I call on Wednesday and schedule a time for delivery. They call back and said they«messed up, but can deliver it on Thursday between 9−11am.» I call on Thursday at 11am — why hasn’t it been delivered? The driver is in traffic. Great, thanks for letting me know. After another debacle(driver leaves rug with doorman and neglects to collect payment), I finally have the rug back in my apartment. I unroll it and am STILL willing to forgive this wretched experience if the cleaning job is pristine and… the rug STILL smells like dogs — which is why I sent it off to have it cleaned in the first place. Absolutely foul, as if they hadn’t even touched it. It was supposed to be shampooed, deep cleaned and sanitized. I suspect they *may* have sprayed it with generic Febreeze. And rolled it back up, waited 10 days, and then delivered it back to me. I call the office(whose 800 number had been disconnected) and go ballistic about the entire experience and service. I threaten to write a review — and at that point, the guy insisted that I let them take the rug again and re-clean it. Fine, come take it, because it’s smelling up my apartment. They pick it back up, and five days later, drop it off again. I unroll it and — it’s perfectly clean, smells great and was what I paid for. Nice job. Now, why I had to go through all this aggravation to get to this point is beyond me. This is, by far, the longest review I’ve ever written. It was also the most infuriating experience I’ve ever had with a vendor and, despite *finally*(after fighting) receiving the service I paid for, I would not wish anyone else this aggravation.

I guess the nyc equivalent of being a home owner is moving to a new apartment, costastrophe wise. Got a coupon in our mail box, called these guys for the 49.95 deal, arranged for a free estimate, they had to come later so I wasn’t home and boom, $ 216 for 2 area rugs with a 2 inch coating of cat hair. Cash hurts. cash makes you cry. I am always going to lock locksmiths and etc down to a price beforehand. Selethics have come into play.
