Nicolle Underwood MD

I have never taken the time to review anything or anyone on Unilocal.But my experience with this medical practice has been so appalling I felt compelled to post here. While I agree with the comments that Nicolle Underwood is charming and puts people at ease — her responsiveness to patients and returning messages is completely appalling. I have been going back and forth with this practice for more than a WEEK to try and get Dr Underwood to call in an additional prescription for a drug I was already on (hormone replacement). It took her more than 5 days to even get back to me then she was unclear in her message and now I am starting all over again working through an office staff that is either unwilling or unable to help. Now it is Friday (again, after a week of this) and Dr Underwood is out again until Tuesday and I am going on week two for a basic call-​in of a prescription. So I have to wait until Tuesday to start YET AGAIN trying to get 5 mins on the phone and I am dealing with symptoms that are disruptive to my work and daily life. I have been going to this practice for several years and was seeing another doctor (Simonsson) and switched to Dr Underwood because I always felt Dr Simonsson was going through the motions, rushed and several times I received prescription refills that were the wrong dose! Now after a good first experience with Dr Underwood I am dealing with this. Stay away — this practice is a factory and are clearly too overwhelmed and stressed to care anything about true patient care (or even just returning messages in a timely manner).

Dr Underwood was great. Her charm and smile puts you at ease immediately in spite of the under welcoming receptionist. She was thorough during my annual and very personable. I didnt feel like felt like she was rushed and addressed all of my GYN needs. No waiting and quick turnaround. Thank you, now on with my day.
I’ve had a lot of experiences with doctors and if I could make one recommendation; she would be the ideal doctor for teenagers or women with trepidations about going for their annual. Highly recommend.

Dr Underwood seems great, but her records ppl are a nightmare to deal with. I was requesting my results to be faxed to my doctor for over a week. Not sure if it was the same person I kept talking to, but that girl had some attitude and was simply rude over the phone. I would not go back there just because I do not want to deal with her rude records staff.

Dr. Nicole Underwood is the best GYN I’ve ever been to. So good in fact I might actually pay out of pocket to see her after my insurance terminates, which is really saying something. She’s got an incredible bed side manner, is super gentle and kind, never rushes you, returns your phone calls promptly, answers however many questions you may have, and laughs at your stupid jokes (I have a thing about cracking jokes with whoever is taking care of my vagina, she indulges me).

Dr. Underwood was a great choice! She takes my insurance so I went to her for my annual visit. She took her time, asked me questions and really got to know me. Most doctors I find rush and do not give you chances to ask questions or take the time to know you.
Definitely will be sticking with Dr. Underwood =)
