NYLC is a certified English language school by the NY State Education Department and is nationally accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) Learn English at all levels and times. International students (I-​20/​F1 visa) are welcome. We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced course levels of English as a Second Language and also special advanced classes for TOEFL preparation and Business English. History

Established in 1985.

Over the past 25 years, thousands of students from over 75 countries have learned English at New York Language Center. So strong is our reputation that word-​of-​mouth is our most effective advertisement. Most of our students learn about NYLC from alumni who have had positive experiences at our school.

We have developed our own teaching materials with you, the student, in mind. Unlike other English programs, we provide you with all books and materials at no additional charge.

Business Owner

Barbara, the Executive Director began New York Language Center in 1986. She holds a B. A, and an M. A in TESOL from Hunter College and has been working in the field of education for 30 years. Barbara is committed to ensure that students who study at New York Language Center receive the best possible classes and services. Barbara attends professional conferences here and overseas to ensure that New York Language Center keeps current with the lastest materials and methodologies in the field.
