Great place for manicure and pedicure. Reasonable prices for the area and they have a discount for FIT student. The staff is very nice and have all what one need for a quick mani pedi.

Tried this place today and the manicure was decent but I’m still pretty annoyed at the whole experience. My nails are still kind of weak from growing out damage. I had permanent french all summer and just took it off a month ago. I finally got them back to a shape that I like, so I decided to get a manicure.
I asked her to NOT file the sides at all because it breaks my nails. She wound up doing it 3 – 4 times. Then she knocked my cell phone on the floor, saw me watching her as she wiped it and didn’t apologize. Lastly, I asked for quick dry AT THE BEGINNING OF THE APPOINTMENT and I don’t know what they put on my nails but I’m pretty sure they swindled me for another dollar.
She had finished my manicure and set me to dry. When the dryer finished I walked over and asked for the quick dry. In my experience they put it on while you dry or just at the end. So I asked her for the QD and she says okay, one dollar. I hand her a dollar, and then she tells me good bye. I looked at her and said «uhhh you didn’t do anything?». To which she replied «oh we used quick dry top coat», then she quickly showed me some bottle from another station that she apparently used on me. Didn’t you already charge me for that? It’s only a dollar but it seems grimy.

The worst. Paid $ 72 total for an acrylic set that won’t stay on my nails. I had to go back 3 times to get them to reattach the nail. They refused to refund me blamed it on my nails being white? Lol DON’T DO IT

Nail salons in NYC are a dime a dozen. They all basically look the same, offer the same products and generally charge the same amounts. After visiting many of them over the years, this one is really a stand-​out.
I had my second visit here yesterday as I had a few hours to kill before taking a train from Penn Station. This time, just as the first, I was taken right away. I was treated well and given great service. The ladies who work here are so kind and accommodating… And unlike a number of other salons I’ve gone to, the atmosphere was quiet and calming.
I would certainly recommend and revisit.

I have been coming to this location for over 7 years there has been three different sets of management, at least, all of them are wonderful in their own way currently the owner is Nicole she’s amazing friendly funny she’s very skilled and she takes her time. I always get a gel manicure and pedicure if I’m lucky she does both and it comes out absolutely perfect. I will never go anywhere else. They now have great FIT discounts!!!

Not a fan. This place is right next door to my hair salon, so out of convenience I’ve found myself here a couple of times after getting my hair cut. This place is narrow and cramped, it’s almost an obstacle course getting into your seat or climbing into the pedi chair. My most recent pedicure was so rushed and half-​assed it was borderline ridiculous. It took less than 10 minutes from beginning to end. My cuticles barely looked touched, and the foot pumice barely grazed my foot. And by the way, the pumice itself and the rest of the tools looked pretty dingy. No UV light sanitizer thing in sight. The nail polish is a pretty color but she did such a rushed job that the polish pooled at each cuticle, which only means that it probably won’t last more than a week before chipping. She also cut my toenails shorter than I requested. Not sure how «trim them just a tiny bit» was understood as «cut away all the length». Wasn’t a language barrier either, because she spoke pretty decent English when she explained to me that if I wanted to pay with my credit card the price would be higher than if I were to pay with cash. Eh. It was cheap though, so you get what you pay for.

This place is trash. Do not go here.
I had a gel manicure that started peeling two days after I had it done.
They give you a separate person to do your manicure from pedicure so you have to tip twice.
Waste of money. Seriously do not go.

Eh it’s alright but what do you expect from these places? I have been going to Nail Sail on 8 which was about the same in terms of quality but last time they put polish on so thin that I decided to try this place. It is much smaller than Nail Sail and a bit dingier but they had a $ 20 mani and 10 minute special which I wanted to try. Eh I expected the massage was weak and unbalanced. However the mani was ok– I chose a thick, black polish which does look nice (a little
Thick) but that’s credit more to the polish than the technician. She was fine but a wee careless when cutting cuticles and now I am a bit swollen on those fingers. Well see how long the polish lasts before being chipped. This place is a little cheaper than Nail sail but all in all these budget nail places are all the same to me. And it depends on which person you get. One of the girls seemed rather unfriendly to me here.
Will see what else is around the hood — I can see how you would come here if an Fit student as they give you a discount.

A disaster would be an understatement!
I have gone there many times out of sheer laziness, since it is closest to my house, but NEVER AGAIN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
The chairs are virtually on top of each other, and getting in and out has always been difficult. The manicures and pedicures have just been fair, and in the past, 2 different women have given me manicures and pedicures. I foolishly went there out of sheer convenience.
This time the «sheer convenience» was a total disaster!
This was first time that this woman, Jenny, had ever taken care of me. She scrubbed my feet with a harsh scrub brush and ripped the skin on the top of my right foot to shreds when she was supposed to be scrubbing off the dead skin on the BOTTOM of my feet.
WHY WAS SHE EVEN SCRUBBING THE TOP OF MY FOOT??? Needless to say, it bled like crazy and the stuff she put on to stop the bleeding stung… I felt like crying. My foot became so swollen and looked like I was in some kind of accident… couldn’t sleep from the throbbing. That was four days ago, and it is still swollen and painful and now oozing with pus.
I applied globs of bacitracin and a gauze bandage, and covered it with a sock until I could see the doctor the next day.
I have an infection and a huge ulcer.
The doctor bandaged my foot, prescribed antibiotics immediately, and a surgical shoe.
I must return to doctor in 2 days.
In my 30+ years of getting manicures and pedicures, nothing like this had EVER happened to me before.
I won’t EVER go back there, even if it is convenient, NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Cheap, but bring cash!
At better places, my manicure can last over a week. At this place, it chipped in a few days. There are also signs saying that you need to tip in cash. They accept credit cards, but there is a minimum. If you just need a basic mani for a day or two, then they’re fine.

I stopped by here last night hoping to get a good mani pedi to last me through the week. Meh-​not so much. I guess at Nails and More ya get what you pay for. She did about as good of a job as I could have done on my own-​bubbles in the polish and and polish on my skin. It was a waste of $ 20 I would rather pay another $ 15 and have something that looks and last a bit better.

I’m in a constant search for cheap pedicures in NYC. The thing is, I don’t understand the concept of paying someone $ 45 to do stuff to your feet for like, an hour. I just want to get in and get out. So if you’re like me and think of a pedicure as a quick, monthly errand, then go to Nails and More. You will get a good pedicure for $ 20. They do all the basics and have a nice nail color selection. The salon is small but clean, and the technicians do a good, quick job. I really appreciated the fact that they asked me if I wanted a leg massage (which I didn’t) for an extra $ 10 and an extra 10 minutes. So even if you don’t want a quick little pedicure, you have an option of not having one.
I’m pretty sure the «more» here is that they do waxing, yet I’m not sure where or with who. This place is really, really small, and I can’t imagine they have space in the back or something. So unless you don’t care about getting your eyebrows waxed while lying on top of a manicure table, I’d just stick to the «nails» part.
