I’ve gone to this place many times because it’s super close to my job.
They have a great deal for mani/​pedi Monday-​Thursday for $ 23, can’t beat that.
They also have those business cards that they stamp and after I think like 10 you get a free mani but I always lose mine :(lol They still will give me a new one and sign it but I never keep up with it.
Anyways, Annie is great she takes her time and is very meticulous.
Lunch hours can sometimes get busy so I tend to go early or later in the day.
They also offer gel manicures and massages. I say go for it!

Give the place two chances the first time they were amusing ! The other two just plain horrible ! They were in such a rush to finish you to get out that they do nothing ! The girl that was attending my pedicure had an attitude beyond this world like she was doing me a favor for paying to have a pedicure ! Next time if you don’t have time to give attention to new customers don’t take them to start with !

I couldn’t tell what kind of place this was going to be because I swear every single nail salon in Manhattan has 3 stars.
Was it expensive? Was it cheap? I coudln’t tell from all the reviews. But I ended up coming here and came out with a verdict. It’s cheap-​ish, but for what it is — it was EXPENSIVE. You might want to splurge a little more for a nicer salon, or go all the way to East village to find something decent for the prices they charge here.
I can’t say the place was teh most sanitary — I asked for a pedicure with callus removal. I felt like I was getting a pedicure from my aunt who hates me. she clipped all my nails off in one swift clip with a giant nail clipper and she filed down my nails so hard, she definitely took a lot of toe with her too. It was painful and I kept jerking back. Even with the callus removal she was ROUGH. I mean, I had pretty bad calluses but she would go hard on areas that were not roughed up!
In the end, i still had a lot of dead skin left on my feet — but my nails looked OK. It was like $ 27 without tip. So … whatever I guess. I don’t think I’ll come back here, but it wasn’t HORRIBLE. Just close to horrible.

This is my second time at this nail salon. They have a deal on weekdays (not sure about Fridays) Mani/​pedi for $ 23 (before taxes). Today I got a Mani/​pedi plus a 15 minute massage for $ 37 (after taxes). The price is amazing.
The person that did my nails was a guy, he was very professional and knew what he was doing. My nails look great! The massage was amazing. I have no complaints. I think this might be my new nail spot.

Annie was so sweet, she is one of the only nail ladies that I’ve ever had that actually tried to talk to me! Really clean, nice salon. Great prices. Quick but thorough service. My manicure stayed really well even after 7 days.

NAIL SAIL SPA ON 8. They charge you for gel nails. And you get your nails dipped into white powder with glue. NOT GEL. This link explains the difference between the 2.

My dear friends please be aware of nail shop scams here in NYC.
Please follow this link. I got my nails done and the nail technician dipped my nails into white powder then glue then dipped them again then continued to glue… This seems so weird to me, I was paying for gel nails. And I believe I got scammed. I did some research and this is what I found on yahoo.

Came in for a pedicure with a friend and they didn’t really do anything during the pedicure that I couldn’t of done myself. Cleanliness of the place is okay, but could be better. It was a very rushed job. If you have the option go somewhere else.

I absolutely love this place! In terms of the quality of their work, it is very very good! Price is also right — $ 27 for pedi! never fails. I would dare to say this is the most competent nail salon I ever visited in Manhattan. High quality work — strongly recommend this salon!

This is my favorite place to get my nails done near my office. They have great deals, especially for Monday-​Wednesday. Annie is my favorite. I usually also spring for 10 minute massage when getting my nails done — perfect «treat yourself» day.
The only reason they get four stars is there are one or two people here that are really bad, so it really depends on who you get. The youngest one is terrible — I paid extra for the chip free nailpolish that’s supposed to last 10 days and it chipped within an hour because she was SO rushed (even though it wasn’t crowded). It usually lasts for two weeks when others do it. I knew I should have asked to wait for someone else when I got her the second time… but I felt awkward. SO go here for great deals but just watch out if you get one of the younger/​newer nail techs.

Annie is amazing!!! She’s extremely pleasant and gives you exactly what you ask for!!! Why wouldn’t I go back!!!

Annie is an angel. She worked so long on my nails in order to make sure my tips were perfectly shaped and polished according to my specifications. Also, the salon itself was so clean, cleaner than most I’ve seen in all the places I’ve lived in my life. I will definitely be coming back regularly as long as I live in NYC. Thanks nails on 8, my mani pedi came out as a 10!

I just got the worst acrylic tips of my life. It’s bumpy and not smooth. She cut me and made me bleed and said I was sensitive! She used waaaaaaay too much nail polish and the shape is off too. Now I have to go home and strip the color and shape the nails myself.

Came here during a lunch break. Schedule the appointment 30 minutes before my appointment. And realized, i probably could have just walked it. But played it safe with work.
I went for the $ 25 Mani Pedi special.
It was … meh.
I’m a Jersey Girl and realize the nail treatment you can get for $ 20 is wayyyy different than in the city. Nonetheless, it was an extremely quick mani pedi. She sort of just passed her hands on my feet and hands versus actually massaging them. Lasted. give or take 34 seconds.
I mean, honestly i was a little desperate to go. I would have tipped way more if she didn’t like rush through it. My nails look cute, but i didn’t leave with the feeling of «Oh, yes. I just got a manicure and pedicure, girl.»
It was like I just stopped by.

This is definitely a place I like to get my nails done, but do not go to Ann she sits on the left side. I went on a Wednesday for a basic mani and pedi which is $ 23 but instead I got a basic pedicure and a gel manicure. for $ 45 which doesn’t make sense to me.
She did a great job on my nails, besides the fact that she cut me on my foot and my nails. She was very aggressive and then at the end of everything she expected a 20% tip. I didn’t give her 20%, but I gave her close enough so she got mad and stormed off speaking in Chinese. So RUDE!
I will be coming back, but not to her. I come back because my nails last a long time when they are done here and it’s worth the price in the long run.

While not the friendliest nail salon in town, they sure did do a bang up job for the price. And the place was surprisingly cleaner than I was anticipating.

Went in with long nice natural nails with Gel polish that needed to redone.
Walked out with my natural nails destroyed and cut as short as possible.
My nails were long, and in great shape. I need them re-​done. They needed to soak, to remove the polish, and be redone.
No one believed they were my actual real nails. «They are to long to be real»
Instead of soaking my nails, to remove the polish properly, they took a metro card to my nails to «peel off» my old polish. ANd with that, they peels off half my natural nails as well. and broke one down to the skin.
Had to cut off all my nice long natural nails, to as short as possible. And do shellack polish on them.
Yes, they are nails, and they will grow back.
But it’s frustrating that if they had done their job properly, I would still have long nice healthy nails.
Then they tried to charge me for «soaking to get my polish off»
The manager even told me she knew they messed up.
But it was totally unacceptable.

Definitely not the cleanest nail salon I’ve been to, and the workers seem to make a point of my saying a word to you. The prices are good (20 for a manipedi) and its very close to penn station which is great when you need to kill some time, but that’s probably the only thing I would recommend it for.

I see the mixed reviews on here but had good experience on Monday Labor Day… granted I had to wait a few minutes because they were short staffed but all in all not a bad deal. I did the gel manicure and regular pedicure for $ 45 — they run many other specials including the Mon-​Wed $ 20 deal. My tech was named Pink (or Ping?) and she was efficient, and pretty good. Could have be more careful with polishing the toes. Perhaps a little rushed but it’s ok-​quality wasn’t too compromised and who wants to be at the salon for hours on end.
My only other complaint is that for gel– their uv lamps are super hot. Good thing you’re not in there for long. Let’s see how long it lasts (apparently 2 – 3 weeks) … I got a light color too. Pink let me try a couple before I decided. Their selection for regular colors seemed standard and gel (not to be confused with shellac or UV) a little basic (which is fine by me).
The salon is actually quite large, and clean– the others on staff for the most part seemed nice and accommodating. I would recommend it if in the area.

Well I should firstly say that my experience was good, I’d maybe come back again. But my friend… well…
I brought my friend from out of town here because we really wanted mani pedis. We were seated next to each other and the whole time my friend’s technician was talking. First she noticed my purse, which isn’t fancy, it’s just a nice bag. Then she keeps talking on and on. My technician was really nice, giving me a real foot and leg massage, while my friends kind of slapped her legs and feet. It was really pathetic.
After our pedis, my technician grabbed my shoes and whatnot and led me over to the table, while my friend’s tech didn’t. She pretended to busy herself with setting up her station and didn’t help my friend out of the chair or anything. She just got up, walked away, came back, washed out the pedi thing then got to doing my friend’s gel manicure. I noticed this all go down, but I thought maybe it was just me, because my friend did not say anything, she was polite as could be.
We were both qouted prices (without tax) and they did add tax to mine, even though I paid cash, but whatever. My friend was qouted $ 45 and was charge $ 48 so she gave $ 50…yes a $ 2 tip. The tech told her that she usually gets a $ 7 – 8 tip when she does something like this. My friend said she understands that and she usually tips 20%, but she is basing it off of service. Ha!!! I’m not mad. She was really, really rude for no reason. I guess she was upset because everyone got loud after that. Then she cleaned up and left.
Her eyes were on the other customers coming in the whole time she was doing my friend’s nails, so I’m not sure what she was surprised about.

Great mani-​pedi + massage deal! Probably the best in the area.
The staff is super sweet… the place is kept very clean… and there is a nice selection of polishes and gel polishes to select from.
I had to get a french mani pedi for a wedding I’m in this weekend and for $ 33 it wasn’t bad! My girl did a thorough cleaning of my toes and nails and coaxed me into a 15 minute leg and foot massage for $ 11… Was going to say no but figured oh what the hell! It was VERY nice… she did a great job and for 15 minutes, it was the perfect escape from the middle of the work day. She did a great job on my nails and was a perfectionist about getting the french tip perfect (even redid 2 nails completely because she wasn’t happy with it). That kind of effort earns a big star in my book :)
I tried to leave the drying station quickly to get back to work but she kept me there til I was dry (actually a good thing).
She kind of rushed on my top coat which I think could have been done a little better (it also created a small bubble on one of my nails) but all in all, pretty satisfied.
I’ll definitely be back. Especially for their $ 20 mani-​pedi deal Monday-​Wednesday! It is almost summer after all!
