Classes provide comprehensive information on labor, stages of labor, coping options, for both natural and medicated births, roles of support persons, position and breathing technique, induction and cesarean birth.

The goal at My Birth My Baby is to give you the necessary tools that will help to alleviate your fears and help you to make informed decisions in regards to your care, so that the birth of your child will be a positive and empowering experience

Business Owner

Andrea Lee is a Childbirth Educator and Labor Support Companion based in New York City. Andrea began her research into childbirth long before becoming pregnant, taking hospital tours and researching doctors who would support labor in a birthing center. After the birth of her son, she began speaking with other women about their birth experience and soon realized that many women felt powerless during their labor. It was then that she realized she wanted to be with and help guide expectant women and their partners in the amazing journey of pregnancy, labor and birth.

We just want to thank you for coming over on Saturday and preparing us for our little bundle of joy. You were wonderful and we were happy to have you as our educator. We had an amazing experience. We were never ready for childbirth but after our class you made it a lot easier :0)
We have now gained the confidence we need for childbirth, newborn care and breast feeding. The hands on experience was just what we needed!

Andrea’s childbirth class, taught in private in the comfort of our own home, was worth our time and money. She went through the birthing process in detail, outlining our different options and the potential positives/negatives of all the different options. I felt comfortable asking any questions i may have.
I think Andrea would be a suitable educator or doula for anyone giving birth, regardless of their birthing preferences. She is knowledgeable in the natural process, extremely so, and would be a great support for someone wanting to deliver at home or at a birthing center. However, I never felt judged by her about wanting to give birth in the hospital and she was able to tailor her teaching to my preferred method of delivery. I truly felt respected for it being my birth and my baby.

As first time parents, Andrea gave my wife and I a great labor/newborn care class today. I cannot express how much I thought her class was great– she let us know all of the important parts of the labor process, and made them easy to understand for a man. She had a great balance between medical facts and knowledge of someone who has experience, and of wanting the most comfort throughout the process while keeping safety as the most important factor.
I would recommend her for a class… she was very accommodating and was willing to come to LIC to help my wife and myself. Even though we just got a class from her, I imagine she would be a perfect doula, willing to work with whatever preferences any parents would have. Truly deserving of 5 stars!!!

Andrea helped me through one of the most physically and emotionally challenging days of my life and for that I will always be ever so grateful. She was there not only to support me but my husband as well. Even though I did not have the natural birth that I had wanted I have no regrets. Andrea was my advocate through the entire experience she did everything possible to help me try and have the kind of birth that I wanted. Andrea made me feel very comfortable whether it was her massaging my back, keeping me hydrated with my favorite coconut water, or making me laugh to keep my mind off the pain. I know we did everything we could. I have a great fondness for Andrea because she played such a big part of bringing my daughter into this world. Anyone would be so lucky to have Andrea be a part of their child’s birth.

Andrea was an amazing support to our family leading into and during the birth of our first child. She was warm, open and non-judgmental and completely committed to helping us explore all of the available options and have the kind of birthing experience we wanted. She was particularly helpful in talking through a difficult decision about whether or not to induce labor after I passed my due date.
During the birth, Andrea was a warm and encouraging presence — she helped in a hundred ways, massaging my feet and back, helping me stay hydrated and interfacing with the nursing staff on my behalf. She was also very sensitive about giving my husband and me time alone together and making sure that she was not being intrusive.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Andrea’s services to anyone looking for a doula.
