Description

Specialties

Moving Body Resources offers creative programs including Continuum Movement and supports many practices addressing the wellness and self-healing potential for human development.

We recognize that our feeling processes are essential in developing more efficient, dynamic and sophisticated flows of communication within ourselves, and with other humans, other species, and the entire living planet.

History

Established in 1999.

Moving Body Resources began as a space inspired by Continuum Movement classes and workshops to support the teaching of Mary Abrams and Continuum teachers from around the country.

In 2001 MBR grew into a facility with space for other professionals. Available healing arts practices that are offered include: massage, acupuncture, Rolfing, tai chi, yoga, cranial sacral therapy, myofascial release, and others.

In 2006, MRB moved into a 3200 sq ft space in Chelsea/Flower district where they are currently located. Has grown to host about 100 practitioners from around the world offering private sessions, weekly classes, intensive workshops, and healing circles.

Since early 2000, Mary has been exploring dialogues in Affect Psychology and Epistemics with Dr. Gary David.
