If I could figure out how to do it I’d rate this place negative 3 stars for service…

Egg sandwich, bread was dry as hell and somehow the eggs were dry too. Whole wheat pancakes were surprisingly bitter. Clarified with waiter if choosing bacon as my choice to add on my sandwich would be extra because at the bottom of the menu it said to choose between bacon, turkey bacon, or sausage and he said no. They still charged me for the bacon. Wthell.

My go-to dish here is the WILSHIRESANDWICH — grilled chicken, avocado, muenster cheese and bacon on ciabatta with crispy French fries and mayo. It’s also served with cole slaw and pickle as an «appetizer» which comes before the meal arrives. Tips: Ask for CRISPY not burnt bacon otherwise it will likely appear half-cooked & fatty on your sandwich. Also request slightly crispy fries to avoid mushy and limp. If you prefer salad instead of fries, ask if they’ll make a no-extra charge swap. In past years, they’ve obliged, but I haven’t asked recently. I don’t live or work in the area and come here when I shop at Lord & Taylor. Salads are also good. The FANDANGOSALAD has mixed field greens and romaine hearts, walnuts, roasted peppers, dried cranberries, blue cheese and green apple. The COBBSALAD has its traditional mixed field of greens, avocado, bacon, tomato, cucumber, boiled egg, green apple, choice of grilled chicken or roast turkey. and recommended with bleu cheese dressing. There’s many complaints on Unilocal about the service here. Service can be fantastic IF you get the tall male young waiter(sorry I don’t know his name) who has been there for years. The middle-age waitress I had this past Monday afternoon was just awful. She served me my Wilshire sandwich with fatty, barely cooked bacon although I requested crisp. I pointed it out to her as I lifted the bun and she said, well I told them crispy and shrugged her shoulders. As she started to walk away, I told her to take it back and she did, returning the dish with perfectly cooked bacon. But I never saw her again until she delivered the check — she was too busy chatting with another waitress in the front of the restaurant. Seeing my failure to catch her eye when my water glass needed a refill, the tall male young waiter and another«adopted me» as their customer in the interim, frequently refilling my water glass and bringing me a side of lemons to add to my water.

The massive size of the chocolate cookies in the front window is what drew my 10 year old and 10 year old niece to stopping in for a late night treat. Hands down worst cookies ever. Dry, crumbly, old… When 10 year olds throw out 80 percent of a dessert you know something is off.

My friend and I were looking for a diner for lunch and stumbled upon Moonstruck. The décor is modern for a diner, not your typical NYC style. Lots of menu options. Our service was quick and our food was very delicious. My friend ordered the turkey club and I ordered the gyro deluxe. Both had generous portions. The gyro meat was juicy and flavorful and the Greek salad was fresh and crisp. The plating was very well done too. All in all an excellent choice that really hit the spot for lunch.

These people are just going through the motions. They could care less if you get decent service or not.

Just ordered takeout for me and my wife. She had the omelet with toast, homefries and bacon. I had scrambled eggs, bacon and the absolute worst french toast in nyc. Thick, dry, doughy only the outside was grilled. Never again

Worst delivery orders ever! I HAD fond memories of food here and quickly lost them when I ordered delivery: Broccoli Pasta had next to no garlic, the broccoli was tired and flavorless, and the somehow managed to mess up the pasta shells too: this was my old favorite here. Next time I tried a Turkey Burger Deluxe which had soggy fries, and the burger itself not only was close to tasteless, it had tiny flecks of a paper-like substance in it, God only knows what that was. I stopped after only a few bites. To say this place has fallen off in a big way is an understatement. YOUHAVEBEENWARNED.

A great dinner away from grand central and enough away from garment district that the crowd is a good mix. Food is good diner quality, most likely better on a drunken night out. I just had to grill cheese with bacon and it wasn’t too greesy.

This place was great! I had waffles. The atmosphere was retro and cute. My husband had the Reuben and it had sooooooo much meat.

I stopped in here one evening for a cannoli when I had some time to kill. The cannoli was pretty good and not too pricey. Service was so-so and the décor was kind of strange and dated. I felt like I was in a place that would have been really cool in 2002. Overall a pretty good experience, but I don’t think I would go out of my way to return.

I came across moonstruck on Friday night while we were searching for a quick bite. I got chicken soup and house salad which were both decent. The soup was homemade and the balsamic dressing was homemade too which is a plus. My friend got cheeseburger and French fries. The burger was very good but for bread they used loaf bread instead of the burger bun, we thought that was a bit strange, also the cheese seemed like it was thrown on top of the piece of bread and microwaved so it didn’t look very appealing. It was overall a decent experience and a decent meal.

If you want your dinner to be delivered down the block by 6pm, order by 4. We are literally a few doors down and wait hours for an appetizer and a salad. The food is great but the wait– not so much.

Passed by this place after lunch one cold winter day. Craving for some sweets and the assortment of cookies/pastries looked tempting in the window. Normally I don’t like to try new places without reading reviews online first but since I’ve walked passed this place several times before(just a couple of blocks away from my office), I felt a sense of connection to this place like an old acquaintance. I went in to inquire on the prices of the cookies. A middle age man who seemed to be the manager came to assist me immediately and was very friendly. The cookies were 3 for $ 2, which seemed a little pricey but, being in Manhattan, it was acceptable. I bought 3 cookies: one chocolate drizzled, one chocolate dipped, and a round one with a cherry on top. Upon returning to the office, I immediate took out one of the cookies to give it a try. It was awful. The cookie was soft with a damp consistency, a texture that is often the result of being left in the refrigerator for several days. It definitely did not taste fresh. The dough was bland and did not leave any buttery taste in my mouth. There was a thin layer of apricot filling in the middle, which tasted like an store bought apricot jam. The cookies were pretty huge, although I wouldn’t consider that a plus since I did not even want to finish eating the first one. After this I think I’ll just stick to my old favorite bakery shoppe from my old neighborhood in Queens for delicious Italian cookies.

The scenery is great. Good location and useful layout. ‘Cool’ décor that’s still somewhat contemporary. Eggs and bacon were eggs and bacon. Pancakes were dry and tasteless. Hey, it’s a diner.

I was with my friend very hungry searching for a breakfast place. We found out Moonstruck, where we were welcome in a friendly manner. We ordered waffles and cappuccinos. Cappuccino was great, waffle was good. Overall I would say a very positive experience! G

A decent diner. I enjoyed the BBQ pulled pork burger. It had the BBQ components in place without it being over done — good in a subtle way but nothing to say wow. It was a well put together burger and tasty. It was sweetened correctly()on the light side), The pulled pork had a soft yet firm texture. The bun was airy and perfectly charred. Three stripes on the top and charred well all around to add flavor and great appearance. It was a pretty good burger with the extra delicious perfectly sweetened pickle with no side taste and tasty coleslaw. The waitstaff was cool. Though the burger was good, the price of the burger was a little pricier than expected.

Dropped in to avoid a sudden rain shower. Prompt service, clean, good sized portions. Has the cacophonous diner vibe. Got breakfast for lunch. Wanted latkes but not on menu. Got French toast instead. Not exceptional but perfectly tasty.

In New York for a week. We have eaten here every night for our midnight«snack.» There is so much to choose from! We love it. Service is great. Staff is super friendly! A little pricy. We buy pastries for the morning! Walking distance from our hotel; It’s a great little find in NYC! Oops. Had to edit review. Not even one free refill. Makes the $ 3 drink and $ 14 patty melt seem that much more expensive.
