Few people have the opportunity to work with a broker who is also a wonderful, kind and caring person, but I did when I worked with Diane De Amorim. She went well above and beyond for my fiancé and I. She has a very positive attitude, hard work ethic, demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and expertise, ultimately leading to our decision to take the apartment. Very friendly, easy to deal with, very forthright and honest. Thank you Diane for making our first experience looking for an apartment in NYC better than we could’ve ever imagined!!! :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND :)

Paul Magyar, the broker who helped me rent my space, was so easy to work with. I was in the process of needing to find a new tenant and found the idea of finding a friend of a friend or someone through an ad on craigslist very daunting. My management company recommended Paul and I couldn’t have been more lucky to be set up with him. He was very accessible and easy to communicate with. Whether it was via text or email he always got back to me within 24 hours and usually within hours– always with very direct and informative responses to my endless questions! He was very helpful through the process explaining how things work and sort of walking my through what I needed to be doing. Everything was done in a timely manner– getting the keys to my place, getting photos done by a photographer, getting clearance from my management company to lease the building, and setting up an open house. From start to finish it took 2 – 3 weeks. He was able to rent my apartment after only 1 showing and he got a total of 6 offers on the place (a small studio walk up). I was very impressed. He made the process very easy, stress free, and was a pleasure to work with. I’d recommend him to anyone looking to rent their space.

I could not have had a better experience with Mirador! I was breaking a lease with a company known for being hard on potential applicants and had already moved from NYC to SC so was not able to manage the process of finding a new tenant. I was originally working with a broker from another company who had the listing for a month and made no progress. I called Mirador, was connected with Paul Magyar and within 10 days he found someone and had them approved to take over the apartment.
Paul was on top of every part of the process and available to answer any questions I had at a moment’s notice. Mirador made me feel at ease from the moment I contacted them and made what was originally a very stressful situation one I no longer had to worry about. I can’t say enough how grateful I was to find a company I could trust! I can’t recommend them enough!

I worked with Cheriece and Adam at mirador and could not be happier with the outcome. Patience, encouragement, persistence (without being pushy) and a sense that they wanted to help out no matter what I chose in the end (one of their listings or places I was seeing with other brokers). I finally did go with one or their listings and could not be happier with the place itself as well. The experience with mirador, from its agents to its beautiful office makes the dreaded NYC apartment hunt easier to deal with.
A particular shout out to Cheriece who is a combination of funny and cool for finally helping me seal the deal for my place and for the kind housewarming card and gift that greeted me at move in.

I dealt with two agents from Mirador, both were excellent and extremely professional.
Jesse could not have been more helpful when I first moved NY. I was new to NYC and new to the US. Jesse was patient and very helpful in terms of helping me through the process which I was completely unfamiliar with.
11 month later Jennifer was very proactive and again patient when finding me someone to take over my lease.
I’m sympathetic towards the person who gave the bad review but that couldn’t be further from my experience.

I usually do not like working with real estate agents as I had several bad experiences of them being pushy, unresponsive, rude and always cancelling. So it came as a surprise when I worked with James S. @ Mirador who was personable and helpful. He showed me several options within my price range, explained/​walked the whole application process and answered all of my questions. He was in constant contact with the management to make sure my application was pushed through and if anyone has experienced it’s pretty disappointing when someone beats you to the apartment. Another thing that I’ve also noticed which I find important is that he was pretty up to date with the apartment availabilities. I’ve experienced on many occasions reaching out on postings from realtors who did not bother checking to see if the apartment was even available, which in the end wastes my time. I would definitely recommend using James S when looking for an apartment as he is trustworthy, up-​to-​date and reliable.

Love Mirador, especially my broker, Jennifer. Finding an apartment in NYC is usually hell, but so much less so with Mirador. They have good units and use professional, accurate photos. They’re friendly and helpful. I refer them to anyone looking for an apartment in NYC.

Jennifer R. at Mirador is awesome! Super professional and clearly works very hard to perform for her clients. Jennifer was brought in on a split fee transaction. We had some initial hiccups with my introducing realtor from another agency that brought us to the apt Jennifer was showing. Jennifer saw this and quickly covered many of the responsibilities that were to fall on our introducing realtor. And Jennifer did everything she could to ensure that we got the apartment. Jennifer also spent a lot of time working with us and the landlord to navigate some tricky financials on my side. Again, Jennifer put in the effort and got the results! We’re in the apartment, we love it, and all thanks to Mirador and Jennifer R’s exception efforts!

I was lucky enough to meet Jennifer at Mirador in my apartment search in the city. Not only was she extremely helpful in guiding me through the leasing process, she was also a genuinely nice person. The mirador office was always kept clean, and I was always offered snacks/​beverage when visiting them. I am now the happiest I have ever been in my apartment, and Jennifer checks in from time to time to see how I’m doing. She kindly sent me some chocolates (which I unfortunately ate, all by myself) but the gesture was very much appreciated. I definitely recommend meeting with Jen if you end up at mirador, she’s wonderful.

I have never written a review on Unilocal,but I feel I need to warn everyone:
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I wish I could give this company, and The broker zero stars. They will lie to you at any cost. They will stop answering phone calls and emails once they have your money. When you finally think that you are done with them, your building won’t have your key on your lease start date.
The company is so unprofessional. Horrible horrible horrible. I was so stressed the month I had to deal with this agent and this company. I left so many messages and emails that went unanswered. When I tried to call the company to speak to anyone but the broker (because she was so bad at returning any call or email) I was told I can only deal with her and hung up on.
I hope I never have to deal with anyone from the company ever again. Such a disgrace!
They really do not deserve the one star Unilocal makes me give them!

Unfortunately, I didn’t have a great experience with the broker I worked with from Mirador. I spoke with one broker over the phone who I told my preferences. The day before my appointment, I was contacted by another broker. Basically, I wasn’t really shown anything that met my preferences. First the broker took me to a large community in the East Village (Peter Cooper Village/​Stuy Town) which were way over budget (over $ 3000). I told him this at the beginning of the appointment but we spent about an hour there with him trying to convince me that it was worth it although I was firm about not going over my budget unless I had to. (Side note: PCV/​ST has HORRIBLE reviews. When I came home, I was even more upset that we wasted so much time at such a poorly run place.)
I mentioned earlier that I had other appointments (and I fully intended to keep them) and time was passing quickly so I said something and he quickly took me to another property. It was overpriced and outdated (kitchen/​bathroom) and it didn’t have ANY amenities besides a doorman. When I told him what I was looking for, he said I wouldn’t find anything suitable in that price range. I knew that wasn’t true because I have been looking at listing myself for over a month. He wanted to show me one more property but I had to go make my other appointment. I asked him to point me in the direction of the metro, which he did. I took a few steps and realized that I was going in the wrong direction! Now, I don’t know if that was intentional or not but since he identified himself as a native New Yorker, I’m going to assume that it wasn’t an accident.. .I’ll leave you to your own conclusions.
The appointment was a complete waste of time. Had I known that my requests were going to be ignored, I would have tried to see places on my own. I met with 3 brokers in total and this was my worst experience.
