Pizza is ok but customer service is below par. It’s a pizza restaurant but still some kind of courtesy has to be shown. I always order from here but this time they were pricks. Asked him what is the difference btw Med and large pizza and he looked at me like I’m an idiot. I know it’s cold outside and you are probably angry that you have to work but keep calm and smile for god sakes. Won’t be coming back!!!

THEWORSTPIZZA in Manhattan! Actually maybe the worst pizza I’ve ever had! How this place stays on business is a total mystery. They charge $ 2.50 a slice and I’ve had better $ 1 slices! So if you want to see how pizza can be ruined by… then by all means try it! As for me, I’ll never be back!

Typical pizza spot with a great location. Setting is nothing special and the food is just as basic. Overall it is the perfect spot to get a quick bite or a drunken night, though they close pretty early.

Have been grabbing pizza here since 2001. The pizza is pretty average and so are the prices. The place is clean and almost everything is prepared in plain view. Nothing special.

I have finally found my cheap pasta with meat sauce option! After moving down from the UES to the East Village 5 years ago, I was trying to find a good hangover cure pasta with meat sauce. The problem with most places I have tried down here is always portion or sauce. This place gets both right for only $ 9. This is by no means, some fancy pants bolognese. But for something that is tasty and can be split into 2 meals, look no further.

So this is my «late night» go to pizza place. I have tired all the local delivery spots and this one tastes the freshest. I like the fast delivery and the real time updates Unilocal app gives you. A+ and thanks for being a late night go to place!

the definition of mediocrity, the usual warmed-up-slice nyc joint. might as well get a $ 1 slice somewhere else.

We came here after happy hour and it was exactly what we expected. The pizza is edible, typical NY slice quality, but nothing amazing. I got the cheese pizza and if I became crazy drunk and all other pizza places in the world burned down, I would come back here and get the cheese again. The vegetable pizza wasn’t good, if I just had tried the cheese I would have given four stars, the vegetable pizza tasted more like re-heated pizza and wasn’t fresh, also way too heavy on the veggies they all slid off when you went to take a bite. The people that work there are nice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The people here are liars!!! Don’t pay with ur cc they charged me extra for using my card. The pizza sucks. I am filing a claim with my credit card company to get my money back. Awful staff and pizza might be worse

Mikes is a classic and traditional pizzeria that you don’t see too much of anymore in Manhattan. The staff works hard and is friendly, the prices are inexpensive, and the food is solid.

Their plain slice is your when drunk yet amazingly satisfying when sober/during daylight hours. Try their homemade pink lemonade

I don’t quite understand how you mess up three ingredients but they do it. Ellio’s has more taste.

Horrible service! No one speaks English! I ordered for a Corporate function at NYU and they not only charged me twice, but would not send me a receipt. Several calls, and no answers. No one can comprehend, or communicate well who answers the phone. Worst of all, the food was terrible! Do not order here, especially for Corporate needs!!!

Meh. Not worth the calories… too doughy, sauce is bland… can do much better. Nice enough people though. And place looks clean…

Absolutely terrible. Their pasta is bathed in so much oil that it drips out of every piece of penne. The chicken is overly breaded and overcooked. I ordered a «Cold Antipasto Salad» for $ 7 and they gave me a tub of iceberg lettuce with 4 slices of tomato and 3 olives.

Weirdly better than it’s sister shop an avenue over. You’d think the same ingredients and equipment would result in a similar product, but alas, that’s the mystery of pizza I suppose. The guys who work here seem genuinely nice and you’ll see far fewer old pies with dry sauce and yellowed cheese. Though they do have their slower hours and that sort of thing is inevitable to some extent. There’s definitely better pizza in the area but Mike’s Pizza is far from being the worst!

There is the rare occasion that I crave the traditional NYC-style pizza, and not the fancy stuff at Grimaldi’s, Lombardi’s, etc. It’s right around the corner from my apartment so I order delivery once in a while when I have friends over. They have the quintessential pizza pies, and they have subs and pasta dishes as well. I haven’t tried their pasta, but their eggplant parm sub wasn’t too shabby. Again, not the best I’ve had, but it’s perfect to end a Saturday night with. Their staff is so sweet, even though some of them speak just a lick of English. Another thing worth mentioning about Mike’s Pizza– they do not charge tax if you pay cash but once you whip out your credit/debit card, they take out this chart from under the counter that tells them how much tax they should charge you. It’s a bit old-school and shady, but I guess that’s what they need to do in order to keep up with their finances. Oh, and there’s never ever anyone ever dining in Mike’s Pizza. They have plenty of seats, but I think everyone somewhat feels ashamed for opting to get mediocre pizza from Mike’s instead of dining in at Grimaldi’s a few streets up. I’ll keep going to Mike’s Pizza because of convenience, but it’s nothing other than that.

Today I was suddenly struck with a craving for a meatball parm. Upon reviewing the options, I came upon Mike’s. A customer on Seamless said that just days before he had had a delicious meatball parm from this very eatery. I was sold! When it arrived my mouth was watering, I couldn’t wait. I had ordered a meatball parm as well as garlic rolls, which were a bit of a misnomer considering that I’m pretty sure they were just garlic knots. It was these garlic rolls that I bit into first, after having dipped them in the accompanying marinara sauce. Now, I’m no marinara connoisseur, but this sauce was a little runny and well, how do I put this… there were notes of something I can only describe as foot. I shrugged and moved on to the piece de resistance — the hero… Perhaps it was my excitement level, but I was disappointed. The sauce had the same notes of foot, and the meatballs themselves left a little something to be desired. It pains me to say this, but I wish I had just hopped over to my nearest Subway location for a meatball footlong. Whether my experience was ruined by my overblown excitement or not, we’ll never know, seeing as how I doubt I will be ordering from here again. HOWEVER, I will say that the amount of food that I received for the price was a true value. Lots of food, but little by way of flavor. – Guest Star Review by my bff Brenndon
