I came to maya at the suggestion of my chiropractor for what felt like a pulled/​aggravated/​swollen adductor in my thigh. I had seen several therapists, doctors and taken anti-​inflammatory drugs with rest as suggested by a physician and it did not get better. 1 session with Maya using e-​stim acupuncture and it made a world of difference– I had a few more sessions to treat this issue and i have since been cured– I She is very attentive, kind and knowledgeable. Whenever something arises for me, she is now the first person I consult. I recommend her to anyone who has any ailments/​issues and are willing to explore a more natural route.

I’ve been seeing Maya for about a year now, and I can absolutely recommend her. I have always been a bit skeptical about oriental medicine, but Maya is a highly trained practitioner and really showed me the merits of this practice. I have had stomach and hormonal issues significantly diminished while seeing Maya. She is extremely patient and calm and takes a great deal of time in explaining what she is doing and follow up self-​care. I look forward to going and can really tell when I have missed my appointments: my mood is far more anxious, my breathing is much shallower and I generally don’t feel well.

Maya’s assessment and application of Chinese Medicine is very impressive. I have seen many acupuncturists over the last decade and Maya’s work stood out in its very focused precision, zeroing in with just the right points that would accomplish our objective, which was to soothe and support the nervous system and calm anxiety.
Her presence and ‘bedside manner’ is quite nurturing and her application of the needles was quick and painless… and I am very sensitive to the needles. I immediately relaxed and drifted off, I probably could have slept for a few hours if left there… I loved our session and will return as much as possible. She also integrates touch into the treatment which is very soothing. In short, she is amazing! I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a refined, knowledgeable, effective and warm acupuncturist.

I saw Maya for several months to deal with some stomach/​digestive issues. These had been ongoing for several months prior to finding her, with several doctor visits, multiple tests, antibiotics, etc… none of it worked.
Actually found Maya via a Bloomspot deal, which I mostly just bought because my boyfriend wanted to try, and got one for myself, too, ’cause «why not»?
I’m SOOO glad I did. Within a month of starting to see her, my mysterious stomach issues finally went away. She was very patient & persistent with getting to the source of the problem. We did a combination of acupuncture and herbs, and all along the way she made every effort to keep things affordable.
She also has amazing «bedside manner” – very compassionate, great listener, etc. Which is very helpful when you’ve been struggling with ongoing health problems, because there’s a LOT of intense emotions that go on in a situation like that.
I would definitely recommend her to anyone & everyone who’s looking for an herbalist or acupuncturist… or even someone who’s having challenges that nothing else has seemed to solve.
Oh, and if your insurance allows you to do out-​of-​network acupuncture treatments, she’ll take care of filing all the claims and everything, so you don’t have to deal with it.

I’ve been seeing Maya for over a year now on a bi-​weekly basis and have noticed improved mobility/​pain relief in the year since. i am your typical cubicle worker who hunches over the computer and suffers from super tight neck/​shoulders syndrome. Acupuncture has helped manage this pain and I’ve also noticed an improvement in my adult acne! Who knew there are points that controlled your body’s oil production? Maya’s knowledge of herbal medicine combined with traditional acupuncture and her massage skills have gone a long way towards making me feel better in my own body. I highly recommend her.

Maya is amazing and so knowledgable in chinese medicine, she has amazing bedside manner. I was reading the prior texts about the bloomspots and people complaining that she wouldn’t take them. I just want to let other people know about the vouchers because the person complaining about them left out one major issue. The voucher (which I bought was good for) ONE YEAR. It is no one’s fault but the person who bought the voucher to redeem it in that year.
Its a shame that people would try and slander someone online when it is there own fault for waiting until the year is up.
In the end Maya and The Center where she is located is amazing I would go back to her for any issue i had. Thanks for helping me out Maya

I have been diagnosed with a Morton’s Neuroma in my foot and I was in constant pain. My podiatrist suggested a cortisone shot. I was not happy with that suggestion and I wanted to find an alternative solution. My Chiropractor, Dr. Fries, suggested I see Maya for some pain management. I was skeptical about getting acupunture for a foot related problem. I have been going to her for the past year and I can say that my pain has definitely improved. I can walk around the city all day without getting electric shocks in my feet! Maya is always very attentive and listens to your comments and concerns. If you are looking for an acupuncturist, I would highly recommend Maya.

I’ve seen Maya for several acupuncture sessions so far and have had positive experiences each time. She’s professional and knowledgable but at the same time, personal and compassionate. She’s been very accommodating dealing with my crazy schedule — afternoons or evenings, I’ve been able to book appointments with no problems. I highly recommend Maya, especially for those who are new to acupuncture.

I started seeing Maya earlier this year and I cannot recommend her enough! Unfortunately I was in a bike accident last year, but I was fortunate when I found the Center for Integrative Feeling to help with my recovery.
Maya was the first acupuncturist I have ever been to, and I am so glad that I found someone who not only explained everything to me, but also made me feel at ease with the whole process.

I had the most difficult time redeeming a Bloomspot offer with this provider and the ‘Center for Integrated Healing.’ For one of my treatments, the chiropractor at this facility decided to cancel one of my appointments and nobody bothered to notify me, so I showed and was turned away without any explanation or offer to reschedule. When I emailed with Maya, she refused to honor my voucher because there were no available appointments before the expiration date. I understand that people get booked up, but she could have been gracious and offer an appointment after that date if she had no prior ones available. I was then told that I could use the full price of my voucher ($ 60) toward any full-​priced treatment. i then asked if I could book an acupuncture appointment and she replied that I would have to purchase 3 since the voucher was bought for 3 sessions. Sort of a skeezy and greedy vibe to the whole deal. Not exactly the kind of thing you expect from so-​called ‘healers.’

Anyway, I filled out long detailed paperwork and Maya took a lot of notes, we talked through each thing. After we figured out some problem areas to work on I got on the table and we started the procedure.
It didn’t hurt like I anticipated and I felt very relaxed afterwards. When we were done Maya said she would follow up with an email to find out how I was doing feeling and then we’d figure out the next steps. Thanksgiving came and went and I still didn’t hear, so I kind of just let it go.
