Math Academy provides comprehensive, one-​on-​one and small group tutoring to high school and college students. We offer tutoring in person or online (nationwide). Students have the option of getting tutored in-​home, in-​dorm /​on campus, or at our facilities. We are the only tutoring company that covers all levels and areas of math, including high school, college, and graduate, PhD level math.

On your first tutoring session, our experienced and knowledgeable tutors will make a detailed assessment of your abilities in the course you’re taking, as well as test your general math skills. Your tutor will then craft a customized learning program to fit your needs.

History

Established in 2007.

Math is essential in many fields of study from physical to social sciences, and beyond. None of the technological and scientific progress we have today could have occurred without math. It is no secret that math education in America lags behind Europe and Asia. Math Academy seeks to change this for the students that work with us. It is not only important to improve one’s test scores, but to also further the student’s knowledge of math to appreciate its value, and to be able to internalize the material learned. We stand out from other tutoring companies by going beyond the test score and the standard requirements of the math curriculum in schools and colleges. We teach math in as a detailed and thorough manner as possible, and we always make it enjoyable. Our tutors are chosen for their knowledge of math as well as their experience, and strong teaching and communication skills.

Business Owner

David Y. founded Math Academy on his love for math and his passion for one-​on-​one teaching and mentorship. Of Russian or the Former Soviet Union roots, David had the privilege of being mentored by teachers and professors who not only commanded thorough knowledge of their subject areas but had the cultural desire to pass their knowledge unto their students. At Math Academy, we are aware of the shortcomings of the education system that often presents math and science material in a shallow and gimmick-​oriented approach. David and the tutors at Math Academy are inspired by a thorough and detail-​oriented approach to learning maths, and sough to emulate within Math Academy the deeper, more comprehensive style of teaching. At Math Academy we understand the importance of personal tutoring and customized educational solutions that are tailored to the student’s needs.
