ManhattanWalks specializes in providing custom private tours of New York City, We lead tours that last for an entire day as well as 2 to 4 hour tours. And we travel like New Yorkers, going by foot, by subway, bus and, if you would like, limousine. We also act as step on guides if you are traveling to New York City by private tour bus. ManhattanWalks designs each tour to meet the needs, interests and time of everyone in your group.

History

Established in 2006.

I am the owner and tour guide for ManhattanWalks. I retired from the New York City school system after 34 years as a teacher and administrator. My love of New York City, its history, architecture, and thousand of nooks and crannies, created within me the desire to start a second career as a tour guide. I obtained my tour guide license in 2001 and became a full time guide after my retirement in 2003.

I am a life long New Yorker, born and raised in Queens and currently living in Manhattan. I was a public school teacher and administrator within the NYC school system for 34 years. Retiring from the school system in 2003, I became a full time New York City tour guide.
