I would give them a negative review if I could. They are completely unresponsive to their patients. They put you on hold for over ¹⁰⁄₁₅ minutes and then will transfer you randomly to a VM without telling you where they are transferring you. I’ve been very sick and was prescribed a high price inhaler that I could not afford. Only the pharmacist (spoke with the Dr’s office first) could recommend an alternative and then the Dr’s office would not confirm or get back with me about whether they would prescribe the alternative. I will never set foot in this place again. I would avoid at all costs. I actually think this whole ordeal in trying to work with this office has made me sicker.

I am happy that I came to Unilocal to read all these reviews about them cancelling appointments with no notification. I called to confirm my appointment for today and they informed me that it had been cancelled 2 weeks ago and that they had called and left a voicemail.
I never received a voicemail from their office and they said they couldn’t schedule me another appointment until February and it’s December… This is completely and utterly unprofessional and I hope people stop coming here.

Can anyone contact them? Do they still exist? Their telephones don’t work nor do any of their email addresses. Am trying to schedule an appointment but cannot get through!

Both my gyno and primary care Dr. are at this location. I will be dropping them as BOTH lost my lab work. These were totally separate visits and separate lab techs! First, you go in to see your Dr and then you are told you will have to come back another day to have your blood drawn, who has that kinda time??? And to have to come back a 3^rd time and a 4^th time to repeat labs is insane!!! To make matters worse, if I didn’t follow up on my results I would never have uncovered the mistake. It took me 4 weeks to get in touch with a nurse!
Fire the entire lab staff and maybe this practice will have a chance to survive!

My husband and I used to come here since it’s close to our offices, but we decided to change our family doctor and not come here any more.
First, the doctors never respect patient’s time. I always arrive there 5 minutes before my appointment time but they always keep me waiting for at least 30 minutes.
Second, the doctor is very unfriendly. My husband has high cholesterol and went there to see an internal medicine doctor and a cardiologist. They both recommended tons of costly blood tests, but never used the results to give us any recommendations.
Third, the doctors always give you medicines that are NOT covered by insurance. Both my husband and I have very good insurance covered by our employers. But the doctors always persuaded us to use some expensive medicines not covered by insurance. Anyway, this clinic is very very disappointing.

I ended up cancelling my rescheduled appointment because I don’t have time or the energy to deal with a doctor’s office that treats you less than human (looking at YOU, Dr. Phillips assistant… whatever your name is).
Today a woman from the 5^th Ave office called me to re-​schedule my appointment that they cancelled 2 weeks ago but no freaking way. I don’t want to wait another 2 months to have my annual exam.
Also, I couldn’t believe that they wouldn’t write me a birth control prescription out of feeling bad for cancelling my appointment without any notice. I mean, I’m completely out and that was the reason I was going to see a new doctor for my annual: so I could get a new BC pill prescription!!!
Don’t go to the 5^th Ave location for Dr. Phillips… whatever you do! She may cancel again without warning and god forbid her assistant actually calls you before you arrive at the office.

Clearly I had a very different experience as Rob, which is too bad. I will not be coming back to this office again. If you have a lot of time on your hands and are used to dealing with individuals who clearly hate their jobs, this is the place for you.
I saw Dr. Moore for regular annual checkups at least two to three times now, the doctor himself is nice and seemed knowledgeable enough for my needs, which aren’t a lot since I’m still under 30 and pretty healthy. HOWEVER, the reason why I had to give this place a one star NOW is the quality (or lack thereof) and the poor attitude of people who answer their phones, especially this one lady who I spoke with last Friday at the «corporate office.» She was very rude and was not clear AT ALL in terms of the amount of time it «usually» takes a doctor to call patients back. I called the doctor for followup questions about 24 hours before I spoke with her (which was last Friday afternoon) and again earlier during the day last Friday, but with no answer (no answer when I spoke with her). Which was not that big of a deal considering my questions weren’t all that «urgent» at the time. I decided to call back just to followup, and see how long I should expect before the doctor calls me back — a very innocent question in my mind. She at first told me it takes 24 – 48 hours, to which I said, okay, since it’s been 24 hours already, does that mean I should expect the doctor to call me back on Monday (as it was Friday afternoon already, my initial assumption was doctor won’t be calling for non-​urgent questions over the wknds), she said: «well, that’s not what I’m saying, hang on.» She then came back and started saying that my test results were mailed to me, which is why the doctor never called — uhhh, NOT my question and not even the case! In fact, the doctor did call me on Thursday and left a msg, in his msg he clearly said, if you have any more question, pls call us back. I did right away, but by then the office was closed already, so I left a msg for him to call me back. And the next day (Friday), I tried calling the office again just to check-​in but of course doctor was not available so I left another msg. Then it gets to almost 5pm on Friday, I still haven’t gotten any call from the doctor, I thought perhaps I should just call and check again, and that’s when I reached this wonderful lady… She went on to say if I put in a NEW request right now (mind you, I already have two requests of the SAME thing outstanding, one of them has already been 24 hours), it will take ANOTHER 24 – 48 hours from NOW, oh, and she said stuff like common sense says 24 hours from today takes you to Saturday, but Sunday the office is closed, so 48 hours means next Monday! Implying not only I had zero common sense, that it is possible for the doctor to call me back on Saturday — except later on, when I asked specifically about Saturday again, she finally said no, you should expect a call on Monday, not over the wknds at all. She just had no idea AND she was very rude, kept on telling me to let her finish before I could even explain exactly what my question was… Anyway, I am definitely not the most articulate person out there but that’s also why my job is not to answer calls at a doctor’s office. It is your JOB to explain things to patients when they call, it would be nice if you could do your job with a bit more pride and care. I get it, you hate your job; maybe you are one of the 99% who’d rather not work… I can’t really blame you. But I can take my insurance and business elsewhere. Thank you for helping me to make this decision so easily.

Very courteous front desk people, the wait not long at all on every occasion I have been there. I saw Dr. Egelman for a number of Cardiology visits. He is very knowledgeable, polite and took the time to answer all my questions and alleviate my worst fears. When I came back for a stress test he made what could have a scary experience both tolerable and pleasant. He gave me the results right there which was nice and alleviated any anxiety on my part.
I have seen Dr. Witt on a number of occasions; from a complete physical to other things that seem to pop up as one drifts farther and farther into the 40s. Dr. Witt is without a doubt the finest physician I have ever seen. My physical was very, very thorough and not rushed. Knowledgeable, courteous, polite, he took the time to go over my lab results with me and explained them in a way that I was able to understand. He has to ability to talk medicine in a way that does not intimidate you. When I injured my back he referred me to their Physical Therapy department in the same building where I received the same excellent level of care.
I have never had a negative experience there. The facility is modern, immaculate and the free Wi-​Fi is a definite bonus!!! Nobody likes going to the Doctor but when the time comes I highly recommend Manhattan’s Physician Group!
