WHY DID I BOTHER GOING? I knew the dealer would be overpriced but would not trust them to do my service. I brought it in for a convertible top repair. They promised a «multi point vehicle inspection & report» which was never produced after several requests. Their $ 3000 quote to repair the top was to replace all of the motors which is an impossible feat that everything went bad at the exact same time. I also attempted to get a trade in valuation and look at a new car from the salesman Robert and I guess since i wasn’t spending $ 120k it wasn’t worth his time because after many attempts to reach him he never replied. So they charged me $ 200 to tell me my top was broken which is why i brought it in in the first place. And I will never buy a vehicle from them or do business.

I contacted this dealership in an effort to purchase a 2016 Boxster S that I had wanted to order. One would think this would be relatively quick and easy, no? No! I was given «Carlos» who had a very LOFTY attitude and was VERY impressed with HIS importance… to the point where he thought himself to be more important than I, the customer. He is horrible with returning calls, in fact, he does not even bother. If you want him? You’ll just have to keep calling. He barely responds to emails except to write repeatedly, «You really should come in. We normally do this in my office». I am a very busy, time pressed individual who is used to buying/​leasing over emails and the phone. Delivery is always at my office. This is a completely foriegn concept with Manhattan Motorcars. Apparently Carlos has become independantly wealthy. My advise is; try another dealership. Most dealerships hire people who actully need to sell. (P.S. I found one. So I brought my business there!)

Danielle Sialiano is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to make sure you get the car that you want. I highly recommend her and the dealer for an excellent car purchase experience.

I am a loyal customer because they are by far the best in the business. I go «out of my way» to buy my cars from them and to service my car with them. I purchased my Cayenne from MM back in 2011 after shopping around. One of the primary reasons I finally chose them was the service department, as I dealt with them often during the purchase process. Frank Pica has been my contact during my ownership, and he constantly goes above and beyond. You would expect after purchase that there would be a drop off in attention, but it has been the opposite for me. My emails and calls are returned promptly, he manages my expectations regarding costs, timelines, and deliverables, and I always walk away from Frank feeling that my business is important to him. That is all any one wants when making such a large purchase, and I always recommend to my friends that if they are in the market, to start at MM first because of my experience as an owner with Frank and his team.

If anyone is looking to purchase a car at this dealership, please ask for Dominick DiMatteo… he is by far the most professional, patient, knowledgeable salesman I have ever met.

Michael Holland would be one of the reasons to buy a car at Manhattan Motors. It is refreshing to have an individual who understands customer service. He listens, keeps you updated and is extremely responsive to the service needs I might encounter with my Porche. He follows through and delivers on time. When you buy a luxury car you want to have assurances that they will be there for you when you need them the most… After the sale. Even though I moved to New York from Florida Michael had treated me like I am his most important customer! Thank you Mr Holland !

I will not be returning in a couple of months when I am looking to lease a Porsche. Today I can honestly say I got the worst treatment I have ever received. To be fair I got there at 3:40, twenty minutes before they close and I was out of there before 4:00. Either case it left me with a very sour taste and I hope it was an isolated incident.

In August, I ordered a new Cayman S. Andjela has been my liaison. She’s been very helpful. I have yet to take delivery. Recently, I had my license temporarily suspended. Consequently, I will need to have my car stored for a couple of months. They have been very helpful regarding this. So far, my experience with the dealership has been entirely pleasant. It’s been what you should expect when you buy a new luxury car.

Ordering a vehicle through Manhattan Motorcars was a easy, straightforward, and enjoyable process. Our salesman John was extremely helpful and accommodating, and unlike your average dealer he was adamant on telling me what upgrades/​accessories were worth it, and which ones I was wasting my money on (this was a first). I never felt pressured and would gladly recommend purchasing a vehicle through them.

I should have known better then to have my car worked on at Manhattan Motorcars. I read a lot of online reviews stating how bad they were. People I know said Manhattan Motorcars is not to be trusted. Forewarned, I thought I could remove the shady business tactics of their Service Center and Repairs Department by calling in advance and agreeing to the work to be done at a specified price. My initial phone calls with the Service Department went all right. I explained that I had been to a competing dealer who looked over my brakes and determined, by measuring the thickness of my brake pads, that I needed only new front brake pads. There was not enough wear to require work on the rotors (since there was plenty of pad left). I explained this on the phone and got a quote of $ 750 for the work. I felt uneasy when the service person kept referring to it as a «pad slap» and that I needed rotors as well. I explained multiple times that I have replaced brake pads on cars before and that the rotors were fine. I shopped around and found that a New Jersey shop would do the brake pads and rotors for $ 999 for the front brakes only, and that included new rotors. When I tried to get them to lower the price for pads only, they wouldn’t even talk with me. They would only allow a brake repair if rotors were included in the work as well. I called a Long Island dealer as well. They were pricing the brake job on the Porsche Cayenne at $ 1200, sight unseen and included the rotors as well. I called Midas brakes and told them what was going on. They said that if I could get a set of brake pads, they would install them for me. But Midas said they couldn’t get a dealer to provide brake pads, so I was better off just having the pads put on at the dealer (and save myself an extra trip).
So I go to Manhattan Motorcars after making a fourth call to them confirming the job is for front brake pads only. They once again called it a «pad slap» and said that it would take two hours. I made the appointment and showed up early Monday morning around 9:00 am. They greeted me with a pleasant smile, and showed me the waiting room after we one again went over the work. I once again was told that this is a «pad slap» and that they would check the measurements again. I signed off on the work to be done and waited downstairs. After sitting there for three hours and no one came to even say hello to me, I walked upstairs to the service area. They told me that they ran the measurements and that I needed to get rotors on all four of the brakes. I told them no, I had been waiting for three hours and that the car was to be done. They apologized and said that the car needed the work done because the brakes were dangerously close to being «out of spec». Out of spec was 16 mm on the front and 30 mm on the back. That is a lot of padding when you look at a ruler and see how close it comes to an inch of padding.
The clerk ran through the song and dance and told me how important my brakes are and how this needs to be done. I have to say he had me on the hook. I had waited almost two months to get this appointment. I took a day off of work to come and wait for the car. I had already blown half of my workday just sitting in the waiting area, and I was furious.
I told the clerk about my option with the other dealer for $ 999 in New Jersey (for the pads and rotors). He agreed to drop $ 400 off of the price of $ 2700 to $ 2300 including tax. I calculated in my mind that with tax at the other place I am loosing out on $ 200 and I will potentially need to take another day off of work. Therefore it behooved me to just let these jerks work on my car. Since all of the Porsche dealers in the Tri-​State area refuse to have service hours outside of 9 to 5 during the workweek, there was no way for me to avoid loosing another day of work. So I relented and agreed to the rotors to be put on all four wheels.
I am still upset that my agreed upon $ 750 brake repair has mushroomed into a $ 2300 brake job. What a rip off! I called there four times to confirm that this was only for the front brake pads. And after we agreed on the price, they forced me to renegotiate.
I can’t stand the fact that they ate up all of my time on Monday since I had to wait another four hours for them to finish the brake work that was suppose to be finished at 11:00 am. And as I sat in the service area at the guy’s desk who had lied to me for hours on end, I became even more upset.
As you can tell, I am still pissed off at what Manhattan Motorcars did. Since I obviously have the time to write such a long and detailed complaint, I obviously had the time to install the brake pads myself. Next time I will learn my lesson and do the installation without the headaches of going to the dealer. I will instead have them mail the box of brake pads to my apartment so I can spend a Saturday parked by the Hudson River with my Cayenne jacked up.

Service is overpriced! Even for a Bentley dealer! They always delay in getting your car repaired and in ordering parts — Not up to par

This is only a review of their repair services; I haven’t purchased a car from them.
Manhattan Motorcars is a high-​end exotic car dealer and repair center. I own a classic exotic sports car, with a big appetite for repairs. Before scheduling my first appointment at MM, I asked the service adviser if they were comfortable working on such a car, and was told yes, of course.
Now, I realize that things take time with cars like mine, particularly finding parts and so forth, so I of course factor that into my expectations, however, this shop is beyond the pale in dragging out repairs that should be relatively quick and straightforward even for an exotic (an estimated one week job taking nearly a month, for example… AFTER all parts were delivered), and simply feeding me a line of BS to make me think that progress is being made when in fact my car may not even be touched for weeks at a time. I’ve caught them in several lies of this sort.
Mind you, the shop caters to only the best autos, and charges accordingly… an astronomical $ 185/​hr for labor. As such, service like this is unacceptable.
Perhaps the service is better for the newer cars they sell in the dealership, but they shouldn’t accept work that they can’t handle or don’t want.
