Which I did. 42 minutes after my arrival, in an empty waiting room, I asked the receptionist whats going on. She replied that the machine was broken and they were doubling up on the other machine. And the reason, she didn’t inform me??? Because she is INCONSIDERATE of my time. I can not ever get back those 42 minutes… She didn’t care and asked if I wanted to re-schedule? RUDE, RUDE, RUDE Can I charge them for my time? Let me know what you think!!!

Manhattan laser spa has wonderful, attentive and professional staff. Such a key location when in Manhattan and the prices keep me returning. Guys can get hair removal and other face treatments. Excellent when you need to put your best foot forward. Would recommend again!

With summer approaching, i realize I bought tons of skirts I have never worn because of my legs. My friend suggested me Manhattan Laser Spa and I am extremely happy with the job they accomplished. I have never tried Laser before and was unsure about the result. The staff at the phone was very friendly and helpful. My technician was a real pro, she perfectly knew what she was doing. I returned there for having all the hair removed and the result was incredible. It has been several weeks now and my legs are smooth and I am no longer ashamed to wear a skirt. Thank you so much to all the incredible staff. I would recommend this spa to anyone who wants the best result in New York!

I went here and got a laser Brazilian and Velashape; which together took about an hour and 40 minutes. It’s been a week since I have been and hair hasn’t grown back. Right when I walked in, I was surprised to see how clean and chic looking the waiting area was. Also, the staff was very professional and friendly. Elena and Daniela are the best! The procedures I had were very effective and will definitely make another visit next month.

Unacceptable customer service. First they are unorganized-will lose your appointment & blame you. So it’s a waste of time. Also a waste of money as they don’t provide full treatments as they promote. Velashape massage is a 30 – 40 mins service. They only give 7 – 8 mins, because as they said«your arrival, processing, undressing & dressing is part of your session». So, it’s a waste of money since you’re not going to get what you pay for. There are many great spas in NYC& I love discovering them with Groupon-this one is a big disappointment. Sad I learned the hard way, but at least you won’t have to if you heed this warning. Follow up-this business emailed me after seeing this & tried to bribe me with a free session«if I delete my review», but would not respond to the fact that each session time was short-changed, not even half the time promoted on their website(which is 20 min minimum), or that they lied about the manager being on vacation when I asked to speak to the manager after being blamed by the front desk for them losing my appt. Too much drama for a place that’s supposed to help you relax.

Horrible horrible customer service. They do not value their customers what so ever at this place. I tried to change my appointment and the receptionist proceeded to tell me that since it is the same day, I will lose my session that I have paid for. Not to mention my experience at their brooklyn location was far worse. I was 5 minutes late to an appointment and they said they would not take me and I would lose my session as well. I will continue to finish my sessions because they were paid for but my experience here has been short of mediocre.

I went to this place a few months ago for a few Velashape, body contouring sessions. First off I only wanted to purchase a package with 3 sessions but the receptionist kept trying to convince me to get a package of 6. I wasn’t to sure so she had me meet with the technician. The tech told me I should purchase all 6 and if I didn’t want to continue after the first three they could just refund me the last three plus they would honor the groupon rate. So I agreed. Big mistake. Long story short, I found it to be painful and after the 2nd appointment I decided I didn’t want the last 3. I accepted the loss of the the 3rd session because I didn’t give enough of a cancellation notice. When I tried to get refunded for the last 3(that I didn’t even want to begin with and only got because the tech told me I could get it refunded if I didn’t use it!) I was told to contact the manager via email. When I explained my situation in a long email I got a short simple NO. When I responded they didn’t even bother to email be back. Let me just say I work front desk in a similar business & management or myself would never treat anyone like that. I understand you can’t always get your way however I was not asking for a refund of sessions I already used or even the one I was late the cancel. I just wanted what I was told from my first visit! The tech was obviously misinformed or just trying to get a sale. The receptionists were horrible as well. They never smiled, were not at all sympathetic when I was having an issue and one of them always stared me down! Granted I signed an agreement but I was going off what the tech told me and what I thought she repeated to the receptionist(couldn’t tell because they spoke to each other in another language, also a little rude no?). Horrible service. Horrible management. Rules are rules however some can be bent to keep a customer happy, coming back and not writing bad reviews! P. S. This rant was brought on by the promotional emails they keep sending me. No Manhattan Laser Spa, I’m never going back.

DONOTGOTOTHISPLACE. Beside myself with rage! After booking appointment and coming to a price agreement over the phone for a single session, several sites, I arrive to find the price is actually $ 50 more than I was advised. Apparently there was a communication error– as the figure $ 200 was never once mentioned on the phone am unsure how — must have been the telepathic communication I didn’t pick up on. Totally unsatisfactory receptionist with apparently no manager to explain to me why I was lied to on the phone and brought in under false pretenses. Would love an explanation if management here care at all?

I have been getting laser treatments here for over a year now, and I must say the service has really gone down. When I first started coming here, I almost always had the same tech(5⁄6 times). Even the one time that I had someone else, she was nice. Based on THAT experience, I decided to purchase another package. Went ahead and scheduled an appointment with my technician, only to later get a confirmation email saying it was someone else. I called in to check, they tell me it’s just a computer thing, all the appointments carry a single tech’s name. So on my appointment day I come in, and some stranger calls my name. I ask if I forgot to sign something, she tells me no and that she’ll be performing my service. Naturally, I ask for my usual technician. Only THEN am I informed that my tech no longer works for the company. WTH? I asked you explicitly about this. I should’ve known then that things were going downhill. The new people: rude, inconsiderate, and incredibly rough. I had a new person for all of my remaining treatments. Each time was progressively worse than the one before. When the burning sensation became too overwhelming, I was never allowed a break of more than 4 seconds before they resumed(yeah, I seriously counted). They didn’t pat or press the treatment area to help dissipate the heat – something I was used to Demi doing. They seemed to take a personal offense whenever I said the laser setting was too high. And it’s not like it was my first time or something, I knew the drill but could tell that something wasn’t right. And for the first time, I actually got burn scars – all over both my legs except the area where she finally reduced the setting. They now seem to have a general lack of care: one of my techs literally kept throwing my leg from one position to another… not moving or repositioning, but picking up and throwing one leg into the other. I had to ask if something was wrong. I’m not exactly sure what happened, whether it was new management, new staff, or both, but the service has gone down since my initial treatments here with Demi and even Albina. My advice: find Demi wherever she is in the city… you won’t be disappointed if you do!

I’ve been going to this place for over a year now to get a Brazilian laser hair removal, and I don’t even live in the city anymore! I did some research before going here and this is one of the best places in all of Manhattan for both the price and value. The staff has been incredibly friendly towards me and I always get seen in a timely manner. The technicians are also really careful to tailor the treatments towards your comfort level. Laser hair removal is always a little painful no matter where you go, but it definitely works and is worth it. It certainly beats waxing every few weeks!

About two years ago I tried a different laser spa and I was so disappointed with the results, all of my hair grew back. A friend of mine recommended Manhattan Laser Spa so I decided you know what let me give this a shot again. I am on my second treatment now for Brazilian and underarms and let me tell you I am thrilled with the results. I saw results right from the start! I didn’t have to shave my underarms for the whole time until I went for my second session(6 weeks). The majority of the hair did not grow back and whatever did was so thin it was unnoticeable! All of the employees(laser technicians and receptionists) are very nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend ELENA as a laser technician. She is so sweet and makes you feel so comfortable during your session. Love her !!!

I’ve had 2 hydrafacials and so far I’m very favorably impressed. I tend to get clogged pores and need extractions, but I’ve never had it done the way they do it here. Rather than using their hands or a metal instrument, they use a vacuum device. I was skeptical that it would work but it works just as well as the traditional method, without leaving red marks on my face the way most facials do. The exfoliation is very gentle… I have sensitive skin so I’m super aware of anything that’s too abrasive. This isn’t, but it left my face feeling smooth and hydrated, without any redness. There are about 4 steps in the whole process, and they really concentrate on exfoliating to get rid of fine lines. The facility is clean and efficient, with more of a medical feel than an Eastern spa feel. That was fine with me — it’s super clean. I also like that you can book appointments online. I plan on going back.

Not a big fan of Manhattan Laser Spa and won’t be booking any future sessions. I’ve done laser hair treatments prior elsewhere. One thing I’ve notice in my past that when you are assigned a technician for your treatments, that technician will be your technician until your sessions are completed or otherwise. Manhattan Laser Spa, does not practice that. I had booked 5 sessions and all 5 sessions each and every time I went in, I had a different technician. Even when I would ask if I can please book with a certain person Manhattan Laser Spa did not listen. As a customer, when you’re comfortable with a person that provides exceptional service, why do you replace them with someone else? Not every technician is the same and not every technician is good at what they do. Please note. You’re not the one paying for my sessions. I am. Does Manhattan Laser Spa not want for the customer to get comfortable with a prefer technician? Is that it? In addition, the ladies at the reception area need to polish the attitude. When dealing with the public smiling and being welcoming is very important. The services the customer pays for pays your hourly wages. Try smiling a bit more. Thank you.

So I have been going there for almost a year. The technicians are usually nice. The machines are good and new. Ppl at the reception, so so — it depends on your luck and their day which is understandable– it gets busy there. My favorite technician is Elena, I make sure every time she is the one I see. She is very friendly, listens to your concerns and considers your pain tolerance. She is very patient too. She takes her time in explaining how things work. I like her so much. If you are going there, make sure you work with her. She is just amazing.

This place is good for what it is. The laser works and they’re forever having a sale that is «just about to end». But everyone here has such a nasty attitude, especially the owner. I’ve seen her berate her workers in front of customers. It’s uncomfortable. The only good person is Hanna, she is a doll.

Loved this place and am having great results. I get the Brazilian done here and they do a very good job and it takes maybe 10 – 15 minutes. The staff has always been helpful, pleasant, and accomodating(ALWAYS late). I went here bc I purchased a groupon last year. Hair is barely growing back and is very fine! You never have to wait long. Best invest for those of us that are not to keen on shaving. It is a bit painful, but it is over quick and i didn’t experience any irritation or soreness directly following treatment.

I have been coming here for about half a year now. I like this place. I am very satisfied with my hair removal progress. I find the laser technicians friendly and accommodating; some more so then others. The staff is difficult to deal with at times but if you are patient they get the job done well. I find booking easy as long as I remain slightly flexible and plan 6 — 8 weeks in advance. They have a decent system to email remind you of appointments. The waiting room is pleasant and there is a cooler to help refresh. I found this place originally via groupon but they have some great off web deals and I may just continue coming here and maybe even bring a few friends
