I leased a new Range Rover Evoque from them last year. The car has been in their shop 4 times since I got it. First problem was that my heat wasnt working and many of the warning lights kept going off so I brought it in. They replaced my brakes (a little less than $ 1000) even though I never asked them to check brakes nor did I or anyone else who drove the car feel the brakes were worn out. The heat was fixed but all dashboard warning lights still not working properly. Fyi. They had my car for almost a week. Then my right headlight needed to be replaced and they still didn’t adjust other lights. Now my left headlight needed to be replaced and they said I had a leak in a water pump so they had my car for 4 days waiting for that part. As I was leaving they told me my inspection was due. They called and texted 1 – 2 times almost every day they had the car and never mentioned it before! Now they say if I bring it in they will do inspection immediately! All the women at reception desk and taking phone calls were amazing — no problems there but either mechanics are told to focus on big buck items or they are pretty incompetent. I have had lots of cars high end and basic and theuae guys are by far the worst. I cant see how they retain customers.

I own a Ford (Mercury) automobile and walked into the place today (September 29, 2014) and they seem to be closing! The Jaguars and Land Rovers have taken over but the rest of the brands are moving out. I was handed a photocopied sheet telling me where to go for Ford, Mazda and Volvo needs. The employees seemed pretty stunned.

One star because zero isn’t an option. Unless you have the intention of spending a few thousand for mostly nothing and getting the worst service of your life, oh, and maybe if you don’t need your car for SIX MONTHS, don’t take your car here. I had to rage at these people to get anything at all done with the car. If I hadn’t left 6 nasty voice mails I’m convinced they never would have provided me a lender vehicle and the lender vehicle had to be their only reason for ever getting any work done on the car. All they did was change spark plugs, change the battery and change a transmission switch and it literally took them 6 months to do it. They told my husband twice that the car was ready to go and twice it was not ready to go, he paid $ 2500 the first time they said that and I picked the car up 4 months after that. When I finally got the car back, the glove compartment was completely ripped out of the dashboard and the guy told me it came in like that, a complete lie, I just happen to be a woman so these car people think I’m an idiot. And the button on the horn was totally dismantled and will never fit again. I can hear that the car doesn’t run properly and the brakes are a mess like they’ve never been before. God knows what they actually did to it. I’m beyond disappointed and I simply think that you should never have to be nasty to get the things done that you over paid for.

I bought a new 2014 Lincoln MKZ early January and it has been a nightmare dealing with this dealership.
First of all, after having done some shopping and test driving, once I knew what I wanted I tried to reach the first salesperson I met, but he never returned my phone calls! The second guy was good but the organization is VERY dysfunctional. Where do I begin?
Because I live in NJ, there were some complications around the license plates. They needed a notarized document but I needed to find a notary to make this happen. They should have someone on their staff to take care of this sort of thing. But I was told by an insider «They won’t pay for the notary’s course…» What does that tell you? It took ONE MONTH to work this out!
Next I ordered a few accessories for my car. I was told to order them online and figured this would make it easy and I’d have my winter mats, etc., within a few days. Two weeks later I phoned the parts department and they said «Oh, we never suggest going online because the orders get lost in cyberspace.» Really? After Lincoln suggests that this is what one should do???
So they ordered them. The problem became, however, that:
1) I got the wrong mats. The mats received were for a Lincoln Navigator, not an MKZ.
2) The trunk liner didn’t fit because I have the hybrid and the hybrid battery takes up part of the trunk space.
So my assistant sent them back. I never heard anything and there have been no replies to my phone calls or emails — not even from the General Manager. So I have had to resort to calling my credit card company to get a refund.
WHAT’S THE PROBLEM HERE?
They say dysfunction starts at the top. I say they should all be fired.
I was a Lexus owner and NEVER had such an experience. I really expected more from Lincoln, but boy have I been disappointed.
I have since moved to Atlanta and sure hope I can find a better dealer for servicing. This one stinks!

After some initial miscommunications and confusion, these guys turned out to be pretty solid and more than made up for it.

Purchased an antenna average service friendly.
Did not wait long. Part was in stock.

I had a sudden coolant issue advices driving with my Jaguar in Manhattan and got towed to this dealership for service. They were very nice at first but kept my car for two days before I got a return call to let me know I could pick it up. They told me that they had repaired the vehicle so I picked it up.
TWO DAYS LATER I HAD THE EXACT SAME COOLANT ISSUE THEY SUPPOSEDLY REPAIRED! Turns out all they did was add coolant into my cracked container. They never checked anything. When it leaked out, I got stuck again and had to be towed again. This time I sent it to my fantastic dealership in White Plains and they fixed it properly within a few hours.
Heather, the service person at the NYC dealership, was impossible to reach and when I finally did, she gave me a story about my filter being clogged and full of mold. Turns out my model doesn’t even have that kind of filter. No apology. I suggest steering clear of this place.

Really great dealership. It’s a shame I didn’t buy my vehicle here after experiencing the top notch service and attention they had to offer. I was advised by Ford/​Lincoln corporate office to bring my new vehicle that was having a lot of electrical issues to them for service since my dealer wasn’t willing to properly take the time to fix the car properly. I was connected with Alan, one of the service managers there and he did a great job keeping me constantly updated about my vehicle and did what ever was with in his power realistically to make sure I was happy. I would not hesitate to go here when my car needs service in the future or possibly buy my next vehicle from them.

Absolutely third class dealership. The sales person was simply pathetic. On phone, I was told that they have Mazda3 i touring model and I confirmed it for 2 times. When I visited their shop, the sales person bluntly says that they dont have that model at all. They way he spoke was so irritating. He said why don’t you go to other dealer if you have found one already. On phone they promised that they will beat any quote from any mazda dealer and even give a 250 $ further rebate. But in reality, he says we don’t put any advertisement board here. So he was justifying that he was indeed right. I can’t believe such idiots are into business and that too in Manhattan!

I was offered a deal, in person, by Manhattan Automobile Company on a Ford Focus Electric. When I sat down to move forward on the deal, they tried to add $ 1000 due at signing on the basis of an unmet qualification in an ad for the car I had never seen. I filed with the Better Business Bureau; after which they responded, agreeing to make good on the original offer. However, again, when I arrived back in the dealership, the price was back up $ 1000 more. When I tried to get them back down, over the course of hours, they yelled at me and insulted me in front my mortified pregnant wife.

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the great service provided by Customer Service Manager Alan Bass to me over the past four years. He has consistently and courteously assisted me in every aspect of car maintenance and repair. He genuinely cares about his customers and continuously shows concern for their needs. For this i want to thank you. GO FORD!

Service Center only see $$$ signs… Took my car in for an emissions test and mentioned the check engine light was on. Doug Bertrand focused on repairs adding up to $ 2,400 and completely forgot about doing the emissions test! Thanks for the inconvenience.

Pretty simple. I did my research and knew which car I wanted and what a realistic price was to pay for it. None of the private leasing companies could give me the price I wanted so I decided to try direct.
After my initial inquiry, I was set up with a salesperson (Ali Zaidi) who met with me, took down the options I wanted (not an easy car to find) and we started to talk price. He beat all the prices I got anywhere else and essentially we agreed on the exact monthly price as well as out of pocket expenses. Then he said give him some time to find the car.
A week later, the papers were signed and I picked up my car. I paid exactly what was agreed upon and not a penny more. No catch, no hidden agendas. Simple, clean, and effective.
Ali is a great guy and the finance manager I worked with was not too pushy with the extra warranty options. He explained, I said no thanks, he said no problem.
Probably the least stressful car buying experience I’ve ever had or heard of.

I’d say the customer service at Manhattan Mazda is one step below that of the DMV.
Every individual I dealt with was rude, condescending and lacked basic manners. Not a caring face in the building, nor anyone that seemed happy to be there.
–After confirming the appointment online the night before and receiving confirmation, I arrived to find they didn’t have any record of it.
–After several calls to confirm they had both parts in stock, they told me 4 hours after I dropped off the car that one of the parts was actually out of stock.
–They «forgot» to apply the coupon I gave them. (They eventually did)
Next time I need a car, a repair, or a part, I will travel 10x the distance before I go to Manhattan Mazda.
You Suck Manhattan Mazda, and are a waste of prime Manhattan real estate!

In the words of Ron Burgundy … «well that escalated quickly». I walked into the Manhattan Auto Group on a Tuesday and by Thursday, I was rolling in my new 2013 Range Rover with all the bells and whistles I wanted. I wouldn’t have picked up some a pricey car if it wasn’t for the superior level of customer service and attention I received during my visit. Thanks to Pierre Noël for working with me. Several months in, I still love my car.

Concerned staff, all willing to help without the BS. Process was lengthy but easy. Great facility.

Manhattan Mazda — by far the absolute worst place to get your car ‘serviced’.
I went here for a simple alignment. They told me my car was in such bad shape (not true) that it needed $ 2,000 worth of work. I told them I’d pick my car up right away. Then they call me back and say: we can align it but it will take extra work, quoting me $ 100 more than normal alignment price of $ 149. For some reason I said go ahead. When I got my car back it was a little better, but still pulling, so first thing I check the tires. The air pressure on one side was jacked up to 50 PSI (not good for regular car tires where 32PSI is max recommended)!!! When I deflated the tires to normal, the car was just like when I brought it in. I don’t think they did a thing to adjust the alignment at all. Complete scammers who will lie to your face. Avoid them at all costs. If my tires had blown out (from over-​inflation) and someone got hurt, they would have had a law suit on their hands.
I ultimately got my car aligned at Midas in Queens for $ 99 and it drives fine again. They didn’t say a thing about my car needing any extensive work. I asked and they also said it didn’t look like anyone else tried to do any alignment work on it as the alignment nuts were pretty rusted and tight.
Since Brownfeld’s closed (he was so awesome), I don’t think there are any honest mechanics in Manhattan. If anyone has a good one, especially in the uws or mw area, pls message me.

This is literally the worst customer service experience I have had in years. Avoid this place and its service department rep Michael Holland at all costs. I dropped off my car and was told that I would get a call to let me know if it could be looked at that day or after new year’s. I never heard back, so after trekking back in the rain, I was brushed off and told to come back after new year’s. For a week after new year’s I heard nothing, and after calling a dead end voicemail system repeatedly I was not only told they hadn’t looked at it, they lost it! They literally lost my car.
Once they located the vehicle, I canceled my service request and just picked up my car.

It’s «déjà vu» all over again. This update begins exactly the same as it did in my second-​previous to this update on ¹²⁄₂₉ — that is, «Starting the engine was a huge disappointment tonight. The engine turned over twice, but didn’t start until the third time, when I gave it gas.» It stalled once after that then returned to normal, although there were times when I could have sworn that, both before AND after all these repairs, I actually saw the fuel gauge needle drop sharply! My Prime Directive was «make it like new.» The second bill of $ 1700 brought the total to $ 9400.
After replacing nearly every part in the vehicle, it might be the case that, the one part that WASN’T changed, might be the one that leads to the very death of the engine. It’s like having a brand new car that has a life-​ending problem. Every time I drive the car it’s like I’m playing Russian Roulette. I’m wondering if a friendly guy from south of the border offering free advice did get it right, after all, when he said the problem was the fuel pump.
This sporadic «automotive misbehavior» is so frustrating because those mechanics were so willing to change parts, yet ignore symptoms that I, alone have seen due to the long intervals between starting-​stopping-​driving — if they can even be trusted ON THAT, since the car WAS left with them for a total of about two weeks over the two times I dropped off the car at the Manhattan Ford dealership on Eleventh Avenue, and the head mechanic said he’d personally test-​driven it. Now, they will say, once again, «You have to bring it in and we’ll look at it.» How annoying can this get? It’s now at the limit!
And, the aforementioned «trust» problem has, again, reared its ugly head. Hey, and I can get into the self-​pity thing when called for: LIFE INDEED SUCKS! I need to try A & M Auto Repairs for the answer… so close, and yet…

…but, ya know, there is already too much negativity in my life (see my dentist reviews), and I just feel that I should give the above-​situation more time to play itself out, since maybe some freezing weather or other climatic anomaly, or the fact that I’ve only been driving the vehicle a few miles a day has something to do with the poor gas mileage and occasional engine sputter. So, we’ll see… meanwhile, I’m keeping four of the stars — for «fairness» — since there IS a new-​car, even luxurious «feel» about the smooth, firm contol and balance of the engine and suspension and racing vehicle-​like feel on things like grip on sharp turns and road-​hugging and stability on rough roads.

I took it out for a vigorous twirl around Manhattan’s FDR Drive and West Side Highway early in the morning and it was a thrilling experience with good gas mileage (20−25mpg) — a five-​star spin.

I have not been to every Ford dealer in the country, but I can say unequivocally — from my own experience and that of others — that this is the worst Ford dealership in the Tri-​State area of New York.
From an inability to do basic repairs to the horrible customer service — where you must keep hitting a button every minute for the privilege of waiting for their operators who ignore you, they suck at all levels.
And I’m not the only one who believes this
Stay away from them.
