Best Falafel in the city! This is a tiny place, always busy, very affordable! You just can’t go wrong for a quick bite!

Best falafel you will ever taste, best mango and mint lemonade you will ever drink, and most efficient and mannerly service you will ever experience! You have not lived until you have eaten at Mamoun’s!

Authentic and tasty. Love the shawarma, hummus, baba ghanoush. The pita is fantastic — soft, thin and delicious. Not a fan of mint or lemonade but their mint lemonade is pretty good. People who like that sort of drink love it.

A great little place with really good food. I came here around midnight and everyone around me looked drunk. I’m sure this is a great drunk food place. Sometimes food only taste good when you’re drunk but I was sober and this food was delicious. I got the Falafel and Chicken sandwich and both were mouth watering. I am a big chicken person but I liked the Falafel one better. The service was pretty quick and there is only limited seating available. The prices are very reasonable, my each sandwich was around $ 3.50 each. Definitely recommend this place and will go back in future.

Good portions, inexpensive, and very intriguing taste. Definitely come check this place out. I’m surprised I haven’t heard of it until a few days ago when my friend brought me here to take a break from studying. Mamoun’s Falafel has extensive menu options that has made me wanting to come back for more. You win… I’ll be back soon for sure. It may be small inside, limiting the chances of having good seating, but you can also bring your meal outside to the tables. Another noteworthy thing about them is they serve very fast, and even gives you a cup if you plan on filling it with water. Forgot to mention, BRINGCASH.

a staple of middle eastern gyros and falafel. the standard is high with lines often out the door. The food is freshly made to order and the portion size is filling for the average person. Often, I get the mixed sandwich mixing lamb gyro and falafel. the veggies are fresh, crispy and add a good balance of protein and veg to my visits. Their white sauce is tahini based and the hot sauce is strong enough to unload a volcano. Overall, a great hole in the wall for a quick gyro fix and make sure to bring cash only. p. s. their desserts such as baklava and Kataifi(i think that’s the correct name of the crispy noodles full of gooey sweetness) is delicious too…

Year after year, shwarma after dripping shwarma, Mamoun’s stays as superlatively delicious each and every visit. The falafel balls are perfectly crunchy and gritty, the tahini creamy and mouth-coating in the best way. Somehow Mamoun’s is run so well that it resists regression toward the mean. And the prices stay low. It’s one of those places that makes you proud to be a New Yorker. It’s just so, so wonderful. I’m feeling so many feelings right now.

One of the best uses for 3.50 you will ever find. A clean, tasty falafel sandwich that is the price of a coffee. The sandwich comes out extremely quickly with the perfect amount of sauce held in a warm bread of perfect consistency. I have had the shawarma as well, it is fatty with a perfect amount of crunchy char. Mamoun’s Falafel never disappoints! My only qualm is that I wish there was better distribution of vegetables and meat.

Open @ 1am, i’ll take that! Great tasting Shawarma and Hummus and a TODIEFORHOTSAUSE– plus points comes in bottles for purchases for home :) wasn’t really found of the pita bread, it was your local store bought pocket pitas :( if you cant shovel it down fast enough your pita will harden on you.

There’s not a single time Mamoun’s Falafel has disappointed my stomach. There’s also not a single time when I came here sober. That might explain why I’m so infatuated with this place. I always order the sandwich with Falafel, Hummus, and Baba Ganoush. $ 4 bucks and you’re good. TIP: If your drunk friend is falling asleep, give him a bit of the hot sauce. That’ll wake him up for sure because it’s spicy as hell.

This place has your typical Middle Eastern options and nice college friendly prices. Just perfect for the NYU students in the area. I had the chicken kabob sandwich. Solid portion and decent ingredients. Not good, not bad, just average.

Two words: cheap. Hummus. What’s not to love? I’m so glad i decided to try this place. Every time after yoga, I’m starving and always looking for something filling yet on-the-go and in my budget. this place checks all of that off the list. It’s known as a New York classic for its cheap falafels and hummus sandwiches. For $ 3.50, i’ll take it. Plus they’re incredibly speedy so it makes mcdonalds look like the slowest food in town. A must try for all hummus lovers!

Quick Mediterranean food, it’s been here forever, and it’s about $ 7. What else do you need to say? It’s really a lot of good food for the price. The falafel sandwich with hummus is popular and really great. It comes out in about 30 seconds after you order it. Don’t hesitate!

What can I say that hasn’t been said? Ok, let’s do bullet points — fast — cheap — TASTY — quality — open late I think they just hit the trifecta(fast, cheap, quality,) of NYC food service greatness, a rare treat in a pricey city.

Mamouns has THE best falafel. That’s not just me talking. It’s documented, cited, researched, and ‘double-blind’ verified as being the best. Seriously and amazingly delicious. And quick. And cheap. Just be careful of that enticing bottle of hot sauce crying out«squeeze me.» I have literally ruined an evening out eating too much of that stuff. I love hot, but it is fiery! Enjoy!

I was a big fan of this place. Good, cheap food open late. This time however, when i ordered a chicken sandwich, none of the pieces were cooked all the way through. Called in and was offered a new sandwich, but the employee on the phone didn’t seem very concerned

I’ve tried Mamoun’s Falafel in the West Village a while back and really liked it. I don’t know why but for some reason, I never went back. When I tried this East Village location, it was just as good as I remembered it. I had the falafel sammie — a pita stuffed with falafel, onion, lettuce, parsley, garlic, and tahini sauce. It can get messy though. I wish there was more falafel in there. It seemed like there was more lettuce in there than anything else. Next time, I’ll just have to get an extra side order of the falafel! Tip — don’t mess with the red sauce in the bottle. I stupidly doused my last bite of falafel with it because I didn’t know what it was and I wanted to try it. I didn’t like the flavor of it and on top of that, it was SUPER spicy. I had to get a mint lemonade just to cool off. The mint lemonade is really refreshing. It’s not too sweet or too tart. So really, my mouth being on fire was just a blessing in disguise. Had it not been on fire, I probably wouldn’t have ordered the lemonade!

Classic New Yorker Food. Cheap. Messy. Delicious. One of the best falafel joints, hands down.

It’s good, quick and cheap. What’s not to like? The shawarma is excellent and the falafel is damn good as well… But, is it better than Halal Guys? It’s certainly not the same stuff and not really comparable. However, it’s much faster and you don’t have to wait in a crazy line.
