Luzma Salon & Medi-Spa

Extremely disappointed I have been coming here for a couple of years and always refer my friends and coworkers. They are very attentive.
Last night I called to make an appointment for today at 11am, for my boyfriend. I clearly told the lady who I spoke with, which I believe is the owner, that he needed a hair cut and trimming on his beard if possible at 11am because he works at 12. We arrived exactly at 11am and the stylist wasn’t there because they confused his appointment times. She lives down the block and before she arrived I repeatedly asked if she does trimming on beard. He didn’t want her to line it up or anything just to trim it. She repeatedly stated that the stylist would arrive shortly.
After asking her if she could call the stylist to save both her and my boyfriend time by asking if she actually trims hair, the owner seemed to get pretty mad.
Then when she finally decided to call she made a remark about going to barbershop, I walked out.
I know I could go to a barber but he prefers salons. Talk about customer service and keeping your clients happy.
Definitely lost me as a customer and like they say bad recommendations spread faster than referrals.

Best Salon Spa in Queens!!!
The staff is just amazing!!! Luz Marina is one of the best aestheticians in the NYC. She is ultra professional and an amazing person. Her work ethics are impeccable. She pampers her customers and is always willing to listen to your questions and concerns. I do my facials, Brazilian wax and lymphatic drainage with her. This is the best facial you are going to get in town. I remember the first time I got one, she explained everything step by step. She is also up-​to-​date with the latest trends (stem cells creams, wood therapy, different types of facial massage). She explains all procedures and gives you tips on how to maintain your skin young and glowy.
Ricardo gives the best haircuts ever. He’ll give you suggestions on new styles and recommendations based on your hair type. He gives me a different cut every time I go to see him. He has been able to grow my hair from short to medium length (a daunting task because my hair is very thin and limp). He will do exactly what you request. He takes all clients by appointments and you do not have to wait for hours like in other salons.
Manuelita is another one of my faves. She is an awesome colorist and can give you a million dollar blow out. She is the only miracle worker that blows my oily hair to make it look full and it lasts for days.
I have done manis and pedis with the girls there but they are usually ultra booked (just because they are that good).They always make an effort to fit you in even if you don’t have an appointment.

I had surgery and consulted with Luzma for my post up. The attention I received from her was amazing. Her follow up was consistent. She made me feel at ease given the trauma my body had gone through. I can’t explain the talent this woman has. She obviously cares and takes pride in her work. Very talented in her field. I also had a series of facials which cleared my complexion a great deal. The team upstairs from Ricky to Allan, Manuela, Johnny and Marisel are all great within their area of expertise.
Since I had an extended post up I spent alot of time there and observed the very talented team. I strongly recommend Luzma Salon if you are looking for an easy going experience.

Luzma is a really great option if you’re in need of beauty services in the Queens area and you want consistent, good work. I have to admit, I can be a beauty snob so when my husband recommended this salon to me, I was hesitant because I am one of those people that thinks only fancy salons in the city can do a good job. Well I was wrong and I learned my lesson. I am so glad I listened to him — he tends to be right very often and this led me to Allan, who is a darling stylist and knows exactly what he is doing. Allan is fun, friendly and a total professional — he did the makeup for my mother, my sister and myself for my wedding and did an amazing job. All my guests complimented me on my hair and makeup for that day (he also did my mom’s hair and mine). Allan gives great guidance and also works with you to satisfy your needs — such as when I insisted that I wanted to use my own blush :-) He was also the first person to get my foundation 10 000% correct out of any time I’ve had professional makeup applied. I got some highlights and a couple blowouts before the wedding during my hair and makeup trial and a pre-​wedding haircut and he did a great job with those as well. I am impressed because it’s the longest-​lasting blow out I’ve ever had, I got lots of compliments on that too. The owner is a very friendly and accommodating. Definitely give them a shot if you’re in the area.

I went in yesterday to check out the services since I’m new to the area. Ricardo said he could fit me in a hour later for a haircut. He did an excellent job — listened to what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. He cut my bangs really well — probably the best I’ve had done in a really long time. He showed me how much he was going to take off before doing so, which was very considerate. He also did an amazing blow out and styled beautifully. I recommend.

Una vez que vas muy bien ya la segunda no te hacen el mismo corte ni nada de lo q te haces la primera vez. NO LO RECOMIENDO. suerte ;) espero mejoren
