Joyce, the laser technician, has 20 years spa experience. She is a licensed Cosmetologist and received her B. A in Psychology in 2008. Love Laser also offers skin tightening, pigmentation and vein removal, teeth whitening.

I had the chance to use Joyce’s services yesterday. I did laser before but nothing could compare with the experience I had at love laser. Joyce makes it painless, she is highly skilled and the machine she uses are brand new. Just had my first ever laser appt with Joyce after years of getting waxed! I had an awesome experience, Joyce was super friendly and very easy to contact and schedule with. She made me feel very comfortable with the whole process!
The facilities were very neat and clean which was nice :)
I went for a full brazilian laser as I had been getting waxed for years and wanted something more permanent. The treatment took literally like 5 minutes total, wow. And compared to waxing, the pain level was MUCH better! I do have a fairly decent pain tolerance but waxing is painful, and laser is a walk in the park in comparison. Some areas do sting (feels like getting snapped by a rubber band) but for the majority I honestly could not even tell when the laser was being applied. The cooling air really helps a lot! Also the pain does not carry over past the moment the laser is applied, which was great.
You are supposed to shave the area the day before the treatment and then about two weeks after, should start seeing the hairs shed by themselves. I am super excited for this lol. I cannot wait until I am free from those pesky hairs!
Price wise, Joyce was definitely one of the most reasonably priced practitioners, and at least compared to waxing I think it is definitely cheaper in the long run. I used to pay about $ 40 per waxing session once per every 4 – 6 weeks, which over the years definitely adds up! Laser treatments are about 6 weeks apart for about 4 sessions total, so more upfront but with more permanent results of course.
Overall, had an amazing experience and looking forward to the results! Thanks Joyce!

I went for my first laser treatment with Joyce this week. Not knowing exactly what to expect I was nervous, but right away Joyce put me at ease by thoroughly explaining everything! She has the gift of making you feel very comfortable!
I was really surprised that it didn’t hurt! She has a steam of cold air that blows where the laser is going, which numbs the treatment area. It just felt like light pinching, not bad at all!
I was recommended by a friend of mine and I am going to tell everyone I know!

I can’t even begin to express how happy I am with my results from Love Laser! It’s now been over 6 months and I am virtually hair free! Joyce is amazing and clearly knows what she’s doing. At this point I’m going in for some tiny areas where I still have a few hairs but I can for the most part go without shaving and there’s no hair! ! For anyone who’s contemplating getting laser hair removal I would definitely recommend it. Make sure that you find a person who knows what they’re doing. Before Joyce I spent a considerable amount of money on laser hair removal and was not happy with the unimpressive results. Who wants to spend time and money getting laser treatments and still be hairy? Love laser has a beautiful and convenient location but more importantly Joyce will get you results!

Joyce is amazing. She is patient, kind, flexible and, more importantly, soothing when you’re nervous about getting the goods lasered.
I have to say, for as scary as I initially thought it was going to be, Joyce put all my nerves at ease. She reminds me for my appointments prior to coming in (which is so helpful considering my phone broke with all my appointments in it!).
She know’s the importance of distraction when she’s working on you, and she really keeps good tabs on what you’ve said in previous appointments. I have to say, as corny as it is, every time I’m there, I feel like I’m visiting a friend… who else can say that???

Joyce is absolutely the best laser technician, hands down! She has a great heart and is always friendly. My first laser session was a lil scary but Joyce eased my worries. She is great on my african-american skin. Even though I am jumpy she will use gel or even slap my leg to make me feel comfy. Yes I said it SLAP, not hard though just to trick my mind. I love love love love Joyce. Don’t go anywhere but here. Oh and she also texts the day before to confirm which I love, you know how living in NYC can be, busy busy busy. Don’t mess with the rest mess with the best!

This is by far the best place I have ever been to for laser. Considering I’ve literally been to a dozen different places, that is saying something! It took a week and for someone else to cancel for me to get an appointment, but Joyce was nice enough to text me as soon as she had an opening.
The place was pretty easy to find and close to the subway. Joyce had just moved into her new space, so things were, understandably, a bit disorganized at first, but the hair removal procedure itself was great. Joyce was really friendly. She gave me some good advice on how to keep the hair from coming back quickly. She even offered to zap any stray hairs in between sessions for free. I think the best part was that Joyce really made me feel comfortable — she cares about her customers! I love, love, love that she uses cold air while she zaps, which makes the treatment so much less painful! Besides all that, the price cannot be beat — way cheaper than I’ve been paying over the years. I’m really thinking about doing another body part, because why not?

Let me first start off by saying that I specifically created a Unilocal account just so I could write a review for Love Laser!
I had thought of getting laser for a while, and when a friend mentioned she found Love Laser on Groupon we, along with my bf, decided to go for it. After reading the reviews I thought to myself this is the spot, everyone has so many good things to say, and let me tell you they’re right!
Joyce is great, so nice friendly and hilarious. I was feeling a bit sensitive and midway told her to forget the Brazilian and just do Bikini, and she was like c’mon you can do it. It was so much better than waxing, I mean why go through the yanking burning and tweezing for 30 minutes when you can just get laser for 10.
My bf got his face and neck done, and loved it. It’s only been a week but we feel like our hair is growing at a slower rate, which is great ’cause we’re both extremely hairy and need all the help we can get!
We all can’t wait for our next appointments and will definitely be recommending Joyce to anyone who wants to laser!

Joyce is friendly, professional, and does her best to honor her appointments. If she’s running late, she sends you a text. The room where she operates is tight and she is now in Suite 202 B which is a challenge to find the first time, but she examines your skin and eases you through the settings to insure a pain-free experience. With a cool blast of air to comfort your newly zapped skin, you can feel confident that she cares about your results as much as you do, if not more. You can’t beat her prices for the quality of laser that she uses. You may have doubts and ask: Are you Cynosure? Why, yes… I am… Do you see what I did there?

I got a Groupon deal to have laser done and not only did I get a great deal but great service as well. I’ve received 6 laser treatments and the results are fantastic. There is some discomfort in the process of getting lasered but Joyce does a great job distracting you from the pain or stop when needed. I’ve had laser treatment before and they’ve all been somewhat painful and the technicians rather pushy but with Joyce she is not pushy, takes her time and very informative. Her office is in renovations so it’s not as «chic» as other laser places but I rather pay for a good job done by a competent and experienced person versus a chic office done by people who care nothing for your results other than to make you keep coming back and spending money.

I have had laser performed at a few different places before going to Love Laser, but my experience with Joyce at Love Laser was the best!
Good laser results depend on two major factors: The right machine, and a good technician. Love Laser delivers both in spades.
First, the best tech can’t do you any good with the wrong equipment. Many spas are selling expensive laser packages with really cheap equipment. The average IPL laser machine is cheap enough to buy for home use, and is relatively ineffective. A new CynoSure (or GentleLase) ALEXANDRITE machine costs $ 100,000+. If you want results, ask what kind of machine they have. Joyce has a CynoSure, and the results are phenomenal.
As for Joyce, she is the most professional, sweet and considerate person you could imagine… someone you would enjoy chatting with just on a personal level. Her schedule was very accommodating, and she was meticulous and thorough in covering the areas we agreed to treat. She was generous with her treatment areas, and very reasonable in her pricing, especially considering the quality of her laser machine.
I am very pleased with the results, and highly recommend her!

About Joyce:
She’s friendly, accommodating, down to earth and a genuinely sweet person! She makes the process as comfortable as it can be for what she’s doing lol She truly cares about your results! She’s meticulous and thorough in her work and really wants to make sure you never have to shave again!
About the results:
I had three sessions at another salon and four here. I saw the best results after the treatments with Joyce. I came in for a fourth touch up session where she made sure to get every area. If it’s possible she’ll do the highest setting possible to make sure you’ll have permanent results.
Needless to say I HIGHLY recommend love laser! Most places don’t care about your results but here it’s top priority to make sure you’ll never have to pick up a razor again! So happy with my results for Brazilian I will soon be starting my legs to be on the way to totally hair free!

I visited Love Laser a few months ago after consulting my BFF, Unilocal,for good laser spas in Midtown West. Joyce is the best; she’s knowledgeable, patient and meticulous and I always enjoy chatting with her. Also, she’s always very accommodating with appointment changes and the services are reasonably priced. I’ve had three treatments so far and I definitely see results.
NOTE: She’s now in Suite C on the second floor of the same building. If you go up the stairs, you will see her suite.
