Established in 2010.

L.M. Cohen & Co. was established to provide efficient and expert solutions to businesses and individuals. Our mission statement is «Accounting Redefined». We strive for the perfect balance of personal attention and professional expertise in order to deliver the highest quality service.

Our founder, Lee M. Cohen, graduated New York University in 1993 with a degree in accounting. Upon graduation he worked as a controller for a retail chain of stores where he gained invaluable business experience, which continues to help our clients because he understands what it means to be a business owner, not just an outsider looking in.

In 1999 he joined a mid-​sized accounting firm as a partner, where he opened and successfully ran the New York City office of the firm. In 2006, he joined another mid-​sized firm in New York City, where he was a prominent partner for four years until he ventured on his own to start L.M. Cohen & Co.

Lee C.

Business Owner

Lee M. Cohen, graduated New York University in 1993 with a degree in accounting. Upon graduation he worked as a controller for a retail chain of stores where he gained invaluable business experience.

Lee began building his practice in 1995 while maintaining jobs at two accounting firms where he became certified in 1998.

In 1999 he joined a mid-​sized accounting firm as a partner, where he opened and successfully ran the New York City office of the firm. In 2006, he joined another mid-​sized firm in New York City, where he was a prominent partner for four years until he ventured on his own to start L.M. Cohen & Co.

Lee is actively involved in his community by serving as Treasurer of Sephardic Bikur Holim and he advises many other

not-​for-​profit institutions.

He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPA’s.
