I don’t know if people look for eye doctors on Unilocal,but Dr. Lipton and his staff need to be given 5 stars somewhere.
One morning I woke up with excruciating pain in my left eyeball. I flipped out from not being able to keep my eye open under normal lighting conditions without feeling like it was being smushed by a brick. I dialed up a bunch of local opthamologists but they were all fully booked for days.
For some reason when I was told the same by Dr. Lipton’s receptionist, I mentioned that I was in extreme pain and asked her if I could hang-​out in the waiting room in case someone else didn’t make their appointment. With virtually no hesitation she very warmly told me to come in right away and assured me that Dr. Lipton would see me immediately.
Despite diagnosing me with a corneal ulcer, Dr. Lipton put me at great ease with his delicate treatment of my debilitating ocular condition, and he was quite persuasive when explaining why going to sleep every night with the same pair of contact lenses for a month isn’t optimal. The doc also prescribed me some magical eye-​drops that were just ridiculous — a few drops made all the pain go away within a half hour. I think I accidentally drank some too!
