Enjoyed watching the NYC ballet’s performance of Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Koch Theater. Pictures outside by the fountain at Lincoln Center was beautiful and memorable.

Well kept, nice venue. Subway stop right out front. Interesting fountain out front, worth watching, it is programmed like fireworks. Pretty comfortable seats, nice acoustics. There are boxes. Need more restrooms. When I was there, there was a nice display of paintings on the lounge area. It does hook onto a parking garage.

A wonderful venue to see a concert by the New York philharmonic. The acoustics are amazing and the seats are comfortable but the interior could use an upgrade.

I’ve been to Lincoln Center several times, mostly to the Metropolitan Opera House to see the opera Carmen and a few performances by the American Ballet Theatre, and once to the David Koch Theatre to see the NYC Ballet. If you’re a student, you can purchase tickets to the Met Opera House at a discounted price(for about $ 20 – 25 each) and sit in the Family Circle. Same thing if you buy tickets via the«29for29» deal(if you’re 29 years old or under, tickets can be purchased for $ 29 from the box office the same day of the show). The seats are pretty high up, but it’s still worth it. When the weather’s nice, the square really comes alive, as people hang out by the terrace, the fountain, or on the balconies during intermission. Always a nice night out!

Fantastic venue for art & culture, this is a combination of many buildings and the surrounding plazas. While there is something left to be desired with the food options in the area, you are really here for the plays, music, ballet, opera, and so many other performing arts. Stop by to watch the winter Nutcracker, the summertime fountains, and the many theater performances by groups great and small. You may also reserve various portions of the venues for corporate and personal events — seen a few weddings in the plaza and been to a couple celebrations for charity events in these buildings. Small, relatively comfortable high-school auditorium-like seating(unless you’re lucky enough to be in a box), but it is rare to have a bad seat. Great acoustics, and lots of visitors strolling the walkways and joining you for the shows.

I’ve always wanted to see something, anything really, at Lincoln Center! I just wanted to see the inside and experience it. I always plan ahead and the week we were to be in NYC, IL Trovatore, an Italian opera, was performing. The closest thing I’ve seen to anything operatic was The Phantom of the Opera at The Orpheum, in San Francisco. Being a virgin to the opera scene I was both excited and weary. We had come, via taxi, from an early dinner at Candle Café West and walked up to the grand entrance. We were giddy with anticipation. The lobby was tastefully decorated. We made our way to the bar and purchased a few glasses of champs before we found our seats. The seats were comfortable and easy, as each one was equipped with its own tiny monitor that displayed the subtitles when the show began. Genius design! You didn’t notice the monitors of others, and could switch yours off if you found it distracting. The performance was good, but I guess I’m not an opera guy(yet ?) It was quite warm inside, and after the meal and champagne I dozed off a few times. I would love to come back here, and try another opera or another show that’s more my style. People dressed up for the most part but I did notice a few people in sneakers?! I’m all for being relaxed, but come on, make a little effort. It is the opera…

Absolutely loved the King & I. It was beautiful and everyone was incredibly talented including of course the orchestra. The seats are a bit tight but loved the extendable stage at this theatre. Absolutely recommend this performance!

I have been to Lincoln Center many times to see the Show Shen Yun over the past couple years. These performances are much more than traditional Chinese dance, so much talent and skills left me incredibly impressed, these dancers are among the World’s top classical Chinese dancers with a live orchestra blending both western and Chinese classical instruments. Wonderful costumes and backdrops illustrating different acts. I felt transported into another world altogether. I can’t wait for their next show in March.

The«The King and I» was a spectacular show filled with surprises. I never saw a better show at Lincoln Center and I didn’t think it was possible for the stage to pop out. It was just such an experience for me and my father to go see such a romantic show and actually enjoy it. We sipped on whiskey before the show went in and the stage pop right out at us, with a huge boat on top, carrying the female lead. Not only that but the pit orchestra was actually in a pit. The theater for«The King and I» is amazing. Go see it!

What more is there to say? Lincoln Center gives you access to just about any form of performing arts you can ask for, theater, ballet, orchestra, opera, etc. I’m lucking enough to visit quite often and have viewed many different performances. I’ve always been incredibly impressed and satisfied with the level of professionalism of each group of performers. Especially now, after the remodeling, the center is far more pedestrian friendly, with easy access to the surrounding eateries and shops. One could easily make a day out of a trip to the Lincoln Center area between catching a performance, having a meal, and enjoying the fountain and raised park!

I’ve been to Lincoln Center many times(mostly for Shakespeare — I think the first time may have been when Ethan Hawke appeared in Henry IV circa 2003?), but recently I caught the New York City Ballet performing The Nutcracker and fell in love with Lincoln center all over again. First, it seems like this is one of the few places left in the city where jeans are not appropriate evening attire. Broadway went to jeans years ago, but I was disappointed to find Carnegie Hall has went the way of the casual even on Saturday nights!(But don’t let that stop you from hearing the magnificent Orpheus Chamber Orchestra). Second, the David H. Koch theater has no bad seats. We had 1st ring for this performance, but we went up to the other areas to look around and the views were great. Also, even on the coldest evening of the season, the perfect temperature allowed us to take advantage of coat check and be wonderfully comfortable throughout the evening. Third, it’s the New York City Ballet! I’ve seen the American Ballet Theatre perform Swan Lake at the Metropolitan Opera, but have never had the opportunity to see the City Ballet… and to experience them perform this particular classic favorite was delightful.

I equate Lincoln Center with the very best of performing arts in NY. Such a peaceful place. Lovely fountain. Check out the Chagall murals in the Met Opera House. You have so many choices here: from taking a relaxing stroll, to opera, ballet, dance, theatre, the NY Philharmonic, dancing outdoors, jazz, etc, etc. Year round, you’ll have a memorable experience. Plenty of bus and subways close by, and excellent dining options.

Such a beautiful space in New York. It’s an architectural masterpiece with its open stairs, fountain, and cohesiveness of the building designs. It’s the center of opera, various shows, and music education because Juilliard is here. A great place to visit.

This is one of my stops on my Manhattan visitor tour. Everyone likes to see the dancing fountain at Lincoln Center. This whole area has been completely remodeled to make it people friendly. I wander around here in the summer finding areas I haven’t seen. Fountains are huge and beautiful. Close by you have Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Library for the Preforming Arts, the Ballet, the Opera, Universities, colleges, shopping and more. You can spend the whole day.

I have seen many great productions here. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that in one of the theaters the seats and aisles are much too narrow to be comfortable.

I probably come here at least once every other month. So many activities, plays, ballet, and opera/orchestra playing that there is never a dull moment when one visits the Linc Center. Most recently, Lapin and I came here to see the Big Apple Circus, yes — it’s meant for kids but I am a child at heart. Unlike, other performances I seen, the circus in the empty space between two buildings — which means port-a-potty-a-galore…The circus itself was okay, but geared to a younger audience. Worth a visit, if you never been and if you can score a deal.

Lincoln Center is a stunning area in NYC. It’s beautiful any time of the day but really takes your breath away at night time with the buildings lit up and the fountain lit up. The pavilion is really beautiful from all angles, especially the promenade on the second floor of the Kosch building(or the second floor of any of the buildings really). The interior of the Kosch building is sophisticated and refined in design. It is very beautiful inside. Lincoln Center is the host of many different arts. If you get the chance and have the money, I highly recommend going to see a show here at least once. You can make it a fancy evening on the town!

It’s the best, year round hands down. The center need no reviews or intros it has been a cultural hub of excellence as theater, dance, opera, philharmonic Mecca. Located near Julliard the whole hood is teaming with talent and can be seen posing, playing or just hanging out near the fountains and still pool. There is a season for everything and here too look for ballet to Opera to theater and concerts for each station of the year. Tip: If you are a tourist book out tickets now as try go fast. And splurge on a great seat. Restaurants(shameless plug: see my reviews on each) to go to: In the plaza: Lincoln Ristorante The Grand Tier(must have opera ticket to find here) Across the street: Everything else: Boulud(3 options) Atlantic Grill Shun Lee Up a few blocks: Telepan Down 57: Marea

Saw the King and I recently, as well as participating in the Shinnyo Lantern Lighting Festival. Lincoln Center does draw a more refined crowd, but the area is spectacular at night. I love sitting by the Reflecting Pool, dining at Lincoln Ristorante, or sitting by the fountain. Definitely try to see a performance here, especially if you’re a visitor of New York! It’s spectacular. And do yourself a favor and dress up for a special occasion.

The review is for The Metropolitan Opera Summer 2015HD festival that is currently being held in the quadrangle section of Lincoln Center. We watched last night’s Carmen as being presented on its second night. As a theater fan, I love their idea of giving everyone a chance to leisurely enjoy the opera plays in the past via a HD theater size screen outdoor placed in front of the opera theater. Thousands of seats are neatly arranged up to the fountain and leave half of the ground for people’s own discretion either bringing own chair, or sit on the ground or remain standing. A tip… got to be early to get good seating. People saved seats for their company ahead of time. Seating area were divided into two groups, like an orchestra and balcony kinda set up on a street level There were special seats for deserving patrons in the front. Guess what? There were playbills distributed by the sponsors. The event was guarded and secured. Lighting system was fine. The sound system was audible enough even staying all the way in the back near the street line(visually of course need to deal for disturbances). Weather last night(full moon night !) was perfect for the outdoor event. Have I mentioned it was a FREE event? I’ll definitely come back for the experience.

The plaza at Lincoln Center is always very iconic NYC. It’s beautiful during the day as well as at night. The theatres at Lincoln Center are all huge but sometimes it leaves me feeling cold. because of the huge size of the theatres. Some of the buildings haven’t been changed inside for a long time. It’s just a personal thing, I wish some of it was updated. The bathrooms are old too. But I love this place anyways. When you come to Lincoln Center, you just feel like you have to get dressed up.

Lincoln center out of doors brings in new /up and coming as well as iconic performers. The audience is a vibrant example of how the arts bring us together and how interconnected we are. Where else would you see a Black, a Puerto Rican, a Jewish and a Japanese woman grooving right next to each other to Pete Rodriguez’s «I like it like that»?

Just saw the Mostly Mozart performance a few days ago conducted by Luis Langree. It was amazing. I caught the first show of several they have lined up for summer. I’m not sure who is playing the rest the shows, but Emanuel Ax and Erin Morley were a great combo. I don’t go to these shows that much but you can’t go wrong with Mozart at Lincoln Center.

A few weeks ago, we saw Danny Elfman’s Music From the Films of Tim Burton. The show really delivered, and it seemed like there wasn’t a bad seat in the whole house. The Lincoln Center is an awesome venue for any type of performance. I highly recommend you check it out!

Wir haben uns im NYC Ballett The Nutcracker angesehen. Einfach toll.
