Its a deli, its a grocery store, in NY they call these places flat out Bodegas. Its a local business version of 7 – 11 except without the slurpees and fancy corporate logos. All in all, Liberty Bagel Deli is about as average of a bodega as these places can get. The service is friendly and the selection is about what one would expect. Prices aren’t that cheap as I have a feeling many of the products sold here are marked up considerably more than your Trader Joe’s, Gristedes, etc. down the street. Credit cards are accepted but like all local places like this, there is a minimum(of $ 10 in this case) to be met. I’ve tried their actual bagels on several occasions and each time I’ve come away remarkably unimpressed.
