Learn2Dance With Shani Talmor

I got a package deal through living social and wasn’t too sure what to think because I could not find any reviews good or bad about this place. The price was great but the problems began when I tried to communicate with the instructor Shani Talmor. She was very hostile and thought really highly of herself. On the voucher it said I could register online which I prefer but her website had no such option. Then I called her and I never received a call back. Emailing her was the third and final step but that is when the problems began, I am a beginner and thought it would be fun to sign up for Salsa but this person sucks any fun out of the dance. Her emails were filled with grammatical mistakes and confusing to say the least. She couldn’t even communicate that they were cycles to the class, if you miss one class you miss steps and they were no recaps. I found out the hard way when I went to the Tuesdays class even though I signed up for the one on Thursday. She told me I was «ONLY» allowed to come on Tuesday. I had missed the first class but had emailed her that I would be absent which is more than enough for a dancing class considering this isn’t college but just plain old fun. Wrong! She kept on attacking me throughout the class and singling me out. I had asked her in advance if I could wear sneakers and then she kept on bringing up the fact that I shouldn’t have worn sneakers not even in private but in front of the whole class. Very vulgar and unbecoming. At one point my partner shook his head and was like that misstep wasn’t yours but mine. The fact that she had a thick accent and at times couldn’t even verbalize the next step wasn’t exactly helpful either. I even tried to address this later after class and via email, she just attacked me with emails upon emails of incorrect grammar and bad spelling. Plus she had no clue what I was talking about and at one point admitted it. Beware! If you get on her bad side for what ever reason she’ll attack you verbally and become very biased. I don’t know where she is famous but any work she has done I never heard of and what work I did find on her resume wasn’t really impressive. Frankly I don’t find it flattering being in such a combative environment. One word describes her «antagonistic». Suffice it to say I called living social and complained. They told me that they were a source for new businesses and start ups. They couldn’t guarantee how great the service would be. Any future purchases were no longer made with living social.
