Dr. Mauer is honestly a genius. He is an incredible talent who has the best bedside manner. Truly unique!

Dr. Mauer is the only doctor I will ever let touch my face. He is an incredible injector with a natural aesthetic eye for beauty. I have read some of the negative reviews on here and I am appalled. Obviously those people were looking for Mr. potato-​head stuck on facial features or cheap prices that come with non-​caring prices. If you’re looking to look naturally gorgeous, this is the place for you.

Love my lips. Love my face. Thank you Dr. Mauer. I went to dr M for years. I’ve had filers and Botox. I have to be honest and say I strayed for awhile. I’ve never been happy or felt as good until I found my way back to Dr Mauer.
He took his time and sculpted my face. 10 years gone just Ike that. No rushing. A lovely staff. A beautiful clean office and a happy girl. Thank you Dr M.

Went with a friend– she got the work done. He didn’t once discuss price, was quick and didn’t like being asked questions. Thought my friend totally wasted $ 4000. Best is, his office will call and hound you to come in and spend more. I’ve never heard of any reputable Dr. calling you constantly to tell you you need more work. He sure knows the suckers. My Dr would never call me. I call him when I feel I’m ready for an appointment.

Love my lips done by Dr. Mauer. Just enough plump to look natural. Not only does he do the lips, he artistically blends it in with the rest of the face to avoid that «Mrs. Potato Head» look aka just stuck on look. He fills in the rim of the lip for nice definition… He’s done other fillers for me and I have never gotten so many compliments on my face! Thank you, Doc!

I have been seeing Dr. Mauer for over 5 years after a friend of mine referred me to him to fix a botched botox experience that left my eyebrows flat from a previous doctor. Dr. Mauer explained to me that the other person who injected me, only injected problem areas as opposed to balancing out the entire forehead. 3 days later after the botox kicked in, my arches returned. I was thrilled! Since then I’ve had fillers and more botox injected. My friends keep commenting how young I look, and when I tell them I had injections done at Laserx, they couldn’t believe it because my face looked natural. The fact that no one could tell I had work done is a sign that I went to see a true artist. Most women I see walking down Park Avenue have frozen faces, or lips that are overly done. Dr. Mauer prides himself on his work looking natural. I don’t get the negative reviews, If you want to look like a freak show, don’t bother going to Dr. Mauer, go somewhere else! Dr. Mauer prides hiimself on his work. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences at his office. I have recommended him to all of my friends and they all love his work!

I will echo the same sentiment expressed by another reviewer which sums up my experience with Dr. Mauer:
WE SHOULDN’T BE CHARGED EXTRA TO FIX YOUR INITIAL MISTAKES.
I went to LaseRX in December for a «consultation» re marionette lines. A few days earlier I’d spoken to his assistant who asked the absolute max $$ amount I can spend, and I said 3K. Sitting in the Doc’s chair I was being quoted work for EXACTLY 3K (not $ 2800, not $ 2999, first RED Flag.) You’re going to «look like a baby», he said.
On my way out I was told that if I leave a positive review on Unilocal (within 24 hours, when no results are visible just yet), I will receive $ 50 off my next visit. RED flag #2. A good business doesn’t need to pay for reviews.
I very shortly realized that after all that $$$ and unduly pain I looked exactly the same as before. a lil research, and a mini-​heart attack later I found out the treatment I received is gradual and requires multiple rounds (never mentioned.) This is when LaseRX explained to me for the first time that I just have to be patient (6 weeks min) and that Dr Mauer intended to give me a «base» that we can later build on. a base? problem: I didn’t ask for no base, I asked for marionette lines to be fixed. But I did wait, it’s now THREE months later, zero results, except if one considers the two Sculptra nodules growing on each side of my face results.
I did go for 2 more free «touchups» at LasrRX where I asked for a filler more suitable for getting the initially requested work done, but I was overruled by the «human artist» and convinced that MORE Botox would do the trick. When it didn’t, my «exceptionally strong» DAO muscle was to blame. I did consult with another reputable NYC doc who said that was just total hogwash, and a filler was the way to go from day 1.
on my third follow up with Dr Mauer, he shockingly asked for MORE money to fix what he never got right the first 3 attempts. see response to negative review below «1÷5÷2015 We DO guarantee our procedures!» trust me, they don’t.
Consultations are meant so that the doctor LISTENS/​evaluates and if the patient has crazy unrealistic expectations, he should turn that patient away, not take their money only to later ask for more to address the same initial concern. It’s very insulting that this Dr only cares about money (his, my loss is so very irrelevant) and reviews (fake or real), not the quality of his work.

I had a very traumatic scar left on my nose from an accident last year and was referred to Dr. Mauer for treatment. He performed a procedure on the area and it looks amazing! It’s only actually been a week and everyone is telling me they can’t even tell there was anything there. I’m so grateful for his work and he really really cares about his patients. It was such a relief to feel that my face was in good hands and I could trust his opinion because I’d been to a lot of doctors who left me with little hope. His staff is also super friendly and helpful. The assistant who was there during my surgery even held my hand (I’m terrified of needles) and gave me her cell phone # to text her if I had any questions.
I would highly recommend him and will definitely be back to have other treatments. THANK YOU DR. MAUER!

**SECOND UPDATE**
It is clear that my review has upset the business owner. That was not my intention (nor am I working for another spa — or any other type of business that I review).
I have been honest in my feedback. There was no initial consultation, so that part of the lengthy response doesn’t apply to my situation. I did, however, go to the office twice and received two treatments. The experiences on both of my two visits to the office were decidedly negative, which is why I felt compelled to review. (You can tell by the frequency that I’m not in the habit of spending my time on this.) This is not bullying. It’s just a documented unfavorable experience.
I stand by what I’ve reported. I also accept that this may not have been typical to the establishment — other reviews suggest so — but I don’t wish to be challenged on my experience any further. I hope this will end the exchanges and that the business will cease contacting me.

I am extremely pleased with my visit to Dr. Mauer today. He sat with me for an hour during my consultation last week, explaining each and every possible treatment and the result it would likely produce. During the procedure he made me feel very comfortable, once again going over the procedure, the innovative tecqunique he would use and the intended results. .. he even put on a movie for me to watch while he worked. I saw results immediately and he was confident that the results will improve in the coming weeks. No pain and no bruising at all. He is certainly an artist as advertised and seems to be on the cutting edge of the latest injectable information and technology as that is all he does. His staff was equally as helpful and put me at ease before, during and after my procedure. I highly recommend this office as it was comfortable, professional and affordable. I look forward to the results!

When you first walk into Dr. Mauer’s offices, not only are you greeted by the very lovely and warm staff, you are in a beautiful surrounding. Dr. Adam Mauer is a gentle caring doctor who listens to your concerns. He will not do any unnecessary treatments. He is honest and caring. I am so happy with my results.

I went to this Doctor for Fraxel, and he and his assistant said I really needed fillers so I spent $ 1500 (more than the $ 450 I originally signed up for). Long story short, he put fillers under my eyes that made my eyes puff up and after a few weeks, I went back to get it fixed. He then took too much out of one eye, and filled with something else and charged another $ 1500 to «fix» his original mistake. $ 3.000 later, I still had under my eyes lopsided and never fixed. He also doesn’t tell you how much he’s charging until they are finished and uses your face to play around with his so called «artistry». Been to many doctors for fillers, would never go to this Doctor again. Overcharges and I never got what I went there to begin with.
We shouldn’t be charged extra to fix your initial mistakes.

I couldn’t ask for a better doctor. He listens to you, understand exactly what is it that you are looking to get and then deliver it to you in the best way he can. He was very friendly with me which is very important for me when I go to a doctor and that he is not cold to you. After I finished my first treatment with Dr. Adam I felt like he became my friend and I think that this is how it should be when you go to a doctor. I would recommend him for any friend of mine because I know that when they will see him for a treatment they will be very satisfied.

Dr. Adam Mauer truly is an artist. I have been to some of the «best» doctors in the city and they just don’t compare.
I have been a patient of his for 3 years now and I look younger now than I have in years. Also, for some reason my results from fillers last longer. The icing on the cake is that his prices are much more affordable.
I’m not out looking for a bargain when it comes to my face but we all have budgets that we want to stay within. I tell him mine and he does what he needs to do to make me look great! I have learned to completely trust his judgement. I’ll never go anywhere else.

I had 2 fraxel restore treatments performed by Carmen F. the medical esthetician. Carmen was very kind and professional. She took her time during the procedure to ensure optimal results. Overall I was very satisfied with the experience.

I was there for a fraxel treatment last year around June. I bought the treatment from groupon and the price was really good. Dr. Adam Mauer is knowledgeable and professional. He gave me a free consultation before the treatment and told me how the fraxel will be proceeded. He did told me that I didn’t need fraxel but I since I insisted he had done the treatment for me. Still, I have been to other dermatologist offices for laser treatments before but this one is the most professional and Dr. Adam Mauer is the best I have seen. Highly recommend him.

I’ve been going to Dr. Adam Mauer for about 5 years for Botox and fillers. I have to say that I have strayed a couple of times to test the waters. But Dr. Mauer is the best by far. A true artist. Very reasonable rates. This location is clean, quick and professional.
