I been at this restaurant few times, since it is close to work, the food is ok and the service is friendly. Do not expect the best lasagna ! But over all is good

After a long and exhausting day of exploring we were famished and a little grumpy. We needed serious provisions and this place did not disappoint. This is basic Italian pasta dishes and accompanied with a bottle of wine your meal will hit the spot. We were satisfied and happy. Gluten free pasta available here

Note: This review is purely for their brunch. I am only a little bit kidding when I say that I will never go anywhere else for bottomless brunch ever again. Lasagna is where it’s at. Add $ 9 to your $ 16-ish entrée and you get bottomless breakfast drinks, ranging from the boozy mimosas, bellinis, screwdrivers, and bloody marys, to the traditional coffee, tea, and orange juice. What? We came with a group of 20 or so people(with a reservation of course), and they were so accommodating, so attentive, and so patient. Rarely did we need to wave the server over to refill our glasses. Several times, I looked up at my bellini(which is absolutely delicious, by the way) to find it refilled already. The food portions are a bit meager, I will say. But the food itself was great. I ordered a very yummy Italian sausage Frittata, which is basically a more unhealthy version of an omelette. It could’ve came with a bit more home fries, but eh, there was some garlic bread to balance it out. The garlic bread is not mind-blowing, by any means, but I appreciated that it was complimentary, even for brunch. Did I mention that they let us stay for 2.5 hours? This could’ve been because we were with a large party, but $ 9 for bottomless drinks for 2.5 hours is impossible to beat. Don’t worry, Lasagna, I will be back with more friends in tow for another epic boozy brunch.

I didn’t end up getting lasagna so I can’t write a review based off of that. I got the tortellini soup and when it arrived it looked watered down. It tasted like someone put way too much water into a soup mix and there were pieces of herbs randomly floating in it that weren’t sauteed or cooked at all so the flavoring was very off and it tasted very watery. I also got the arugula salad and immediately regretted it. Plain arugula with two wet pieces of sun dried tomato laid across the top that look like they came out of a can. Didn’t even eat them. Arugula taste was fine but there was nothing in this salad worth ordering again. I’ve had 100x times better salads at diners. Was very disappointed I wasted money on this lunch after I left.

The waiter was not very welcoming as soon as we sat down for the unlimited brunch. We asked him what the time limit was for the brunch. He responded that there was a 2 hour limit, unless if you finish your food early then you have to leave right after because they get very busy. However, the entire time we were there the restaurant did not fill up all the seats and it never got super busy! Also, we waited a very long time for a cold meal. As soon as we finished our meal, he rushed us to get out of the restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant for the unlimited brunch to anyone.

The staff was super friendly and food came out fast, which is great for lunch. They have table and bar seating and accept all forms of payment. This would be an alright date place as it’s not overly stuffy. They were very flexible with my order(gave me vegetables instead of mash). The portion was large(two chicken breasts). The sauce on the chicken was excellent. The garlic bread was interesting — it wasn’t baked there and wasn’t the best ever but I liked the butter and herbs they put on it. I was seated right away for lunch. I will eat here again

Visiting from out of town for xmas. We found this place via Unilocal for dinner before the christmas spectacular. We expected a bit more of handmade/homemade items. The garlic bread is really good. Mozzarella sticks were the kind you get in a giant box at costco. $ 9.95 for 5 with blah marinara. I ordered the tortellini soup, which was just ok. My husband ordered the sirloin lasagna. We found it to be a bit runny and just ok. I expected a chunkier marinara with a thicker layer of ricotta. Overall disappointment. Ambiance was nice with good staff. The vanilla and chocolate ice cream dessert was good, but another item I think is purchased from a vendor.

Im a restaurateur. I owned many restaurants in NYC. Not like these UnilocalERS that go out and think they are food critics. I was at Lasagna restaurant last week and couldn t get my ass to the computer to write them a review until now. First of all this place should be called PLANETLASAGNA because it was the best in the world. I had the classic meat lasagna and the cheese was melted to perfection. The pasta was Al Dente. Thats almost impossible when making lasagna. Well… They perfected it ! BRAVO !

Good Italian restaurant in Midtown East. My girlfriend and I have come here twice — most recently this past weekend. It is relatively close to where I work, which makes it a nice option for dinner. We were able to make reservations for around 7:30 pm via OpenTable with ease. This worked out well considering the restaurant became busy during our meal. The restaurant has a nice ambience. Seating is tighter near the front but opens up once you get past the bar. The service is satisfactory. Our waiters have been friendly and the food has come out within a reasonable timeframe, though it took a while to receive our check during our last visit. The food is good. I ordered the sirloin lasagna while my girlfriend tried the fusilli with chicken in a pink sauce. The lasagna came out hot and left me full — both compliments in my opinion. The fusilli was fairly comparable to other restaurants we have tried. This is a good option if you are in the area looking for standard Italian fare in a casual setting. I am sure we will be back sometime soon.

Really good sirloin lasagna. Really cute atmosphere and everything. The staff was really helpful and had lots of suggestion. I usually ask a lot of question and the waiters was great with me.

The food here is consistently good, but it’s just not mind blowing. I think I need a little more spice in my Italian food, and this tends to be more plain tomato sauce… which if you like that… is quite good. Have to say, there is nothing spicy about their spicy penne a la vodka. Recently I ordered the appetizer of eggplant parmesan, and it was the same size as a regular entrée. The service was warm and friendly here.

Service was attentive, friendly, and great with suggestions. Can’t go wrong with bottomless drinks for brunch and a great selection of breakfasts from pancakes to eggs served a variety of styles. Can get crowded and a bit rowdy so not the place for an intimate gathering.

Live across from lasagna and have gone 5⁄6 times. Nori, the manager, is very friendly and welcoming! Had penne with chicken, Caesar salad, and of course the lasagna. Very good food, service. The garlic bread is fabulous! A little loud at times but I like this place!

This is more of a casual restaurant and can get a bit crowded at times. The last time I went there I ordered their ground sirloin lasagna, and I can honestly say it was not that amazing. Remind you, I am only talking about what I ordered. The only good thing I can say about this place is that they have one of the biggest selections of lasagna than almost anywhere I know. I would recommend people to give this place a shot.

We came here for brunch. The waitresses were attentive. I got an egg white spinach, asparagus and feta frittata. It came with potatoes. My friend ordered the blueberry pancakes. The pancakes were flavorful and a bit crunchy. They were very good. I’d recommend it for brunch!

Came in for dinner for my friend’s bachelorette party and had a great time here. It’s a great intimate Italian restaurant on 2nd Avenue. Our server was incredibly prompt and friendly and I would absolutely come back. We split the mozz stick appetizer. The consensus was that the food was really good. I ordered the chicken francaise with a side of linguine. The sauce on the pasta was absolutely delicious. The chicken was cooked well and the sauce was very good as well. I would have preferred a little more, just as personal preference. They allowed me to bring in a cake, phallic shaped as it was, but as a heads up they do charge a $ 25 «cutting fee’ even though they didn’t do any cutting. As I said, I’d come back if I were ever in the area or just as a new spot to go for date night.

I went for their boozy brunch with a 9 other people. They told us we would get unlimited drinks, then changed their minds and decided since we came late(2:45 and brunch is not served after 4) that they would let us stay until 4:15. The food was nasty. I was drinking and still didn’t want it. And I eat hot dogs off the street when I’m at that state. It came while I was still sober so it wasn’t an inebriation issue. I got a frittata. It was powdered eggs with plastic cheese on it, and the gnarliest meat I’ve encountered outside of an international flight. The drinks were watered down, which is obnoxious because I am going to drink until I feel too buzzed, so the extra OJ is a waste of their money. Even before 4pm hit he started talking to us about how they need to set up for dinner. Great, should have mentioned that before we sat, and who the hell is having dinner at 4pm on a saturday, when your dinner starts after 5pm according to the menu. Does it take an hour to set up the 12 tables in your restaurant? He gave us our bill right after setting our food down, and told us it’d be our last round. Wouldn’t have been offended if he told us we were too late, was offended that he lied and that the food tasted like I was eating a croc shoe.

First time at Lasagna Ristorante was about 7 years ago for a joint birthday party with some friends. I came back to try the location on 2nd avenue just recently and was equally satisfied. My group and I were immediately greeted by the hostess and asked where we would like to sit. After choosing a table to our liking we perused the menu… a dreamy, cheesy list of all the lasagne possibilities imaginable. There were vegetarian options and meat options(extra plus for my vegetarian buddies) and it made deciding easy. I ordered the spinach lasagne. Other dishes chosen that night were the ground sirloin lasagne, the hot and spicy penne a la vodka with chicken, and the fried calamari. I tried all three main courses that night and my favorite was the sirloin lasagne. The meat embedded with the cheeses and pasta was delicious! The hot and spicy penne was also very good, but I didn’t feel there was enough grilled chicken compared to the pasta. The best part of our meal was the dessert. There was some writing on the menu that said their tiramisu was the best. So of course we were going to try it. This tiramisu blows all the other competition out. WOW… the texture of creaminess, the mascarpone, was unlike the other slices of tiramisu I have tried. Before this, my favorite was the tiramisu at Luzzo’s pizzeria, but Lasagne’s is my new favorite. When I come back, I will order one all to myself :) I also want to add that the staff here is very attentive. I am not sure if he was the manager or the owner, but this person was very present. I observed him going to most tables and seeing if they needed anything. When I see this, it makes the experience of dining out ten times better. Thus, the 5th star!
