My mom has been raving about the checker slice for quite some time, and I finally tried it today in honor of her birthday. This cake is perfection at its best. IT IS LITERALLY THE PERFECT AMOUNT OF EVERYTHING. It’s a slice of FLUFFY HEAVEN. And it sure better be at $ 8.00 a slice!

If you like crepes, you’ll love Lady M Cake Boutique. Their green matcha version is famous. I love the green matcha! The cream is so light and well-​balanced. It goes perfectly with the multiple crêpe layers. It’s a very satisfying dessert, and not too sweet. Lady M is great.
Don’t miss out of their gluten free marshmallows — they are some of the best I’ve ever had!

Service was good. Easy to find in the food plaza. Ordered the chocolate banana and the green tea Mille crêpe cake. This is a cake that’s layered with individual crepes, almost like lasagna, stuck together with decadent, yet light, cream. The cream was honestly too sweet, however airy it was. The plaza, itself felt claustrophobic and uncannily dark. Not a very good ambience, with extremely limited seating for all the shops of down there. Overall, 2 cakes costed about 15 $$. Too expensive for too sweet of a cake. Friend and I could not finish them.

Too good! Best layered cake in the world! Tried other branches all over the states. The ones in NYC are still serving the best quality cakes. Thumbs up!

Great crêpe cakes. I’ve never officially been to the store before, up until the other day. I’ve had their cakes numerous times because my family would always buy it for gatherings. I’m not sure if they originated the crêpe cake but I sure as hell would like to believe so. Every other crêpe cake i’ve ever had doesn’t even come close. I had the vanilla crêpe cake and my girlfriend had the green tea. They were both amazing and filled with flavor, I could eat it over and over again. I would suggest to eat it after a light meal or an empty stomach just because it does get filling.

One of my favorite desserts ever! I’m a crêpe lover and this is amazing. The original flavor is the best. I’ve tried the chocolate and green tea but it’s a little heavier and dense compared to the original. It has to be eaten right away! If not, it must be refrigerated or it will decompose. One of the things I look forward to when visiting NY.

My favorite cake of all time from lady m isn’t actually their famous Mille crêpe, but instead their red velvet cake! Most people tend to not get that one because they think it looks too normal. But trust me, it’ll be the BEST red velvet cake you’ll ever have! It’s perfectly fluffy but not too fluffy and not too sweet. The cream cheese, oh my, so much better than regular frosting. However, they only sell the red velvet by the slice in the winter time. So when they don’t, I just buy a full size medium cake for $ 45 and share it with my friends and family. Totally worth it!
Also another seasonal cake that I love is the chestnut flavored Mille crêpe, only available in the fall.

When seeing shows last minute at Lincoln Center, my mom and I have found the Plaza Food Hall to be a great, no reservations needed option for dinner. For dessert on our last visit, we opted to try Lady M. I had been dying to try the green tea cake but my mom wanted to try the strawberry one so we got BOTH! While the strawberry slice was delicious, the green tea was definitely the favorite. It was creamy, airy, and had that nice matcha flavor without being bitter. I could probably eat a whole cake…

Got a slice of Mille Crêpe. Yes, it goes down well and tastes exactly how you imagine it: 20 layers of French pancakes with cream.

Wonderful crêpe cakes and prime location, shared seating in the plaza. They have a special banana chocolate flavor that I haven’t found in other locations (ah-​mazing flavor!). The cake is not too sweet (I call is Asian sweet) and it’s the most soft crêpe cake I had.
The reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5: they ran out of cakes twice among my 10 visits in the location. there were also times that only limited kinds left to choose from in the late afternoon. I would strongly suggest them to better manage their inventories to meet customers needs!
Their cake quality is consistent and fantastic! Girls I know are all crazy about this brand.

My siblings said that Lady M is super popular in Hong Kong so we thought we’d split a piece of their Crêpe Cake.
It was good. Not overly too sweet. It was about $ 8-​$ 9 they said which is what you’d expect. It wasn’t worth the hype but still delicious enough where if I saw a Lady M Boutique again, I’d definitely want to try some of their other desserts.

Love the location of this Lady M because my office is conveniently located right across the street.
There is usually a line here because it is one of the more popular spots in the Food Hall. I’m not a dessert person because it’s usually too sweet, but the Lady M crêpe cakes are absolute perfection.
They are not overly sweet and surprisingly, all that dairy is not heavy at all. The cakes are airy and light. My favorite is the classic vanilla, but the chocolate banana and green tea are delicious as well.
It’s not cheap, but it’s definitely worth the price. All the employees that work there are also always pleasant.

I was in the Plaza Food Hall for dinner and saw some cakes on display. I have a bit of a sweet tooth and couldn’t resist what came next:
Green tea crêpe cake — It looked promising but a little too creamy for my liking. The excess cream made the cake too heavy for my tastes.
Original crêpe cake — Light caramel goodness. If I can’t decide what to get, I usually go for the original.
Chocolate banana crêpe cake — If you like chocolate and you like banana, then you’ll love this crêpe cake. This is my new favorite. Reminds me of banana cream pie.

I’ve wanted to check out this location for quite a while now and I’m glad that I did not have to wait in line or be seated in a crowded area (ahem, Midtown West). The food plaza is easily accessible via the side door of the hotel and seating is freely open. I say Lady M has advantage over its competitors in the food plaza as they are the very first kiosk you will see as you ride down the escalator.
Buying the whole cake is an option and tempting but save that for special occasions! Each slice is about $ 8 and totally worth it. The green tea mille crêpe and gâteau aux marron were delectable! I prefer the mille crêpe style cake more than the other although they were both delicious. Light and sweet … a little airy and fluffy. Lady M is really a genius! Will have try her other desserts, but I know it will be a hard decision to make!

This place is famous, actually very famous, among young foreign girls. As a rebellion girl who doesn’t follow the trend, it took me a while to walk in to this café. These café locates from the upper east to midtown, certainly can’t reach downtown if they call themselves high class.
The place is small, as others mentioned in there reviews. Can be crowded depends on when you come. Sometimes to go takes even longer than seats. If you have a party of 2 it is ok, but if you have 3 or more people it can get really crowed.
I believe the menu is exactly the same with to go. Sandwiches, cakes, salad, standard stuff. Considering you are paying more for a table because of the tips, you would probably thinking more specials. A cup of British tea, a pice of cheese cake, the best combination for me. The waiter could get inefficient from time to time. Maybe too busy, or just the place is too small to turn around and see you. I can’t say you can have a good time eating here, it is just too small and it could get really noisy.
Cakes: Classic is classic, not unacceptably sweet, I believe you can finish one piece without a problem. But approaching the end there is no way to keep its original shape and you end up eating the cake by layers. Green tea: sweet plus a little bit. Popular among young girls. Cheese cake: plan cheese cake with a yogurt topping. They also have croissant.

Haven’t had Lady M for a while so decided to try something new this time; given the fact that the food court is so close to my company.
People usually talk about green tea crêpe cake so I am getting something different — the gâteau aux marrons, with chestnut in the center and cream to the side. The taste was completely amazing! Instead of the creamy feeling, it provided me a refreshing touch thanks to the nuts. It carried just the right level of sweetness!
Girls go nuts at places like this, every single time!

My co workers are picky when it comes to treats. I mean. I thought I was picky… but seriously. They’re not kidding around. My boss’s boss is German and one of the things I love about Germans is they tell it how it is. They don’t beat around the bush and I respect that.
Everyone knows I’m also the treat specialist in the office so the pressure was on. My co worker had her last day at work last Friday. My boss wrote an email that morning to confirm the afternoon treat run. I also took the opportunity to cross something off my treat to do list!
Many places came to mind but Lady M was the true winner here. My boss and I took a field trip to the Plaza. The shortcut is right across the park. Down in the basement is a plethora of quality foods to gorge on.
The workers at Lady M are always busy bees, layering, slicing and packing the famous cakes. I was drawn to the most famous matcha cake but thought it might be to adventurous for work. My boss was drooling over the chocolate and banana. He got himself a slice and he reported on Monday that it was amazing! The Strawberry Shortcake was the prefect decision. My co worker loves fruity and light. I especially love the meticulously layered strawberry slices that form a circle on top.
Verdict: everyone was blown away!!! They couldn’t believe how light and fluffy the cake was. They’re was the perfect amount of sweetness and strawberries. One co worker said it was easily the best dessert we’ve ordered ever. (We order a lot of treats) Everyone was so pleased they had to go for seconds. There was not even a crumb left. It was reminiscent of the Chinese fruit cakes. The icing was light and fluffy as whip cream. One of the best cakes I myself have had. I will be returning to taste the other slices for sure, especially the matcha.

Goûter tant attendu à central Park… Et bien peut être que j’en attendais trop (pour $ 8,50 en même temps c’est peut être légitime!) C’est bon, et l’idée est cool, j’essaierai d’en faire moi même :) mais j’ai trouvé ça un peu trop crémeux et pas assez citronné. Peut être que j’aurais dû choisir le thé vert? Je né le saurai probablement jamais, car c’est bien trop cher pour une petite part de gâteau.
