I’ve known Ken since 1997. Not only do I enjoy his company, I enjoy his hair cuts. First of all, he’s very meticulous and detail oriented. Second, he’s attitude free and always very genuine. Lastly, I think the time he takes to cut the hair and the quality of the cut you get compared to what he charges is great value to me. Although for a time I lived in San Francisco, I did come to see him for a haircut a couple of times when I came to NY on business. Now, living in NY once again, Ken is my guy to go for my hair!

Ken is awesome and I’ve been going to him for almost 10 years. I’ve gotten a number of people going to him because he is a consummate professional: exact, attentive, and excellent at his craft. He doesn’t posture or chat your ear off over nonsense. I tried a number of people and places before I found Ken, and the difference is night and day. I have straight, Asian hair — he is the only one I trust to keep me from looking like some animé caricature!

I’d previously written a review for Ken under the Grey Wolf Salon Unilocal page (where he works), but finding his own Unilocal page, I want to repeat my compliments. I’ve known Ken for over 15 years, starting when he was at Hoshi Coupe in the EV. He even remembers when I had long hair, which is embarrassing for me to think about. Over this long history, I have found him to be unfailingly patient and careful, and he really aims to give you a cut which fits you. As I said in the other review, it’s not just me: friends of mine and friends of my wife have since started going to him and continue to.

ive been going to ken since 1995 and no one can cut my hair like he can. he is v. meticulous when it comes to hair cutting. i am sure that carries over to coloring as well. he demands perfection of himself, leading to customer satisfaction.
he is fun to talk to and has a laid back manner. no pretense or attitude.
