Sometimes you want to believe it will all be good. I can honestly say NOT with Keith Lloyd. It has taken 9 months and one fitting and I still don’t have my suit. Endless delays due to their production. I have a wedding tomo and Christine said it was finally in, and they would ship it immediately. NO suit every arrived. So its Friday night at 9pm and Im without a suit for the event. I can’t warn you all enough not to buy a groupon or any coupon. I paid $ 2000 through a charity auction and the whole process was a stressful, miserable experience. Going bespoke is supposed to be fun and a luxury. For this price I could have gone anywhere. My loss. Even at $ 500 if you happen to be unfortunate enough to consider a coupon, you’re still screwed. 9 MONTHS! NO SUIT! Forwarned is forearmed. There is no excuse for the lack of customer care and their timeline. Ive been had along with the others. IF I had read the reviews before I bid, I would have had the information NOT to pursue doing business with them. Good Luck KLC. Most of your Unilocal reviewers concur with my conclusion. Don’t even think about it!

I bought a Groupon for a custom suit from Keith Lloyd. It was a little difficult to schedule my fitting session given what (I assume) was high demand for the offer. I eventually went in and found the team to be friendly. They weren’t the usual bespoke men’s tailor, but they were helpful. When the suit did arrive, frankly, it was perfect. I’ve always had problems with suits given my stocky bodytype, and this suit fit like a glove. No additional tailoring. I was so thrilled, I ordered some shirts and two more suits (over time). The fabrics are expensive, but the fit has been perfect and worth every penny.

This update for three stars is for the shirt experience ONLY:
Today, I went to pick up my free shirt. Ironically, it was ready a lot faster than I expected. The initial reservation was yesterday, but I had to push until today. It took a little but over three weeks for the order, construction, and pick up. I came in, I tried on, I liked, I left.
The shirt was actually well made. Fit on the first try, to my enormous surprise. Well fitted, material feels nice now that I am wearing an entire shirt as oppose to touching a fabric, good length to tuck in, overall: Very nice. Will I buy again? It will be a far stretch. For shirts? As long as they continue to come at this quality and at some type of discount, and I have funds, sure. Suits? Probably never again. Spend carefully for the shirts, not the suits.

I had an extremely poor experience here. The operations of this business are not well manage and result in an extremely poor and VERY frustrating customer experience.
I bought a GroupOn for a suit from them for $ 599. The initial appointment and measuring was done in early May. While there I was told there was a special offer of 3 shirts for $ 400-​$ 500 (I can’t remember the exact price). I bought 3 shirts and got measured for the suit.
In the conversation I had with the employee who was helping me I was told and lead to believe I was settling ALL charges on that day.
Later in the week I received two separate charges on my credit card for $ 99.81 and $ 497.09. These charges at the time appeared to make sense and I awaited delivery of my items.
I hear nothing for 2 – 3 months so I have to contact them several times before I can come in for a fitting and pick up my 3 shirts. My pants are too long and need to be hemmed. I was it would take about a month (this was in August I believe).
Several months pass and I hear nothing. E-​mails and calls/​voicemails to the merchant go unanswered so I e-​mail GroupOn asking for help they managed to get in touch with the merchant and I come in to retrieve my suit in October.
A charge for $ 428.27 pops up and I have no idea what this is for. Apparently they claimed they only billed me for half initially and are billing me for the second half. The shirts were invoiced at a price higher than what was originally stated. I was charged for the inside lining on the suit and at no time was this ever disclosed.
At no time did I ever receive an invoice detailing the charges. I only received an invoice AFTER I disputed the charges with American Express.
In summary this business doesn’t respond to e-​mails/​phone calls. They don’t engage in simple business practices such as supplying an invoice or disclosing charges upfront that would avoid misunderstandings. In the end the only resolution they offered was a «free shirt». Thanks but no thanks.

To preface, this is my first Unilocal review and I decided to go through the trouble of creating this place on Unilocal to put across my experience, hopefully helping someone who is looking into purchasing clothing from Keith Lloyd.
To sum up my experience with Keith Lloyd, the quality of their custom clothing is above average, but their service and process ruins the entire experience.
Back in February, I purchased a Groupon for a bespoke suit from Keith Lloyd. To start things off, a few days after the initial fitting, I was billed for tax on the suit, and the tax bill was much higher than I expected and not according to public NY tax opinions on the matter, but it was rectified through my own due diligence, but I will not get into that. With regard to the actual construction and process of getting the suit, things were very slow. Through question and answer on Groupon, it was stated that a first fitting would occur within 4 – 5 weeks, which in many circumstances results in a perfect fit, suit done and out the door. Not the case at all. It took 8 – 9 weeks for the initial fitting, in which they put the suit on me, said it looked good to them, and let me walk out with the suit. As I wore it, I noticed the pants were way too big, jacket sleeves were too long, and it generally fit very large, not like my other custom suits.
The first round of alterations took longer than the entire suit construction, finishing up in a whopping 9+ weeks. The suit now was too tight in the jacket and the pants were extremely tapered due to the large initial construction. I have since gone back again with another custom suit I have for comparison, but the problem is that the suit was just poorly sized to begin with so no matter how much alteration they do to it, it wont ever look correct. I have a couple custom suits from another merchant in the city, and as much as the quality may not be quite as high as this suit, the fit was spot on. And a large part of what you are paying for in a custom suit is having something you can be proud to wear and know you look good, and Keith Lloyd dramatically failed in that regard.
So I have now put in 8 months trying to get a decent fitting suit, and still have nothing to show for it. The whole process has been disappointing to say the least.
