I went to Dr. Silverman for the first time last week because of all the rave reviews. I was not disappointed. Lisa, the receptionist, really might be one of the nicest people in the world. Joanna, the hygienist, went on a No Plaque Left Behind mission during my cleaning. Loved her. Dr. Silverman was great, too. My search for a local dentist is over.

Dr. Silverman is a great dentist. Everyone in the office is also kind and accommodating.

I needed to get a procedure done ASAP since I am leaving town soon. I emailed them in the morning and they were able to squeeze me in a few hours later.

I went to Dr. Silverman based on Unilocal reviews, and the fact that he is extremely close to where I live. Excellent/​friendly staff and Dr. Silverman is caring and thorough, with a comforting bedside manner. For Manhattan, prices were pretty good. Will be back in six months!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this office was with my son and I yesterday. After having a nightmarish experience at a reputable teaching college in the city and walking out (almost running out) of the appointment, I found myself standing on the corner, with my 6 year old in tooth pain and rattled from his awful experience.
Desperate, I googled — great pediatric dentist UWS — and Dr. Silverman’s office popped up with many stars. Skeptically, I called and asked what they charged for a child’s crown. Lisa, the incredible office manager, detecting the urgency in my voice, said — why don’t you come up and let us have a look at your son. Even more reticent after having many lousy experiences that begin like this, I explained I didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. Lisa took the time to talk me off the ledge and convince me that the doctor is incredible at what he does and very ethical and fair. We’d figure it out.
Convinced, I headed to the office and it was the best ‘go with my gut’ experience I’ve had in ages. This office went over and above the call of duty for my son and I. Turned out my son didn’t even need the crown (nor the FIVE fillings) they were going to impose on him/​us at the world renown teaching facility. Craziness. Regarding payment, we did «figure it out», very fairly.
Recap — Lisa was welcoming and genuinely caring — she even called today to follow up and make sure my son was out of pain (which he is & even received a boost of esteem from the doc being so complimentary of his bravery). And Dr. Silverman not only a master at his craft, but wonderfully charming and put my son and I at such ease. I highly recommend this office and look forward to my own check up in the very near future. They’ve won over our entire family for sure.

Let’s face it Unilocalers, I don’t know anyone that wakes up and says «yay I have a dentist appointment today!!!». With that said if you are in need of care you would not go wrong with Keith (Dr. Silverman). I have been going there 5 years; his warm attitude, positive energy and more importantly his eye for detail all yielded in me having the healthiest pair of choppers in my life! His staff is super accommodating, love the classical music to help me relax!

I just had an annual cleaning here and had a nice experience. The office is clean and welcoming (one time I went to an office that had a dog roaming around in it, didn’t feel very clean!), the staff are friendly, and Dr. Silverman was careful and gentle with my teeth. He also did a nice job of communicating to me what he was doing throughout the cleaning and at the end asked if I had any questions for him, which was nice. I’d definitely get a cleaning here again.

Excellent Dentist. Very knowledgeable and friendly dentist. He explains everything in full detail on his procedures and the kind of care you need in a very friendly manner that’s easily understood. From the get-​go, Dr Silverman and his staff made me feel very welcome. I was impressed with facilites and my treatment. On the UWS, I’m not sure there is a better option; friendly, efficient and very skillful dentist make for a tranquil and pleasant experience.

Dr. Silverman was one of the best dentists I have seen. I came in with a chipped tooth that I got at a restaurant that was causing me pain. It wasn’t that bad, but given a previous experience that ended in a root canal, I wanted to be proactive. The receptionist was able to squeeze me in for an emergency appointment the next day.
Dr. Silverman examined my tooth, found a small chip, and applied a small bonding. He explained exactly what happened to my tooth, explained my options, and helped me decide on doing minimal treatment (it was nice to not get up-​sold to a more costly/​involved procedure). His manner was fantastic which helped ease my worries.
Dr. Silverman will be my go to dentist from now on.

I’ve been here a couple of times. Dr. Silverman is the nicest guy, and I have to say he and his staff really take the time to clean my teeth properly. He must be nice, because the cleanings are the gentlest I have ever had — no exaggeration. My last dentist told me to come in for cleanings every 4 months (something about me building up tartar quickly), but Dr. Silverman told me every 6 – 8 months is fine, so he’s actually saving me money.

My relationship with dentists are great. Like the old adage states, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Usually whenever I would call a dental office a receptionist would offer me a date in the sometime future. When I was asked how about today at 2. My anxiety filled me up and a nervous chuckle confirmed the time.
The office workers will make you feel comfy quickly. Except Maxine, she is straight to business. She does the books. Roxie, Cynthia, and Joanne are all smiles.

Joanne, one of the Dental Assistants, is like Carla from «Scrubs». Beautiful caring sassy and thorough. She does have over 14 Years experience under her belt.
This was the first time that someone explained about the reason why my x-​rays experience always sucks. I chipped a tooth and could not explain it. She could look at my mouth and tell me. That is knowing your trade.
Doc Zimmerman is a personal doctor. Left eye to left eye concern.
He has that comforting and reassuring demeanor that rivals Bob Saget.
Bob makes me laugh so who better to trust with your smile then a pleasant reminder.
A detailed teeth cleaning without pain is incredible. Two fillings later, and I was out the door within an hour.
His prices are higher than the norm. But you do get what you pay for. he expedient professional experience is first rate.

They overcharged almost $ 500.
I had small fillings there. I thought just filling may not cost too much money but they charged a lot. I asked front desk lady if the price was correct or not but she said it was the way it was. After I came back from the dentist, I talked with other people, and realized that even if it was expensive place, it could not be that much. I sent e-​mail to them to ask about money but they ignored. I called them but it didn’t help.
So, I had to go back to their office to get invoice. I found several strange things on the document. Obviously, they made multiple mistakes, and overcharged almost $ 500. While the front desk lady was calculating again, she just did it on the paper… and did not look very accurate or professional.
I have to tell you that you have to be careful to go to this dentist. I was wondering how many people were overcharged without noticing.
In addition, even without a mistake, this place is more expensive than other dentist. When I checked invoice, I noticed that they tried to charge as much as they could. The doctor noticed that I was arguing with front desk lady about mistake but it seemed that he didn’t care what was going on. I wouldn’t trust that kind of dentist.

For most of my life just the thought of going to the dentist was enough to send me into an anxiety attack. Then one of my co-​workers recommended Dr. Silverman and my life has changed!
I first visited him after my old dentist had totally screwed up replacing an old filling of mine. After much pain and months of back and forth with that old dentist, I finally went to Dr. Silverman who immediately identified the problem and fixed it easily. That was 2 years ago and I have been going to him ever since.
Dr. Silverman is extremely kind and gentle. He always tells you exactly what he is doing which is nice. The entire staff is wonderful, friendly and helpful. They know that I am a neurotic mess when it comes to having dental appointments and they accommodate my crazy as though it were no big thing.
I always recommend Dr. Silverman to all of my friends because he and his staff are the BEST!

Friendly staff, clean office, and personal care — can’t beat it. The receptionist is the best!
