We accept most types of insurance, including Medicaid, Fidelis, Health First, Affinity, United Healthcare, PBA, and more. You do not have to fill in your own insurance forms; we do everything for you.

Our pediatric dentists focus on prevention, early detection, and treatment of dental diseases, in a comfortable, painless, and relaxing environment. Our orthodontists aim to improve our patients’ health, function, and look. We provide state of the art orthodontics including Invisalign, Invisalign Teen, traditional braces, and retainers. We have state-​of-​the-​art facilities, the latest in dental care technology and equipment, and a staff of individuals experienced and trained specifically to work with children, adolescent, and children with special health needs.

We offer all types of sedation for children needing extra comfort. Feeling anxious about receiving dental care should never prevent your child from having the beautiful, healthy smile they deserve. We are also home to the Children’s Dental Foundation, a non-​profit committed to providing dental care and dental care education for pediatric dental disease.

History

Established in 2000.

Dr. Élan Kaufman comes from a family of dentists and surgeons, serving the Brooklyn and Manhattan communities for more than thirty years. At the Children’s Dental Hospital, Doctor Kaufman now leads a team of board certified specialists who enjoy treating exclusively infants, children, and adolescents, as well as patients with special health needs. Our Orthodontic Team also treats adults, and specializes in incognito braces, and Invisalign. We accept most types of insurance, including Medicaid, and most Medicaid HMO plans.

Meet the Business Owner

Élan Kaufman DMD FAAP D.

Business Owner

Dr. Élan Kaufman is a Board Certified pediatric dentist specializing in all aspects of children’s dental health. A Magna Cum Laude honors graduate from Binghamton University, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) in Boston, at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, also with high honors. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and associate member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

For over fifteen years, Dr. E. Kaufman devotes his time to teaching pediatric dentistry to pediatric and general dental residents at several NYC hospitals. Dr. E. Kaufman served as the Chairman of the Oral Health Committee of New York Chapter II of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Élan Kaufman and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Kaufman, a Pediatric Gastroenterologist serve as the Co-​Presidents of the Children’s Dental Foundation, Inc, a non for profit charity organization.
