awesome place. Cool manager, ask for Gideon whenever you come he is super friendly and extra helpful. And definitely a better karaōke spot then duet 53

I can’t speak for the 2nd floor, but the basement? Don’t do it. I took my 8 year old son there for a birthday party, and it was worse than terrible. I felt sorry for the birthday girl’s mom who hadn’t visited the place, but rather went on the restaurant’s claim that they host children’s birthday parties. Let’s start with the fact that it wasn’t air conditioned on a hot June day. The room was a dark pit. They only served water and soda, and not a snack in sight. If you claim to host children’s parties, you should have preselected playlist options with Popular songs, Classics ie., Beatles, Beach Boys, etc… A lot of the songs they played were accompanied by inappropriate videos for children. Frankly, most of the kids looked very bored and bummed out. Did I mention that I would never order the food? The restaurant’s rating is a «C»!!! I got my son out of there right quick, and I will NEVER go back.

Came here this past weekend with my 8-year old and some of her buddies. They had a kid special at $ 20 which included pizza, fries, nuggets and soda and two hours of Karaōke. I thought it was a great deal and the kids had a blast. Plus, the parents had a fun singing some old LL Cool J tunes. Overall, a good time had by all.

Stumbled upon this place last weekend, when we came here for mexican food. We thought it was just a mexican restaurant, to our surprise they had two floors for karaōke. After dinner we tried going to the karaōke lounge but it was packed, so we decided to try out one of the karaōke rooms. The room was big enough for the 8 of us with room to dance. Two things I really liked about this place is that the song selection was great and that they have spanish songs. We had such an amazing time, we are back here again tonight for a second round of fun. Lucky for us, this time we got to try out the lounge area, which was cool. Each drink gives you a song ticket. Personally, I prefer the private rooms, just you and your party having fun. One thing nemo can improve on is updating spanish songs, to more recent songs. This might just become my new go to waterhole spot. Food, drinks and karaōke can not you go wrong.

This place is the bomb I honestly have no idea how people give it negative ratings the music selection is outstanding. And the servers were super nice and kept the drinks flowing. We go to this spot once or twice a year for birthdays and always have a great time food is good and making a reservation is easy and painless. Wish we could turn the volume up a little louder than stock though!

HORRIBLE! I had the worst experience there. SERVICE: The service is slow, they aren’t ever there for you, they simply suck. *The manager is the rudest person I have ever met in my life. He is very moody and bad mouthed. BILL: We ordered about 20 shots and they sent us a $ 400 check. They have a 5 shots for 10 dollars but it’s a total fraud and the alcohol is horrible. If I could, I would give it negative stars. Don’t go. You might get your money stolen.

If you wanna sing while drunk on a budget this is the place for you. You’ve got 2 floors comprised of private rooms and a lounge. This it’s a «scene» so the bar in the lounge is limited and the bartender doubled as a DJ but did a great job. No food menus which was sad cause I was starving and didn’t want to go to the Mexican restaurant to eat leaving my peeps. Also the song list could have been listed by artist making it easier to find songs. All in all not a bad deal for your money.

No Frills Karaōke Spot. Sort of like if a dive bar meets your stoner friend’s basement kind of spot. You’d be surprised that there’s actually karaōke going on inside since you have to pass through the Mexican restaurant to enter. There are two levels, one on the second floor and the other in the basement. There are options to get a private room but where’s the fun in that. It’s inexpensive, and you can get a lot of bang for your buck. Sing to your heart’s content my friend! You can never go wrong with Whitney! The service here was great, the sole bartender /DJ made sure everyone was happy that night. Two things that they can improve on:(1) more drink choices, and(2) a separate book which group songs by Artist #justsayin All in all, it was a wonderful evening with fabulous Unilocaling /karaōke-ing friends :)

Excellent spot to play Karaōke with friends and family. There are many rooms on the 2nd floor, since our party was huge, we got the basement, and it was really kool ! it felt like a home atmosphere. The DJ host was amazing, he was so friendly and helpful, extremely courteous with great customer service, it felt as if he was one of the pack with us, he rocked and sang a few songs and he was really good at it. The whole basement to ourselves, the seats were very nice small squares plus the long couches, very comfortable, and they have screens all over the walls so as one is singing, one can turn and walk around the area and keep track of the song with the screens, this was a fantastic place to party. There is a nice Mexican restaurant on the first floor, I wasn’t hungry to eat, will do next time.

I am extremely disappointed in nemo. It was my 28th birthday this Saturday and I had requested a room within the system. I received a phone call and the person who spoke with me said we could not reserve a room and we could use the downstairs area. When we arrived there was a private party downstairs and no space for us up stairs. The man working said people had reserves rooms despite is having tried to do that earlier in the week. His response was«things happen.» Thank you for ruining my birthday. I will NEVER come here again. Very disappointed. As for the response below, you did not give us a time frame as to when a room would be available. You said 20 – 25 minutes and then kept changing what that was. Our issue is that you were rude and we had tried to reserve a room because it was my birthday. Still, nothing has been done to rectify the situation. We went somewhere else around the corner where we were given better service and the manager there stopped by every few minutes to check on us while we waited for a room. Still not pleased with nemo.

Horrible!!! Everything They only take 2 cards 35 $ minimum we had 5 people at 15 $ each. How does that work!!! They made us pay for the room ahead of time! Then told us we can’t order food or drinks because we paid ahead of time! Never coming back and telling everyone never to come here. Done.

I have been here so many times with friends, as it’s a great pre-gaming spot, if you’re interested in knocking some drinks back and listening to people sing karaōke in the process. They have 5 for $ 10 shots and you also get free song tickets with each purchase, so that you and your friends can sing karaōke!

Came here on a Saturday night with 9 people when it felt like every other private karaōke room was booked out in the vicinity. This place is a no-frills place. They only need one credit card and one 21+ person’s ID on hand. The first room we got for 9 people barely fit everyone, and the mics blew out 30 minutes in. We told the staff, who swapped us over to a larger room, which was nice. However, they let our time run when they were switching our rooms, which I found ridiculous. We all paid approximately $ 20 for two hours, which is okay, but I was pretty shocked at a lot of the service. Good amount of songs and the remote was easy enough to use. They gave us pitchers and cups of water, which was also nice. Drinks are expensive, but what do you expect? Won’t be back — just strongly encourages me to book out another karaōke place next time.

I went here with a group of girlfriends and had a lot of fun. Some of the lyrics for the karaōke songs were way off, but I guess that’s something to expect. We went on a Sunday afternoon so there were only a few other people there. They also had $ 3 Korean beers. I plan to go back for my birthday. Service was attentive and friendly.

Little Karaōke place shots was watered down tremendously they had a 5 for 10 special… 5 shots of tequila each and wasn’t even buzzed. I had fun singing though no frills type of spot

Went here last night with a group of seven after being rushed out the door by the karaōke places on St. Marks that had«no rooms available». The place was clean and well kept and the workers there were nice and professional. The private room itself was also very enjoyable. Not too crowded for seven people and the staff provided us with cups and pitcher of water. The lights were a great touch — not too crazy but lively enough. There was an abundance of songs to choose from and an easy mobile website to search them up easily. We were very pleased with the service we got and will come again!

A bunch of my friends and I were up for some post-dinner karaōke, but most of the places near the restaurant where we had eaten are 21+ to enter after a certain time. To give some of the under-20s in our group a chance to also embarrass themselves while belting out Top 40 hits, we headed downtown to Nemo, where we were able to book a room without a reservation. The employee quickly set us up with everything we needed and popped in 10 minutes prior to the end of our session to give us a heads-up about the time. In addition to the song books, Nemo now has an online site where you can search for songs, making it even easier to do your best rendition of «Livin’ on a Prayer»(an eternal karaōke classic).

My mistake. Went there again… Clearly Brandon was incorrect so I downgraded to 1 star. I am always startled when I get the bill because the guys at the counter can never explain why it is so high. But let me… Drinks were 32, room 46.80, sub total 78.80, gratuity 14.18, tax 7. Total 99.98. I had an hour free coupon(my mistake for using an extra hour by having too much fun). I was charged $ 62 with $ 14 tip. Brandon, I thought automatically tipping wasn’t the policy? Clearly you are incorrect of your own business practices. Plus the tip and tax are from the original price and not the discounted price? I’m not even sure how it makes sense because if 46.80 is for 2 hrs and I had a coupon, divide that by 2 is 23.80. Plus 32 drinks is 55.40, and 7 for the tip. This is for a room that is 12/person Steer clear. I am not drunk so I don’t fall for the trumped up charges and I may report them to the BBB because they are fraudulent. I got another«free hour» ticket on the way out. This is going in the garbage right away. Go to karaōke 16 or karaōke boho. Go anywhere else. Pretty terrible and unapologetic

Love love love this place. As someone who frequents multiple karaōke places in Manhattan, NEMO is definitely is one of the best. I would say on average, karaōke places charge about 9 dollars a person per hour. Here it’s 8. But the real kicker is their unlimited deals. I brought 12 people — we got an unlimited pitcher deal(Kirin draft) with 2 hours of karaōke for 30 dollars a person. If you don’t understand how good this deal is, you don’t know karaōke in the city. Great song list(they use the singsingmedia database) and great customer service as well. Gideon, the manager, is THEBEST. Make sure to say hi to him when you go.

Not as good as Duet 53, but I guess it’s okay. My friends and I had a room reservation at 6:00 pm. We were there at 6:00 pm but it took until about 6:15 until the guy actually brought us the remote and the microphones needed for singing. The song books are these old, ratty looking things with print that is nearly too small to read, especially after the guy turns the lights out(and them comes back in to check when you turn them back on so you can see the tiny print!). The room we were in only had one screen so if you were singing and needed the words, you had to have your back to the crowd. I like the places that have a couple of screens so you don’t have to turn around to sing. I thought it was just«meh». Nothing awful or anything and you’ll have a decent time but for the price, there are a lot nicer places.
