History

Established in 1965.

In Paris 1965, K-​WAY founder Leon-​Claude Duhamel observed people rushing by in soaking wet clothes and knew there needed to be a better way– a lightweight, completely waterproof jacket easily folded into a small hip bag. Soon everyone began to look to the practical jacket in nylon with enthusiasm, happy to leave the old umbrella at home. In the first year alone more than 250,000 pieces were sold. Today, K-​WAY North America continues that tradition of excellence, along with some more modern touches and tastes!
