Hey Just Salad. Maybe you should give the actual locations their own fucking phones. Why do I have to call a corporate number to find out why an order I placed is more than an hour late. The food is honestly pretty good, but this is the third time I’ve had to call some office to find out why it’s taking so long to make and deliver a salad.

Horrible horrible service. The salads are good but the staff is surly and always messes up deliveries. Further the wait time is almost always double the estimate so don’t hold your breath. And for the thousandth time they forgot one of my ingredients tonight but still made sure to charge me $ 2 for it.

The best salad bar around for your daily fix. Great variety, seasonal changes, and quick too.

I really love Just Salad’s product — it is unique and fresh. I’m afraid I have to write a negative review for this location hopefully as a message to General Management that they really, really need to train their employees here on service. They are just flat out rude here, and make no show of hiding it or an effort to even be baseline courteous. It is guaranteed that you will absolutely never get a smile or greeting from anyone on the salad line. I am certain that every time I go in here, I will leave feeling bad, they are just that rude. They make the customers feel as if they hate their jobs and are just miserable to put my delicious salad together. Example: Got yelled at yesterday for not choosing my toppings fast enough. No exaggeration. Another example: showed up at 11:30 once after a workout, and there were two people on the line — both looked at me like I was insane to try to make them work at that hour. I get the sense that they are also lazy and not trained well. They are messy and after chopping, leave tons of salad on the table. These salads are not cheap, so every bite counts! Yesterday when I asked for my avocado chopped on top, they chopped it halfway and just decided to throw it in. Exception: the cashiers. They are usually normal/nice. Sorry, Just Salad at 3rd ave, you guys really need to step up the service game. As much as I enjoy your salads, I used to come here 1−2x per week but I’m winding down being a customer here at all unless the service improves. It is just not worth it.

The name is misleading. They don’t just have salad. They also have sandwiches/wraps and smoothies. Regardless, I’m a regular at Just Salad because it’s close to work/home and because it is an efficient meal-obtaining experience and the taste and quality are consistent each time. Be warned that lunch rush hour can be killer. I feel they do the best they can, and they’ve optimized the assembly line to speed up the process. I usually get the California salad, and if I’m in a mood to treat myself, I also pick an overpriced bottle of juice from the deli fridge. I suppose the price is a bit high for just salad(pun intended), but I know what I’m getting myself into. Plus, they do participate in LevelUp, the smartphone pay app for restaurants, so you can actually accrue points to get discounts off your meals if you come here frequently enough.

Now let me start my saying, I do not want to do this. I do not want to write this review. I am hesitant not only because I am a frequent patron of this establishment and fear retaliation, but also because it’s a new year. A new me. My resolution this year was to be less critical of the things I cannot control. But alas, I am left with no choice and must revert back to my old ways. Happy fucking New Year. Let me paint this picture. Current climate: 28 degrees. Feels like: 2 Time: 8:22pm EST Mood: good spirits(past tense) I’d just come off of a good workout and fancied a salad, so I sauntered across the street for a light dinner, to-go. There were some changes to the seasonal menu that really threw a wrench into my plan. The sweet mama salad that I’d preselected in my head earlier that evening had been replaced with something called a «warm rice chorizo bowl.» I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t surprised, a little disappointed, and tickled with just a touch of intrigue. What was this mysterious bowl, and what would it taste like? Would it satisfy my post-workout appetite? Would it «warm» my soul with it’s «warm rice» on this cold New York City night? The answer is no. It wouldn’t. To all of the above. Because there was no fucking rice in my warm fucking rice bowl. It’s like ordering a buffalo chicken salad, and getting back romaine lettuce smothered in hot sauce instead. It’s like ordering a chicken parm hero, taking it home, and unwrapping it to find a loaf of bread. It’s like opening a pizza to find an empty box. But who would have thought, it figures.

I eat here regularly. You can sit down, and the price is relatively moderate. I find their selections a little simpler and less expensive than Chop’t, and they have been consistently quite good and I will continue to eat there. I don’t particularly find the service rude, as others seem to be saying. However, I was in earlier today and ordered a salad containing brown rice, and the rice was probably sitting in open air for too long, as it had hardened to the point of being crunchy. Really poor quality control there. Also, a few months ago, they had Wi-Fi, but it somehow was discontinued. I mean, come on. They seem to charge enough to supply Wi-Fi. That’s a bad management decision. The stale rice is a quality control issue.

I ordered on seamlesss. My order was an hour late(1 hr and 45 min from ordering) and I tried calling just salad — on hold for 10 min(I was 5th in line) and then they disconnected me. I complained to seamless and they called as well. Eventually they called me back and said sorry — due to new years resolutions they were out of my salad ingredients and they would not be making my salad. So no offer for a different salad, no additional comp. Just a 930 pm call saying they won’t be coming. They said they knew they didn’t have my ingredients since 845 when I already got a text from them that it was on its way 20 min before, yet no contact. I’ll never be ordering online from here again. Luckily chopt is down the road.

Loved the buffalo Salad, my girl also enjoyed the California. The service was pretty good except for our guy that cut the salad, he didn’t really greet us when we said hello. The gentleman next to him was cutting salad at record pace though!

Ordered through seamless on a saturday night and it came in about 35 mins(the estimate was 45 – 60) so that was a pleasant surprise but the salad was really soggy. The toppings(sweet potato, feta, etc.) were good but trying to enjoy them with mushy spinach was a challenge… all I could think was how I could have easily made a much better version myself if I had been home. I also didn’t get any bread.

When I lived down the block from here my fiancé and I really loved going to just salads. There portions are very reasonable for the price and with the plastic bowl you can get two free toppings. The employees were always really cool and I always was chatting with them when I would be waiting for my food. This place is really a great salad joint. I would totally recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice fresh salad.

I order from time to time and Its sad to say that they never give me any dressing, literally I ask for it on the side ad usually I ask for double because i eat half of the salad and then the other half later on. So its basically come down to Well if you charge me 1.35 for extra dressing and I don’t get any why would you give me attitude over it?!? So yeah the salad is good but the Preps are Forgetful!

The world’s rudest people gathered and started working here. If you need a lesson on how not to work in anything service-relate, come on down!!! The girl working the line barked at me to see if I wanted my salad chopped or tossed. Seeing as it was my first time, I told her I didn’t know the difference. She kept saying CHOPPEDORTOSSED louder and louder. The girl working the register at 9:50pm specifically is rude. Shoutout to the man working the chopper and dressing. He was nice. Everyone else can take a hint.

Horrible customer service! I ordered with them through seamless at 8:19 pm with an estimated arrival of 9:05 — 9:10pm. At 9:30pm I decided to check the status of my order. Turns out that the delivery guy was hit by a car and that a new order had been made and was on its way by foot. It was so sad to hear the news about the delivery guy. I really do hope he is ok. I told them that it was no problem and that I was fine with waiting for the guy on foot. By 10:22pm, nothing showed up. I called them only to find out that they were closed!!! I waited a bit longer… no delivery. I had to call Seamless and have my order canceled. What happened to the delivery guy is really sad. However, as a business you need to 1. Call customers and alert them about the delay and 2. Alert them that the order needs to be cancelled because they can’t make it due to unforeseen circumstances. 1 star for horrible customer service. I will never order from them again.

Just Salad is great. You can get a custom salad and calculate the nutritional information on their website, which is very useful. I’ve found that their quality has improved in the last year, they used to have limpid lettuce and vegetables but they taste much fresher. And I really like their tandoori chicken. A nice spot to stop for a quick lunch.

Well I used to have a good opinion of this place until about three weeks ago. Please see my pictures from a recent lunch. Absolutely gross finding a BUG at the bottom of my salad bowl. Thank God I was actually paying attention eating and not checking my phone. When I went to speak to the manager, he said«don’t worry, it doesn’t happened all the time» and offered to give me a gift card. Are you kidding me!!! «All the time»? — that’s you standard? What the hell is going on back there in the kitchen?! Lettuce is supposed to be TRIPLE washed. No I do not need a gift card, thank you very much. I promptly got my refund and ran outta there. This place will not longer enjoy my money. Be careful about your food, people.

You have to love places like this which give you a truly mixed salad alternative. Unfortunately most places where you order a salad tend to give you a bunch of greens with stuff piled on top… Just Salad assures you a truly mixed effort where everything is mixed together and the best part is that the possibilities are limitless as to what the salad will entail. My personal favorite is the spinach(not chopped) with turkey, banana peppers, parmesan cheese, olives and mushrooms. Add the low fat horseradish chive dressing on top and you’ve got yourself an amazing lunch. The staff at this location is great, friendly and quick. If anything is an issue here, it’s the fact that the place fills up rather easily and it can often be difficult to find a place to sit. Since we are just talking salads however, if you are patient enough a seat should open up soon enough. And, since this is Just Salad — you can always take it to go if you would like. I love Just Salad and I’ll definitely be back again!!!

Good grub lives here. I don’t think Just Salad is quite as good as Chop’t, and it’s definitely a few steps behind Sweet Green(my personal favorite), but if the location is right… go for it. I got the Smokehouse Steak salad with chilled avocado dressing — really glad they put the calories on the menu because why would I want to waste 200 calories on a dressing? — and it was pretty delicious. It’s a really fast-paced environment and it’s super loud, but other that that, I like Just Salad. I think I’ll go back if I’m in the vicinity of one and in the mood for salad. Overall: yum.
