Used to order from here to work for lunch pretty regularly but switched to Juice Press just because of the more consistent quality. Here however there are BIG portioned salads and it is very inexpensive. I usually order on Seamless, I recommend you do the same so you don’t have to say everything you want over the phone and you know your options. A salad can run you probably ~$ 8-$ 12? Not bad for the size! Try not to order around the lunch rush because the quality and quantity tend to go downhill.

Everyone at this location is cool, quick and there’s an awesome manager conducting the chaos line of lunchers. But, if you order the new Big Gay Garden Salad, don’t get your hopes up for it resembling anything in the photo except the bowl is round on top. Nice thought though…

When I pick this salad up I have no problem. Getting it delivered I would not recommend! It came two hours after I ordered and was drenched in salad dressing. It should just be soup.

Update: @justsalad more than made it up to me with a free salad of my choice every day this week delivered on time! Artur, the General Manager at the Hudson street location really turned this negative into a positive!

Thanks to the cross-contamination – you never know what you’ll get! It’s so exciting! Today I got mushroom bits and some black bean in my California salad. I used to get vagabond cranberries all the time! Once I got a beetle!

I want to love this place so much. It’s so close to work, cheap, healthy and quick. …but I can’t. Why? LACKOFCONSISTENCY! Sometimes I come and have an awesome experience, other times I am appalled at what I got and how I just paid for something so crappy. After regular trips I think I’ve figured it out: It all boils down to them operating poorly at peak times. On weekdays, when you go pre 12:15 or post 2:00, you get a good portion, your salad is well balanced with toppings and it’s appropriately dressed, mixed and put into bowls. Everyone is polite and happy. If you go in the terrible lunchtime rush, the employees work half-assed to stay ahead of the rush, but still fail. The salads are noticeably smaller, sometimes missing ingredients and when they chop and dress the salads, somehow only half of the salad ends up in the bowl. I use one of those reusable bowls(2 extra toppings, duh) and my biggest peeve is how they manage to get the entire bowl, inside and out, covered in oils and make it disgusting to hold. I’ll keep coming, but have learned my lesson and won’t go when the rest of the west village work force does too.

I love going here for lunch. Not only do they have amazing salads but the customer service is great!!! I try to get there before the rush but I’m not intimidated by it either! The staff is well managed they are so in sync it’s crazy!!! Go there between 1 and 3 and you will see what I’m talking about. They have staff helping you from when you walk in, all the way to the end experience at check out!!! It’s fascinating to watch how on point the staff is! The salad is fresh and you definitely taste the quality every time! I always build my own salad so I can’t say I have a favorite but I do have a fave smoothie!!! It’s called the Avocado Dreamsicle and it blows my mind!!! That’s how yummy it is!!! A MUSTTRY!!! It tastes like a childhood ice cream!!! Overall my experience alone deserves 5 stars!!! So great job Hudson Square team!!!

This is my favourite spot for lunch. I come here 3 times a week at least. The line gets crazy sometimes but they handle it very well. I love the salads but what I love about it even more is their reusable plastic bowls. It is not just I feel good about eliminating waste but they also give you two essential topics free when you refill your bowl.

By far hands down best just salad in NYC. The entire team is very nice and the store super clean. Also this is a high traffic area for lunch and I have never waited longer than two min to be helped even when the line is out of the door and down the block. Sally makes a ridiculous smoothie.

I’m new to this kind of thing… I guess you could say I was borderline annoying with a hundred questions and confusions… but they handled me with utmost respect… felt like they really cared, you know. soooo rare. I was blown away. they(«they» meaning the four that worked there: Alexis, Carlos, Roy, and Barnabas) were so patient with me(unheard of) and walked me thru the whole thing like they believed I was gonna get something really special at the end. they were right! my salad rocked. they knew how to read me; they knew what I wanted before I did — but was never ever pushy. I want them to come work for me! professional — kind — proud of the establishment … thank you justsalad people for making my day.

Good salad, while the lines are long, they move pretty darn quickly, even at the height of the lunchtime rush.

Best place I know to get salads. They have tons of options and their soups are really tasty too. The service is always pleasant and helpful.

I love their salads and always make a point to walk there and get one vs. ordering delivery. The delivery wait can be ridiculous. The last time I ordered I waited for over 2 hours for them to realize they forgot to deliver it. They refunded me for the salad, thankfully. I would highly recommend making the walk over to the restaurant if you’re planning to eat there. But please remember, the lines are very long even though they move fast.

The Chipotle/Subway-style eateries seem to be popular these days, so it wasn’t all that surprising to see a salad café set up this way too. The name of the game is efficiency, but I do wish the communication was a little clearer because at one point, I wasn’t paying attention to the assembly-line way my food was being prepared and it was already halfway down the line. I stopped by during an enormously busy lunch rush, but found service to be efficient and everyone to be friendly — when I was expecting kind of a madhouse. I was looking for something filling and thus got a wrap rather than a salad. Upon the greeter’s recommendation, I went with the Tandoori fire whole wheat wrap filled with romaine, Tandoori chicken, feta, pita chips, cucumbers, red onion and their yogurt cucumber dip/dressing. Hot hot hot! I loved the spicy chicken and the crunchy pita chips. The dressing was light and refreshing. Adding chips and a drink with that was a little pricier than I was expecting, but it was filling yet still seemed healthy.

Arrived to to find the Artisanal Angus Salad jacked up in price by nearly $ 2, so settled on the seasonal but really boring New Year’s Resolution Salad 420 Cal(Kale, Red Cabbage & Romaine, Turkish Figs, Goat Cheese, Walnuts, Seedless Cucumbers.)(Suggested Dressing: Balsamic Vinegar10 Cal) That said, this location has its act together and employs friendly staff, which you can’t say for some of the others.

Damn this place is expensive! The overall quality of the salad gets 4 stars. They have a pretty decent selection of options and the salad seemed fresh. However, those lines around lunch time… never again. I’ll stand on lines like that for Chipotle but not this place. My salad ran me nearly $ 12 and it was tiny! That’s why this place got 3 stars from me. In my opinion the food is not worth the price. You’re honestly better off going to Jazzy’s and paying 25% less.

The employee that prepared my salad doesn’t normally make the salads. So, he kind of made it up… as he went. So to be frank, the salad was a bit of a let down. Not two seconds after he finished prepping said salad, the employee that normally makes them showed up. I would have been happy to wait(had I known). Also, the detox juice was overly kale-like. Not a big fan.

The orange shot for 99 cents is a serious rip off– don’t get it. However, the half price smoothie special from 3−6pm is awesome and worth every penny. I got the Detox — light, no sugar added, kale and slightly lemony, it was a perfect sip after a long ride down to school. Take advantage of this deal before it runs out at the end of the summer.

Smoothies!($ 5.50) They are refreshing; perfect refreshment after hours in the sun: they being the _ViTAMiN C KiCK: coconut milk, pineapple, mango, orange _CHOCOLATE BANANASPLIT: coconut milk(or was it almond milk?), banana, dates, cocoa powder. I didn’t want it too sweet so I was able to substitute dates for kale! Also the lady working the smoothie bar was very friendly, courteous and patient saying to «take your time» with a genuine smile. Smoothies got me in and the kind service, taste & freshness of the smoothies I will gladly return for!

A new lunch option in the Hudson Square area is always appreciated, so I’m sure just salad will do well. My salad was very large and I was happy with the portions of the add-ins. At almost $ 11 I was a little sad at the price, but I did select a shrimp based salad, so a high price is to be expected. I found all of the staff to be very friendly and helpful.
