Business Owner

Joyce Leung Lilly is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of New York and is board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She received her Master of Science degree in Acupuncture at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York.

During her holistic health care training, Joyce completed internships at NYU Langone Medical Center’s Initiative for Women with Disabilities, and Yonkers Riverside Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center. She imagines the future of medicine to be wholly integrative and hopes to play a significant role in bringing the Eastern philosophy of physical, mental, and spiritual health into the framework of the modern healthcare system. Recently, she has been working closely with an established fertility specialist acupuncturist who lends support by using acupuncture & herbs to patients utilizing modern fertility protocols.

My chiropractor that had been treating my rotator suggested that I try acupuncture in addition to her manipulations to get the swelling down and promote circulation. So I went to see Joyce for a treatment at Yin & Tonic. I’ve done acupuncture before but more for headaches and sprains, never for loosening up tight tendons. The treatment included needles and electric stim for 20-minutes… and it was not only effective for loosening up my shoulder but the swelling decreased and my range increased with significantly less pain. The noticeable difference in my shoulder movement was pretty incredible and I will definitely make another appointment as this has been the best my shoulder has felt in weeks!

I have gone to acupuncturists for back pain, allergies, insomnia, etc, and all have been treated with success, although not all were permanent relieves. In the past few years, I developed joint pains, specifically in my knuckles. I had gone to another acupuncturist and after a few months, she was able to decrease the pain a bit. Then she moved all the way to the West Coast. I did not seek another acupuncturist because the pain was then bearable, and I just couldn’t dedicate another few months to treat the pain. A few months later, the pain intensified. I wasn’t able to open jars/bottles. I couldn’t even use chopsticks.
I had only 2 sessions with Joyce. After the first one, the pain was gone for around 2 weeks. Not only was the pain gone, my knuckles were no longer stiff! A few weeks later, the stiffness came back, and not long after, the pain. Oh, it was not even ¼ as much as before. I went back to Joyce again. It has been over 6 months now since my 2^nd treatment. My joints are now a little stiff and there’s a little pain when I press into my joints, but I can open bottles and use chopsticks with ease. I am extremely happy with the results. What makes Joyce different from the other acupuncturists I visited was that she treated my entire well-being. When she placed needles in my body, she would let me know what they were for, whether she was opening channels or treating the pain locally. After all the needles were in, she even taught me how to breathe to help with the needles’ healing process. Joyce is compassionate and sincere. She truly wants me pain free. Acupuncture is her passion. I was very lucky to have found her.
