History

Established in 1999.

Founded in the mid 70s by Joseph Cristiano who immigrated here from Italy. Started out in Rockafella Plaza, about 20 years later residing at 138 E 61 St. After years and years of his son Antonino, always watching, inspiring to follow his foot steps, he set out his journey in 2005 attending Empire Beauty School earning his cosmetology license, while apprenticing with his father, learning the unwritten guides to hair design that schools just don’t offer. From there Antonino set out to Manhasset, LI where he worked in an upscale salon to see the business from a different angle. He was then recruited to a salon on the north shore of LI for nearly 7 years building a cliente and making a name for himself behind the chair. It was there that he started working closely with a product line called Goldwell and began educating for the company. With the unfortunate passing to Antonino’s father he has come back in to the city full time to carry on his fathers legacy at Joseph’s hairstyling.

Following his fathers footsteps Antonino Cristiano, owner of Joseph’s Hairstyling, dedicated nearly 8 years of training as a professional hair stylist to keep himself current with up to date or modern hair styles.

Antonino has extensive training with the Goldwell color line, working along side with the company as a Goldwell Artist. On his down time sharing his knowledge and experiences with colleagues in the hair industry.
