Business Owner
Jean L. Chou is a New York lawyer offering legal representation to NY & NJ individuals and businesses in the areas of commercial and residential real estate and business law. Proficient in Mandarin, Jean works with both English and Chinese-speaking clients. She offers individuals, professionals, cooperatives, and privately-held companies a legal foundation for sustainability and prosperity.
In addition to actively contributing to the New York County Lawyers’ Association’s commentary on the New York Code of Professional Conduct published by the Oxford University Press in 2010, Jean strongly advocates pro bono representation, a medium she believes is vital to expanding access to justice to those in need. She has spent months of her time providing tax assistance to low-income individuals, obtaining orders of protection for domestic violence victims, helping unemployed workers recover insurance benefits and acquiring asylum status for aliens fearing persecution in their home countries.
